Sunflowers...

Hi Friends!

Just popping in quick with a fall card.  This is a card I made for my boss.  I didn't add a sentiment except for the inside.  I wanted the front to highlight the pretty sunflowers and gorgeous paper from BoBunny.  I really enjoyed making this card.  But, also sad at the same time for our boss is leaving.  She accepted another job.  We are very happy for her since it is a huge promotion.  She will be working for the same doctor, but just in a different capacity.  And, she will be able to work from home at times.  Now, who wouldn't love that!  Anyways, I made this card for all the co-workers to sign.  We will be presenting her with a gift and this card on Thursday.

For the card I started with a cream card base and layered with BoBunny papers.  I colored the sunflowers with copics and fussy cut them.  Gems applied to the centers.  The sunflowers are from the stamp set Stand Add -On 2 from Paper Sweeties.  I added a border with gems.  Ribbon, twine, and button to finish off the card.  Ok, that's all for now.  Thank you for viewing my card today, hugs!

Who loves ya baby?

Hi there!

Happy Saturday to you!  Are you having a great weekend so far?  I did some shopping and saw a movie, "Escape Plan".  It was a good action movie.  A few flaws in it here and there, but overall it was quite entertaining!

But, now I'd like to share with you a card that I made.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday and Serendipity Stamps Challenge. I recently purchased this owl die from Serendipity.  I do love owls!  And, I couldn't resist this lovely decorative die.  To dazzle up the owl I used orange and gold sequins topped off with a dab of glitter.  Gems were placed for the eyes.  I sponged the background with distress ink.  A border along the bottom with gems.  And, to finish off the card black seam binding ribbon for the bow.

Thanks for dropping by today!  Enjoy your weekend, hugs!

Pumpkin Patch...

Hi there!

Don't you just love the beautiful colors of fall?  I sure do!  And, so I decided to play along with a couple of challenges.  Just look at the gorgeous inspiration photo from the The Shabby Tea Room.  The challenge calls for fall flowers and to follow the inspiration photo.  I don't have any orange flowers in my stash, so I went with yellow and green.  I'm also entering this card over at City Crafter Challenge where the theme is pumpkin patch.

Well, that's all for now.  I'll be playing again in my craft room tomorrow.  So, I'll be back soon!  Thank you for dropping by today!  Take care and enjoy your day, hugs!

Ok, friends, I hope you are inspired by the wonderful inspiration photo and my card to join in on the fun over at Curtain Call Challenge.  You never know you just might be the lead to receive that awesome prize to purchase some fabulous goodies in the Paper Sweeties Shop!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a great weekend, hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

Just popping in quick with a card I made for a friend's birthday.
I've been wanting to use my BoBunny fall paper and did not want to cut the lovely sunflower, so I decided it's best to leave it on the card.:-)  Before this card, I first made some sunflowers with a punch, but quickly decided the pretty sunflower on the paper looks much better.  I stitched the felt leaves with pearl cotton.  And, the wooden pumpkin was painted with modeling paste and orange acrylic paint.  Lines were drawn on the pumpkin for added interest.  Twine, ribbon,  button and gems to finish off the card.

Ok, that's all for now.  It's a perfect fall day here.  The temp should be in the mid 70's today.  And, it's apple festival here in town today.  I'm looking forward to some great food, especially an apple dumpling with ice cream!:-)  Thanks for stopping by!  Take care, hugs!

Go Team!!!

Hi there!

I had some great fun this afternoon with my Paper Sweeties stamps.  I've been wanting to ink up the stamp set Rah-Rah!  If you don't know by now, we are HUGE Ohio State fans!  I'd say my husband doesn't go a day without reading about his Ohio State team!  And, is he in front of the TV on game day watching the game?  You betcha he is!  At times I watch the game with him and other times I create away in my craft room.:-)  So, I made the above card for my husband.  I hope he likes it!  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.

