Hello

This week's gorgeous photo inspiration.

Hi Again!

Hope you are all doing well on this lovely sunny Friday!  Yes, the sun is finally shining...yeah!  I spent some crafting time last night in my craft room.  I'm even forgetting to watch some of my favorite shows such as American Idol and Grey's Anatomy due to my crafting addiction.:-)  But, oh well I can always see reruns or look them up on computer.  But, I did see the Royal Wedding this morning, did you?  It was so elegant and lovely, and I enjoyed it!  OK, now on to my card.  Isn't that a lovely inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tea Room?  I just love butterflies!  And, I so love K&Company butterflies!  I didn't want to overpower this card too much, so I let the butterflies make the statement.  A little sewing,  gorgeous ribbon, and border punch made the final touches.  Well, on to my housework that has waited long enough.:-)  Thanks for visiting here and enjoy your weekend...take care!

The lovely inspiration photo.
Hi there!

Happy Friday to you!  So, did ya see the Royal Wedding this morning?  I certainly did.  I wanted to see all the elegance and style make a wonderful show!  I think it went very well!  In the midst of all the bad weather going on, bad ecomony,  and wars, etc., it was a lovely distraction.  I wish for them many happy years together!  Ok...I'll stop gushing here...lol.  My card today is for the challenge over at The Play Date Cafe.  What sweet gorgeous colors they are this week with Sarah Anderson.   I decided to use my new stamps by Hero Arts and do a masculine card.  Masculine cards are difficult for me.  Ya can't be too frilly or too over the top 'cause that's just not a "guy" thing.  So, I tried to make it simple and add some brads.  I also inked the edges with black ink.  I love this Hero Arts set.  It is very versatile.  I'll be using it often for masculine cards.  Thanks for visiting and commenting!  Take care and enjoy your weekend!

Supplies:

Paper:  Bazzill
Stamps:  Hero Arts
Ink"  SU(Black)
Twine:  Really Reasonable Ribbon

Happy Birthday to You

This week's lovely inspiration photo

Hi Again!

I couldn't resist playing again this weekend in my craft room.  I saw the sweet and lovely photo inspiration over at The Shabby Tea Room.  All you needed to do this week for the challenge was to use doily and lace...how fun!  I found some pretty paper at Hobby Lobby last night and decided to use it for this card.  I embossed the bird cage and popped the little bird on a dimensional.  I used a doily and Tattered Angel frame and softened it with Antique Linen ink.  The edges and ribbon were also sponged with Antique Linen ink.  A scalloped circle is behind the frame.  And I was happy to use my new die from Verve for the sentiment.  Well, I better get some things done around here such as grocery shopping and  finish laundry.  Real life calls as usual...hehehe.  OK...you all take care and have a great week!  Thanks for visiting!

Blessings of Joy

Here is the lovely photo inspiration for this week!

Hi there!

It feels good to be back in my craft room after a busy week!  Not sure how many cards I'll get done for challenges this weekend, but I thought I'd try to make at least one for a favorite challenge of mine over at the The Play Date Cafe.  I knew that I wanted to incorporate those little butterflies on my card.  And guess what those butterflies are from...ya guess yet?!  Ok...they are from a Panera bread coffee cup holder...yep!  I just love the texture of it!  I punched them out with my butterfly punch.  I used my blender pen to fill in the petals on the flowers.  The bird is from K&Company.  And the lace is from American Crafts.  The background paper(Melissa Frances) is actually green, but looks a little blue in the picture.  And the awesome ribbon with great texture is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  Ok, hope you all have a fabulous weekend...take care...and thanks for visiting!

CCCB#51~Cheer Up!

Hi there!

It's a gorgeous sunny day here! Hope you are having lovely weather also! After I make dinner, which is lasagna...mmmm...I plan on taking a walk to enjoy some sunshine. But, my craft room called me to make this card for City Crafter Challenge.  Actually, I made this card for a friend's daughter who recently had ear surgery.  I have used this image before for a birthday card for a great niece.  I just love that bright sweet image!  I prettied her up by adding a pearl to her hair bow and on her shoes.  Also, I added some pearl cotton to her dress.  I then surrounded her with pearls beside her and below her.  Ya think I went crazy with the pearls?! :-)  Ok, time to scoot to make dinner.  Thanks for visiting and adding any comments...take care!

Welcome Little One!

Hi there!

How's it going?  Hope you are doing well!  Awesome bright colors this week for the The Play Date Cafe challenge.  I couldn't resist using my stamps from Pink Persimmon for a baby card.  I don't have any baby cards in my stash, so it's always good to have those on hand.  When my son was young, I used to dress him in the bright blue color.  It would bring out his adorable baby blue eyes.  Wow, how those days just flew by.  Above is a favorite picture of my son and me on Mother's Day a few years back.  This picture shows his sweet smile and his "baby blues".  Ok, well, thank you for  visiting and adding any comments.  It's appreciated!   The weather is suppose to clear up here.  We've had rainy cold weather all week.  It may even reach 80 on Sunday...yeah!  Take care and have a great weekend!

Happy Easter!

Hi there!

Happy Saturday to you! I hope you all are doing well! I just started on some Easter cards and entered the challenge over at The Play Date Cafe.  Those are lovely colors for the challenge.  Do you remember playing the Monopoly game?  I sure do!  Did you giggle when your opponent was sent to jail?  Hehehe...so fun!

I had a little trouble incorporating the silver/gray.  I added some silver around the eggs and the sentiment with a sakura gel pen.  Steady fingers to do that trick!:-)  I colored in the egg with a colored pencil.  Anyways, I had fun making this card.  Thanks for taking a peek!  I appreciate it!  You take care and enjoy your weekend!
