Mom's Bday Party!

Hi there!

Am back again to show you some photos from
yesterday with my Mom's birthday celebration!  She turned 87!
She doesn't look her age!  She always likes to dress young
and, she loves her jewelry!  She is one dear sweet Mom!
She always encouraged us to be creative and have fun with
crafts!  So, we had a fun time of crafting yeasterday!
We made a card and Easter wall hanging.
Here is a photo of my four sisters.  Even my sis,
Cecilia, who is third from the left had fun!
She says she is not crafty at all.  But, her great finished
project proved otherwise...hehehe!!:-))

And, one more photo of us all with Mom...
Thanks for dropping by today!
Take care and have a great week, hugs!!:-))

Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

You know I love a shabby challenge!  So, I played
along this week at the The Shabby Tea Room!  We
were to use the inspiration photo as seen below.  And, a
pennant, flag, or banner displayed on our card.  I used
a banner with twine and cute little buttons.  Dies and
punch for the focal point.  I even dusted off my cricut
machine to incorporate a bird on my card.  I popped
him up on a dimensional.  I distressed edges with vintage
photo ink.  A tiny rose, lace, seam binding,
and pearls to finish off my card.

Also, I used the following sweet design and entered
Here is the sketch we were to follow...

OK, friends!  I have a couple hours before
my Mom and sisters arrive.  I better go and check
on the finishing touches.  I hope to get some great
photos of the birthday party!  Thanks for stopping
by today!  Take care, hugs!!:-))

Treats!

Hi there!

Just thought I'd share with you some treats I made
for my Mom and sisters for today!  I am having
them over to celebrate my Mom's 87th birthday!
The stamps are from Verve and say...You're
egg-stra special!  Isn't that sweet?!  So, I stamped
and colored them with copics.  I embossed the little hearts.
I thought ut-oh, how can I make these a little extra
special.  I had already had the hearts and eggs colored all
the same.  So, I added little flowers with different colors.:-)
Anyways, the food is on, house is cleaned, supplies are ready
to make a card and Easter hanging.  Now I'm just waiting for
my wonderful guests to arrive.  Whatever you do today I
hope it's a great one!  Enjoy...take care...hugs!!:-))

Easter Blessings!

Hello Again!
This is my second post for today.  I'd
like to share with you this card that I made for
one of my favorite challenges...The Shabby Tea Room!
And, they are celebrating their second birthday!!!
Happy happy birthday, Shabby Tea Room!!!!
Please stop over to wish them a happy birthday and join
in on all the fun!

I'm entering their challenge, which called for at least three colors
from the inspiration photo and dry embossing.

Here is my card...
And the colorful inspiration photo...
Oh, so many pretty spring colors!  First, I dry embossed the background paper and distressed it with tea dy ink.  Next, I stamped and colored the sweet little chick image.  Isn't she cute in the Easter bonnet?  I also added stickles to her and tiny little pearls.  Decorative border, lace, and buttons with twine were placed behind the focal point.  Tag, ribbon, button, and pearls flowers were added to finish off the card.  I hope you enjoyed visiting here today.  Take care, hugs!!:-))

certainly was in the mood after taking a spring walk at my favorite walking area.  The card is pretty self-explanatory.  I colored the image with copic markers, added gems, ribbon, and sewing!  Wherever you are, I hope you are enjoying some great weather!  Take care and thanks so much for stopping by today...hugs!!:-))

You're Too Sweet!

Hi there!  It's time for the Shabby Tea Room Challenge!
The challenge called for the colors of aqua, pink, and green.
We were to use a tag on our creation, also.

Here is the lovely inspiration photo!

Mmmmm such delightful sugary confections in the pretty glass jars!
I immediately was inspired by the lollipops.  So, I stamped up
my little gal from MFT.  I had fun stamping with her before.
She is just too darn SWEET!
I colored her with copics and fussy cut before placing her on doily die.
I distressed the tag and doily with tea dye ink.  Seam binding
with button and little aqua felt flower were added
to finish off the card!
Thanks so much for stopping by!  Hope you have a
wonderful weekend...take care!!:-))

Winter Wonderland!

We've had a mild winter so far, so I was surprised
when I woke up this morning and saw the ground covered in white!
Our dog, Shadow, loves the snow!  He's saying
to me, "Come on, let's play!"
As you can see, the snow is still softly falling.  I do
want spring to hurry up, but I think Mother Nature
wants us to enjoy the beautiful peaceful white scenery today!
Wherever you are, I hope you have a beautiful peaceful day!
Take care, hugs!!:-))

Happy St. Pat's Day!

A fun design challenge over at Tuesday Morning Sketches!

Hi there friends!

I stayed up late last night and made a St. Pat's card for one of my favorite challenges.  My card is pretty self-explanatory.  I had the glitter paper in my stash and thought it's time to bring it out for a St. Pat's card.  I thought it needed a little something, so I added the twine.  More St. Pat's cards to go yet...stay tuned.  But, first we are going away this weekend for a bowling tournament.  Wish me luck!  Maybe my Irish husband will bring me luck by cheering me on...hehehe!  Hope you have a great weekend!  Thanks for dropping by today, hugs!!:-))