I started my card with a white card base and layered with scarlet and gray!:-)  I colored Emma with copics.  She was die cut using Emma Sweet Cuts.  Her outfit, pom-pom, sentiment, and banner in left hand corner is from the stamp set as I mentioned above from Rah-Rah!  I die cut the grass using a MFT die.  The footballs and foam hand is from Jolee's Boutique.  The helmet die cut is from Archiver's.  Gems and twine to finish off the card.

We've had some beautiful fall weather.  It's perfect for the apple festival here in town this weekend.  I am so looking forward to an apple dumpling with ice cream...mmm.   Ok, friends, whatever you have planned for this weekend hope you have fun!  Thanks for dropping by!  Take care, hugs!

Paper Sweeties Baby Blog Hop!!!

Hello Friends!

Welcome to a very special event today here at Paper Sweeties!  All of us on the Design Team are here to help our very own sweetie, Jinny Newlin, celebrate the exciting news that she is expecting her third little bundle of joy!  We couldn't be any happier for Jinny!  We wish her and her sweet family many joys and blessings!

In honor of this joyous occasion, the designers of Paper Sweeties. decided to get together and host a Baby Blog Hop!  We all have created a little something 'sweet' to share with everyone today on our blogs.

Here are  the sweet little projects that I came up with for Jinny...

Just a quick explanation about my projects for I know this post is full of FUN info for the
blog hop!  I made a baby card and tag using sweet Prima paper.  The stamps are from Paper Sweeties using the stamp sets Fancy Monograms and Little Wishes!  The lollipops as seen above are rolled baby wash cloths placed on baby fork and spoon.
They were placed in cellophane bags and tied with huge buttons, ribbon and twine.  Aren't they
cute?  They make for a darling baby gift!  They were so FUN to make!

Now a few gifts are in store for you...yeah!:-)  So, how about we give out a few!  We have several different ways for you to be eligible to win a $10 gift certificate to Paper Sweeties and we will choose THREE lucky winners!  Winners will be announced on October 31st!

#1 - HOP along to all the Sweeties Teamies' blogs and find the 'hidden' letter somewhere in their blog post.  After you've completed all EIGHT stops, you'll have eight letters that spell out a word related to today's Baby Blog Hop.  Unscramble the letters to figure out the word and then CONTACT US to send in your guess!  (Don't leave your guess in a comment here or everyone else will see it!)

#2 - COMMENT on the Paper Sweeties Baby Blog Hop post and leave Jinny a little baby blog hop love about her new little bundle of joy!

#3 - CREATE something with a congratulations and/or baby theme and link up in the Paper Sweeties gallery by October 30th at 12 noon EST.

#4 - SHARE about this Baby Blog Hop and Contest on your blog and/or Facebook wall.

Paper Sweeties October Inspiration #12...

Hi there!

It's time once again for the inspiration challenge over at
Paper Sweeties!  Just look at that adorable inspiration photo!
Who could not be inspired by that little doll?  And, such beautiful autumn colors, too!  Debbie has decided to inspire you by changing it up a bit from a sketch challenge.  So, starting this month you can follow shapes or colors.  Easy, huh?  We hope that this kick starts those creative juices to enter your lovely creation into the challenge this month!  The winner will receive a $20 gift certificate and an invite to be the guest designer for the following month!:-)

Here is the what I came up with to help inspire you for the challenge...

I started with a kraft card base.  The next step was lots and lots of fussy cutting and paper piecing!  I die cut Abigail with Sweet Cuts and paper pieced.  Her outfit is from the stamp set Live Love Grow.  I colored her with copics and added glossy accents to the bows and the apple on her dress.  The Sweeties Stand was paper pieced and cut for Abigail to stand behind the counter.  It was scored and inked for added interest.  The pumpkins, leaves, apple, and sunflower are from the stamp set Stand Add-On 2.  The pumpkin patch sentiment is from the stamp set Stand Add-On 1.  I finished off the card by inking the edges with Tea dye ink and added twine to the stand, sign, and button on the sunflower.

Please visit the Paper Sweeties blog to see more inspiration from the design team!  I can't wait to see what you came up with for the challenge!  Thanks so much for dropping by, hugs!
