Friends

A gorgeous inspiration photo of fruit and flowers!

Hi there friends!

It's time again for one of my favorite challenges at The Shabby Tea Room!  Just look at that photo inspiration of loveliness!  It made me think of having lunch at a quaint little French restaurant in the country.  We are picking up a chair today that we ordered a couple months ago.  So, I'll be enjoying some lovely scenery on the trip down to Amish Country.  I'll just have to dream of being in France at the same time...hehehe.  It never hurts to dream!  We were to make a flower for the challenge, so I layered peach felt and muslin.  The center is a Crafty Secrets image, glitter button from American Crafts,  pink tulle, and pearls around the edges.   I distressed the edges of pink paper with antique linen.  The leaves are from Lovely Floral cartridge for the Cricket machine.  I finished off the card with some lovely seam binding!  Don't you just love seam binding?  I sure do!

Whatever you do this weekend I hope it's a great one!  Thanks so much for visiting here today...take care, hugs!:-))

Precious Baby

Sweet subtle colors !

Aren't those sweet subtle colors over at CR84FN?!  I couldn't resist this challenge for a baby card that I need next month for a co-worker.  The yellow flower was so fun and easy to make!  I visited Colleen's blog, and she gave a fantastic tutorial on how to make the flower!  I thought... ummm... ok, but it won't turn out as lovely as Colleen's.  But, I think it turned out well!  This card came together fairly easy for me.  I've been away on vacation and felt a tad rusty.  It really felt good to get back to my craft table and have some fun creating!  Thanks for stopping by today.  Take care and have a great week, hugs!:-))

Vegas Vacation Pics

Hi there!

We have returned from Vegas!  We had a great time and even came out a little ahead $150 with our gambling.  I played the slots and my husband played black jack.  We stayed at the MGM hotel.  The lion exhibit at the hotel was fantastic.(see second pic)  The restaurants were superb.  We ate at Emeril's, Diego's, and Wolfgang Puck's.  Needless to say, we came back tipping the scales....hehehe!  Time to get out my walking shoes!:-)  We went to Mt. Charleston about an hour away from Vegas.  Nice hiking trails with great scenery.  We took in a Circque du Soleil(Mystere) show, which was amazing!  We went to the aquarium at Mandalay Bay Hotel.  Some shopping was on the agenda at the outlet mall.  And, on the last day, we saw the outlandish fella(see last pic).  His name is Kotton Kandy!  Yes, look again...he's male!  There were some people in front of us who were from Ohio also.  So, he went into a O-H-I-O dance and slapped his belly to the beat while singing!  It was hilarious!  We had a great fun time in Vegas!  Hope all is well with you!  Thanks for visiting here today.  Take care!:-))

Tea with a Friend

The photo inspiration is just lovely, isn't it?

Time for another challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room!  And it's tea time!  The cooler weather is fast approaching us.  We've already had a few cool mornings.  It's a welcome relief!  Drinking tea is great for those cool mornings.  I have many fond memories of drinking tea with my sis and just chatting about anything and everything.  So, remember take time not only for a friend, but have some tea too!:-))  Thanks so much for visiting here today!  Have a great weekend!  Take care, hugs!

This card was for the last challenge at TSTR, but...sigh...I missed the deadline.  But, I thought I'd share this card anyways.  I was so happy to receive some blog candy in the mail that I won from Tammy Roberts!  So, I made this card using the Crafty Secrets images.  She also sent me two beautiful cards that she had made.  You can see her gorgeous creations here at  Paperie Sweetness.  Time to scoot for dinner.  Take care and thanks for stopping here today!:-))

You Make My Heart Sing!

Mmmm...scrumptious colors this week at PDCC!

My interpretation of the colors this week...

Just wanted to share with you a card I made for the challenge at The Play Date Cafe.  What gorgeous colors this week...mmmm!  I had the tree in my stash and thought, ok, this will work.  And for the other colors of watermelon and sorbet i just immediately thought hearts.  I also had the bird and took off a blue colored wing and placed the paper I used for the hearts.  I looked and saw the paper looks like feathers, ya think?  I used worn lipstick distress ink for the seam binding.  The stamp is from PTI.  Added gems as usual.  I think I'm addicted to gems.  Is that a good thing?:-)  OK, thanks so much for stopping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!:-))
