Boo!!!

Hi there!

How are you doing today?  It's a lovely fall day here,
so this afternoon I took a walk at my favorite walking
place at Spiegel Grove.  The squirrels were busy with
gathering nuts.  As I was walking, I had to dodge the
falling nuts from the trees!:-)  I kept thinking please
don't hit me in the head!:-)  Anyways, I had a great
walk and enjoyed the beautiful fall day.

Ok, onto my card.  I had fun making this Halloween
card.  The digital image is from Digital Paper(Etsy).
Isn't the witch sweet?  I don't think she could scare
anyone!  The orange felt is from MFT.  I backstitched
with floss to make a frame.  I found some crochet trim
and buttons in my stash.  The ribbon is from Paper
Sweeties.  Gems and stitching were adding to finish
off the card.

Here is the beautiful inspiration photo...

I'm entering this card over at City Crafter Challenge.
Thanks so much for taking time to view my card
today!  Take care, hugs!

Shabby Chic Style...

Hi Again,

This is my second post for the day.  I thought
I'd play along in a new challenge over at
Do More with Less where Colleen Dietrich is the
guest designer.  I love Colleen's elegant shabby
style!  For this challenge we were to make the
card shabby chic and add pearls and lace.
All products on the card are from Stampin' Up.
Colleen does a wonderful tutorial on how she
assembles her shabby chic card.  Go on over
and check it out!

Well, that's it for now.  Hope you are having a
great weekend!  Take care, hugs!

Fall...

Hi Friends!

How are you doing on this Sunday afternoon?  Well,
the calendar says it's fall!  And, it certainly feels like
a cool breezy fall day here today.  It's even cloudy
and rainy, too.  Oh, I love fall, but more in the 70's
not low 50's.  But, it's ok I'm sure we'll get some
more nice days before winter sets in.

My card is a very simple card, which is not my
usual style.  I was going to add more, but for a
change I thought I'd let the fall wreath stand out.
Here is the very lovely photo inspiration we were
to follow...

I stamped the wreath image and then stamped
red and orange leaves on the wreath.  I then
took a flower decoration and tore it apart
and glued it to the wreath.  A button and twine
were added to finish off the card.  I'm entering this
card over at Inspired By Stamping Challenge.
Thanks for dropping by today!  Take care, hugs!

Happy, Delight, Joy!

What do you need for a pretty party?!
I believe you need cake, candles, and flowers!

Just like this gorgeous inspiration photo...

So, I decided to play along over at the The Shabby Tea Room!
Just looking at the stunning photo brings me happi-
ness, delight and joy!  I got out some yummy papers
and flowers and assembled my card.  The sweet little cake
is from Stampin' Up.  And, the felt pink flowers are from K&Company.  I got out my copics markers and
colored the candles and cake.  Ribbon, gems, and tiny
white flowers to finish off the card.

Whatever you have planned for this weekend I hope it's
fun!  I have two Stampin' Up card events to attend.
And, my husband and I may take in a movie tomorrow.
Ok, until next time take care, hugs!  Thanks so much
for dropping by today!  I appreciate it!

Monster Bash!

Hi Friends!

It's a gorgeous fall day here in NW Ohio!  Just a
perfect fall day!  I plan to enjoy more of this weather
by taking a bike ride after dinner.  But, first
I want to share with you a card I made for the
challenge over at Dynamic Duos!

Here are the two colors we were to follow...

I had fun coloring those little monsters!  You ever
feel like that after a hard day at work?!:-)  I just had
to buy this stamp because one of the little monsters
is a nurse!  She's certainly not a monster, but I
plan to give this fun Halloween card to one of my
co-workers.  Well, it's time for dinner.  I hope
you are enjoying your Sunday evening!  Thanks
for dropping by today!  Take care, hugs!

Friend...

Hi Friends!

Happy Friday to you!  How are you doing on this
fine Friday?!  As you may know by now, my
favorite challenge is over at The Shabby Tea Room!

Here is the sweet beautiful photo we were to
follow this week...

