Lovely...

Hi there!

I hope all is well with you!  I'm keeping warm in my house for the roads are still too treacherous to travel on.  We have a level 3 snow emergency for our county.  I was due to work today, but my boss called me last evening and told me that our clinic is closed.  So, I did some fun card making in my craft room last night.  Before I show you the card, I'll show you a photo of our wintery scene.  There isn't a lot of snow, but the roads are covered in ice.  The last time I checked we had -14 below zero last night...brrrrr!

OK, now onto my card.  You can see the above inspiration photo for The Shabby Tea Room.  It is so lovely!  I could not resist playing along for I love roses and I do love pink!  Here is a photo of my card...

I started with a white card base and added layers of sweet Authentique paper.  I die cut the pink frame from Spellbinder's(Decorative Labels Eight).  The image is from Authentique, also.  I added little hearts with a flourish and applied glitter for the little Valentine.  Pearls and roses were placed around the frame.  Gorgeous seam binding ribbon from Paper Sweeties was tied with glittered button and twine.  I used a decorative punch and stamped music notes onto white paper just under the ribbon.  Pom pom trim to finish off the card.  I must say that I love all the pink goodness on this card.  I do love some shabby/chic because it just speaks to my feminine soul...hehehe!  Ok, friends, thank you for dropping by!  Take care and stay warm and safe out there, hugs!

  1. Your card is so pretty and romantic, Maria. I love the paper and the wonderful pom pom trim. I always love your seam binding. Great image, too.

-14 is too cold! We were at 5 degrees this morning and that is too cold for me. I waiting for the warm-up and hope it is soon.

  2. Your card has a beautiful vintage look, Maria. I love your pretty rose paper and floral arrangement.

I heard on our news about the freezing temperatures you're experiencing in the US. They are calling it a Polar Vortex.....whatever that is!
It's just the opposite here in the UK. We've got warmer than normal weather, but lots of torrential rain, floods and gale force winds! Crazy weather going on!! Stay safe xx

The waeather in the USA is all over the news here in Europe. Good to hear you are safe and warm. And a little bit of extra crafty time due to the fact that the clinic is closed. We have not had much winter yet here in Holland. But the weatherforecast shows lower temperatures next week....
    Hugs!XX
