Love...

Hi there!

Happy Friday to you!  So happy to see the weekend arrive!  Do you have big superbowl plans this weekend?  I'm hoping that the Broncos win...go Broncos!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for City Crafter Challenge.

The theme is Love Story this week.  I thought I'd use my PTI Love sentiment die with pretty glittery hearts as the focal point.  I started sewing around the edges, but ran out of thread and the stitching was all wrong. So, I added the side borders with pearls.  A crafter has to adjust at times...grrrr...lol!  But, I'm pleased with the final outcome.

Please stop back tomorrow since I have a sweet card for the Paper Sweeties February Challenge.  Thank you for viewing my card!  Have a great weekend, hugs!

Supplies:

Paper:  PTI, SU, GCD Studios

           PTI:  Love Sentiment
Punch:  Martha Stewart

Be Mine!

Hi there!

How are you doing today?  The sun is shining here.  Even though it's very cold, it's great to see the warm sun with blue skies!:-)  How cold is it?  It's 15 degrees...brrr!

I'd just like to share with you a quick card that I made recently.  It was super easy.  I started with a white card base and embossed it.  I placed red hearts and little bees stamped on circles.  Tiny red gems were added to their bodies.  Sentiment and more gems to finish off the card.  The sentiment strip(die) I won from Heather Jensen.  She makes gorgeous cards!  Her blog is filled with amazing inspiration...Simply Handmade by Heather.  Thanks again for the dies Heather!

Hi there!

Just popping in quick with a card I'm entering over at CASology.  The theme we were to follow is contrast.  I tried to achieve contrast with the black and white colors.  And, contrast with complimentary colors of blue and orange.  Although, the colors that I used are actually Coastal Cabana and Calypso Coral from SU.  Another contrast is the sentiment with the large bold letters of the first line of the sentiment versus the smaller letters on the second line.  The sentiment is from PTI and the birds are from Sweet 'N Sassy.  I don't often make CAS cards, but I am pleased how this one turned out.

Well, that's all for now, friends!  Thanks for dropping by!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Supplies:

Paper:  PTI, Bazzill
Stamps:  Sweet 'N Sassy(birds)

Love...

Hi there!

Hope you are staying warm on this cold wintery day!  I will welcome spring all the more due to this bitter cold snowy winter, won't you?:-)

Today I'd like to share with you a card I made to enter the challenge over at Curtain Call Inspiration Challenge.  We were to make a card with the the theme-Love Letter.  Here is my card...

I started with a white card base and layered with red paper and pink doily.  I used my new PTI heart plate for the hearts.  They were glittered and pearls attached.  The mini vellum envelope has a little love note with punch hearts inside.  I added glitter to the wooden figures and heart.  A white gel pan was used to write the word love on the heart and for the border.  The final touch was adding red ribbon tied with pearl cotton.

Thanks so much for dropping by!  Have a great day, hugs!

Winter Birthday...

Hi there!

Just thought I'd pop in and share with you a card I made for a friend recently.  It certainly is cold enough to go ice skating around here.  I can't remember the last time I went ice skating, but I have fond memories of ice skating when I was younger.  And, sitting by the fire sipping hot chocolate was the best!  I'm entering this card over at 613 Avenue Create.

I started with a white card base and paired it with DCWV papers.  A doily was placed behind the skates.  Punched snowflakes with glitter and gems adhered.  The skates were laced up with pearl cotton and glitter applied to the blades.  I don't know about you, but I'm looking forward to watching the Winter Olympics coming up very soon.  Which event is your favorite?

Thank you for viewing my card here today.  Take care and stay warm, hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

Happy weekend to you!  I'm just popping in quick to share a card with you that I made for a co-worker who recently had a birthday this month.  She loves the color green and being out in nature.  And, she doesn't like anything frilly at all.  Making a card that is not frilly is a bit of a challenge for me.  I thought...hmm...ok...going with the tree dies and snowflakes should be a safe bet.  She said she liked it, so my card making mission was accomplished!  As you can see above, it's a fairly simple card.  I won't go into detail, and you can note the supplies listed below.  I'm entering this card over at the following challenges...

Word Art Wednesday and City Crafter Challenge.

Thanks so much for visiting here today.  I hope you have a great weekend, enjoy!

Supplies:

Paper:  Kraft Outlet, Basic Grey, SU
Stamp:  PTI
Ink:  SU(Old Olive)
Dies:  Spellbinder's (Trees)

Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind...

Hi there!

Have you enjoyed the January Release this month?  I know I sure have!  Such wonderful stamps/dies that Debbie has designed for your stamping pleasure!  These stamps/dies are perfect for Valentines, birthdays, or even anniversaries!  They are all now available for purchase...yeah!

Today is a focus on previous Paper Sweeties stamps and also one of the *new* stamp sets this month.  I knew I had to get out the Sweeties Stand, so I colored the stand with colored pencils and paper pieced the awning with Echo Park paper.  Candy dots were added.  I paper pieced little Abigail and used the coordinating die cut Sweet Cuts-Abigail.  Her top is from the stamp set Sweetie Pie.  I colored her with copics and added glitter to her hair bow and collar.  I had to cut her arms so that she'd be able to lean over the counter with the delicious yummy pie!  Glitter was also added to the pie, cake, and cupcakes.  And, those baked goodies are from the stamp set Stand Add-on 6.  The lovely seam binding ribbon, Rose Petal Cupcake, is also from Paper Sweeties.