For the challenge we were to follow the colors
in the photo and include lace, fabric, and a button.
Love that pink and aqua color!  Also, I noted the
polka dots, pink stripes, spools of thread, and pearls!
Lots of yummy shabby goodies in this photo!  So I
went to work with some stamps from Stampin' Up
for the sewing theme.  I used muslin fabric and all
the goodies that I just stated above. I used floss and
wound it around the stamped spool.  A needle was
added.  Lace, ribbon, and buttons to finish off the card.

And, here is the inside of the card...

Hope you are having a fab creative day!  Thanks
so much for dropping by today!  Take care and enjoy
your weekend!

this month!  She will hit the big "60"!  But, she
is a doll, so sweet and lovely!  One would never
know that she is turning 60.

I recently purchased some new stamps from
Inspired by Stamping, so I used that sweet
cupcake and colored it with my SU pencils.
I also added glitter adhesive for the frosting.

BOO!

Hi Again!

This is my second post for today.  Are you
getting in the mood to make Halloween projects?
I know that I am!  I got out some fun Martha
Stewart Halloween paper and came up with
this card last night.  I fussy cut those little
owls and added tiny gems for their eyes.  Some
gray floss was added from the web for the spider.
Ribbon and button added to finish off the card.
It was just a quick Halloween card made.  I need
to make some September bday cards.  So, off I
go to my craft table!  Take care and enjoy
your weekend!  Hugs!!

So Sweet of You...

Hi Friends!

Happy Friday to you!  I hope all is well in your
world!  It's time again for another Shabby Tea Room
challenge!  Oh, and how sweet it is to be inspired
by this fun inspiration photo with fab color and even
a banner!

Here is the inspiration photo we were to follow...

I did make one attempt to make a rosette.  Nope
I won't show you how I fumbled at that wrinkled
little mess...lol!  Anyways, I need more practice
at it.  So, I looked through my stash and found a
sweet K&Company one already made up...voila!
Just a couple of additions with heart, felt and pearls
and it was done.  It was then placed over a distressed
wooden star.  Also, the background was embossed
and painted lightly with white paint.  A canvas banner
made with felt and pearls.  Beautiful ribbon and
sentiment from Paper SweetiesCanvas trim, felt
hearts, and pins added to finish off the card.

Go on over and join in on the fun at The Shabby Tea Room!

You are such a joy!

Hi Again!

I had some fun craft time with this shabby card
last night!  I just love adding little details here
and there with shabby goodies!  This card is for
the challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.
And, here is the gorgeous inspiration photo...

I made this card for a niece who has a birthday in
October.  Whew, that is next month.  I can't believe
that it's September already!  Anyways, I got out
a Melissa Frances vintage frame for the focal point.
I applied gold embossing powder around the frame, die,
and chair.  The little chair is in the lower right corner.
I love crocheted doilies, so I placed one behind the die.
A piece of it behind the frame, also.  Liquid pearls
were placed on the die and a tiny dot for the bird's eye.
Some beautiful ribbon from Paper Sweeties.  Little
felt hearts, pearls, and gems to "pretty" up my shabby
card.  I finished by distressing the edges of the card
with tea dye ink.

Ok, I must run for now since the first Ohio State
football game of the season is on.  My husband has
been counting the days for this day to come!  I'll go
and watch a little with him.  I might sneak off to my
craft room again during half time!:-)  Thanks for
visiting here today!  Take care, hugs!

Happy Halloween!

Hi there!

How are things with you?  I hope you are
having a fantastic weekend!  I have a little
Halloween craft project to share with you today.
Can you believe this is a little recycled dobie
box?  My husband was ready to throw it away.
I said, "Wait, I think I might have an idea for
that little box!"  I have boxes I save from
working at the hospital, which are bandaid and
gauze boxes, etc.  And, I really don't have the
room to save all these things, lol.  Are you that
way, too?  Anyways, most of the products used
on this project are Martha Stewart.  The stamp
is from Studio G.  The border punch is Fiskars.
The rest of the items were in my stash.  Here is
a photo of the dobie box before I altered it....

Ok, that's it for now.  Please stay tuned for I
have a girly frilly card to share that I made last night.
Thanks for dropping by!  Take care, hugs!
