Happy Birthday!

Hi Again!

This is my second posting for the day.  Hope you are enjoying your weekend!  I had fun with all these pretty flowers for this birthday card for a co-worker.  I will keep this post short for dinner is calling me.  I may have another card to post for tomorrow.  It's only 5:03pm, but it's already getting too dark to take a good photo.  Thanks for stopping by!  Hugs!!:-))

Deer Ones!

Hi there!

Am posting more deer cards today.   The secretary at work asked me to make three more.  We have many volunteers who help us at work.  We could not do without them!  So, at Christmastime we make up gift baskets with a card to show our appreciation.  Inside the card I typed a sentiment, "You are such a deer and a wonderful volunteer!"  I made more cards last night and will be posting more soon.  So, please stop back again.:-)

I came over here to my craft room during half time.  The border battle is going on right now between Ohio State and Michigan.  It's a very close game.  I'm rooting for Ohio State.  My son's friend is here and he is rooting for Michigan...boo!:-)  Anyways, may the best team win!  OK...I better get back to the game!  Thanks so much for stopping by, take care and hugs!!:-))

Merry Christmas!

Hi there!

A Happy Thanksgiving to you all!  Seems a bit odd to post a Christmas card on Thanksgiving Day, but as you know in the crafting world one must work way ahead before the season!:-)  A friend of mine gave me this Christmas stamp, so I inked it up quick and made this card.  This is one card that would be easy to mass produce.  I made an adjustment to the holly leaves and cut those out after several attempts.:-)   They were outlined in white gel ink and brightened up with glossy accents.  Gems and a ribbon were addded for the final touches.

How are the Thanksgiving preparations going for you?  I made my cranberry salad last evening and will make some baked slice apples soon before going to sis-in-law's today.  Mmmm i can harldy wait to dive into some turkey, stuffing, etc. etc.!:-)  I wish for you a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded with love and good blessings!  Take care and hugs!!:-))

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Autumn...

Autumn, the year's last loveliest smile!  All the leaves are gone from the trees...sigh.  Winter will soon be here.  Fall is one of my favorite seasons.  I did have a chance to enjoy the fall leaves.  I sure hope you did also!  Just a quick post here today.  Since it is getting darker earlier now, I didn't get the greatest photo.  But, did want to share this fall card with you.  Thanks for stopping by!  Take care and have a wonderful week, hugs!!:-))

Thank You!

Sweet fall inspiration photo at The Shabby Tea Room!
For this challenge we were to use the colors,
brown, yellow, blue, and neutrals.
And, use a thanks or thankful theme.

Happy Saturday!

I certainly thought I'd be here posting much earlier.  It amazes me how time just flies by!  My vacation is nearly over.  Back to work on Monday...sigh!  But, I enjoyed my vacation getting together with some friends, lunch with son, and visiting my Mom.  And, I'm looking forward to another vacation next month!

Ok, onto my card, which went together fairly well.  I had the blue pom pom trim for a long time and finally used it.  I put the heart and bird on cardboard for a little dimension.  I came across a cross stitch panel and put that to use.  It was accented by backstitching with gold thread.  Little pearls were added to finish off the card!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend!  Thanks so much for stopping by here today, take care and hugs!!:-))

Fall Fun!

What a sweet little furry guy!
One of my favorite places to walk.

Rutherford B. Hayes house.

The 19th President.

These two little ones came up very close looking for peanuts!

Hi there!

Am on vacation this week, so I went to visit one of my favorite places to walk on a cool crisp fall day.  Spiegel Grove is the area of Rutherford B. Hayes 's house and museum.  It's about twenty minutes from my house.  Many people walk around on the grounds because it is so lovely and peaceful.  I finally remembered to take my camera along to capture some beautiful fall foliage and friendly little squirrels!

I hope to get some crafting done this week, but also have to do some fall cleaning.  I'd much rather craft wouldn't you?!   Ok, thanks for stopping by!  I hope you enjoy the fall photos.  Take care and have a wonderful week, hugs!!:-))

Thankful

Family...savor these moments...thankful!
And, the gorgeous photo inspiration for the The Shabby Tea Room!

Hi Friends!

It's a lovely fall crisp day here!  Many leaves have fallen off the trees.  It's one of my favorite times of the year.  It's nearly Thanksgiving, so time to make some cards for the special holiday.  And, to join with family and be thankful for all our blessings!

I couldn't resist the inspiration over at the Shabby Tea Room, so lovely!  I love texture and dimension, so I distressed the edges of Coredinations paper.  I had some felt leaves and backstitched with floss for interest.  The family sentiment was printed out using Cambria font.  Cardboard was added to the focal panel and distressed with tea dye and marmalade ink.  I added lace, ribbon, gems, and a button to the remainder of the card.  I certainly hope you are enjoying your day.  Thanks so much for stopping by!  Take care and hugs!!:-))