I hope you enjoyed the January Release this month!  I can't wait to see what you create with these wonderful *new* stamp sets!  Please visit what the other designers on the team have created.  Thank you so much for dropping by!  Have fun hopping and shopping!

Paper Sweeties January Release Party...

Welcome to the Release Party for Paper Sweeties!!!

Have you enjoyed the sneak peeks so far?  Aren't they just the best?  And, you know the sweetest season will soon be here.  I'm creating Valentine projects and I am having loads of fun!  How about you?  Are you creating some sweet projects, too?  To help you with those projects, the January stamps/dies are available for purchase today...hooray!!!

As you might have already guessed, I altered a coffee can for my creation.  I used the sweet little Emma and coordinating die, Sweet Cuts-Emma.  I colored her with copics.  I paper pieced her little outfit, which is from the stamp set Sweetie Pie.  I added tiny gems to her jumper(or apron) and red pearl cotton for her hair bows.  I have her holding a punched heart stamped with sentiment from the same stamp set Sweetie Pie.  Glittered foam hearts and foil doily stands behind the darling Emma.  And, red ribbon tied around the can.

The lid of the can was decorated with foam hearts and another sweet sentiment from the same stamp set.  Here is peek of the lid...

And, for the final touch I had to put some sweet kisses inside.  Delicious chocolate kisses...yummm....

Don't miss out on what the other designers for Paper Sweeties have created!  Here is the blog hop list and the list of the new products for this month available today!  Have fun hopping and shopping!  And, I thank you so much for visiting here today, hugs!

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown...

Hi there!

Just one more day until the *Release* day for Paper Sweeties!  You will then be able to purchase these sweet new stamps!  The *new* stamp set and coordinating die used for the above card is *Sending Sweet Thoughts*.

The cupcake, border of cupcakes and sentiment is from this set.  I squealed with delight when I saw this new stamp set!  The cupcake is so sweet and I just LOVE the sentiment!

I started with a cream card base and die cut the top layer of the card with a circle die from MFT.  I then layered with a heart doily that was punched and popped up for dimension.  I die cut the cupcake and colored it with a copic marker.  The heart gems were colored with the same copic marker to match.  I added lavender perfect pearls for the cupcake frosting.  Twine was added around the cupcake.  The cupcake border was added to the top of the card and tiny hearts were popped up for dimension.  And, here is a look at the inside of the card...

Just as a reminder...

Welcome Back, friends!

It is the start of *Release Sneak Peeks* for the month of January for Paper Sweeties!  I'm so excited to show you today's card featuring the Cupcakes & Sprinkles stamp set.  Oh, what a true beauty it is!  Look at all the sweet detail with those yummy cupcakes!  This wonderful stamp set will be available for purchase on 1/15/14!  Please note the *new* stamp list, which is at the end of this post.

I started with a white card base and layered with pretty Authentique paper.  Doilies were placed and I colored the image with my copic marker.  It was very delicate work, but well worth it.  I topped the cupcakes with glitter and pearls.  I stamped the sentiment onto a punched heart and lifted it with a dimensional.  To finish off the card I added ribbon, pearl cotton, and a gorgeous red Prima flower. This card would be very fitting for a Valentine or birthday card don't you think?

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

Are you having a great weekend?  I certainly hope that you are!  I just want to share with you a birthday card that I made for my great nephew.  I'm entering it over at Word Art Wednesday

Also, I'd like to share a photo of the concert we went to last night seeing LadyA!  It was loads of fun!  Ok...here is a photo...

I especially wanted to show this photo because they brought up a sweet little girl from the audience and let her sing part of the song.  A future singer...yeah!  It was such a wonderful show I truly enjoyed it!

Ok...onto my card now.  I started with a cream colored card base and layered with some wonderful Simple Stories(Smarty Pants) paper.  I took the negative from the 3 die and applied glossy accents and placed it in the right hand corner.  The star was cut using my cricut machine.  Candy dots were placed on the card.  Twine tied over the punched border.  I wanted the number 3 to stand out on the numbered paper, so I colored in the circles with a yellow colored pencil to finish off the card.  And, there you have it another birthday done to go out in the mail.

Thanks so much for taking the time to visit today!  It's appreciated!  Have a wonderful week, hugs!

Love...

Hi there!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at City Crafter Challenge.  For the challenge you are to use snow and birds in your project.  I'm just glad that the snow stopped for now around here.  I've been cooped up since Sunday.  The snow emergency is downgraded to a level 2, so maybe I'll venture out soon. :-)  Wherever you are, I hope that you are staying safe and warm.

Ok,  onto my card.  I started with a white card base and layered with red.  I topped it off with sweet cardinal/snow paper from Echo Park.  The stamps and Love die are from PTI.  I added glitter on the bird, heart, and button.  Sequins, gems, doily, and ribbon to finish off the card.

Thank you for stopping by!  Take care and have a wonderful day, hugs!
