Happy Trails...

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to show you a CAS card I made for the challenge over at Colour Me.  Here below are the colors we were to follow.  I was inspired to make an outdoor camping scene.

It's that time for camping.  And, I'm sure there are some happy campers for we've had perfect weather for the past two weekends.  Several years ago we used to camp all the time, but we sold our camper.  I do hope to get back to it one day.  Anyways, my sister and a few of her children do camp.  So, I'm sending this card to her and s'more recipes that I saw on pinterest.  They look so yummy!  I am definitely going to try these out!

What do you think?  Which one will you try?  I just might have to try them all!:-)

All the details of my CAS card can be seen in my supply list since
this card was so easy peasy!  Thanks for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Whimsical Wishes!

Hi Friends!

TGIF!  I recently purchased this cute little stamp set from Paper Smooches!  There's a story as to why I couldn't resist that darling gnome!  My son's track coach used to call my son Jerome instead of Jeremy in junior high.  So, when I saw that this gnome's name is Jerome, I had to have it!  My son does enjoy receiving my cards, but I'm not sure he'll appreciate this one...hehehe.  But, that's ok.  I'll explain to him the reasoning behind it!:-)

I played with my copics and I do think I got the beard too gray.  I should have went with a lighter gray number.  So, if any of you out there know of a good color combo for beard coloring, please let me know.  But other than that I'm happy on how the card turned out.  I love all the little additions that come with this stamp set.  I think it's just too cute!  Well, that's all for now!  Thanks for the visit today!  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

Congratulations!

Hi Friends!

I hope that you had a great Memorial Day weekend!  It's the official kick off to summer...yeah!  And, a big thank you to all those who have served and are serving in the military to help protect us and keep our country free...thank you!

Today I want to share with you a card I made for my niece who is graduating from high school.  I started with a card white base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  I love the little owls and the graduation theme papers in this 6x6 paper pad!  I stamped the numbers, which are from SU.  The stitched rectangle is from Lil' Inker and the stars are from Colorbok.  Just a quick card to send off to my sweet niece!

Well, that's all for now.  Thank you for visiting today!  Have a wonderful week, take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Thank You...

Hi there!

Happy Sunday to you!  It's the middle of May and where is the warm weather?  Last week was cold and rainy, but this week should be much warmer...keeping fingers crossed!:-)  Anyways, I'm anxious to see my roses bloom. In the meantime, I got out one of my favorite rose stamps and made this thank you card for a nurse practitioner who has been helping us out at work until our new one starts at the end of the month.  I'm entering this card over at Seize the SketchAnd, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and added washi tape.  I received the lovely washi tape from winning some blog candy from sweet Lisa Elton(My Paper Tales).  She makes the most delicate sweet cards!  I colored the rose with copics and added leaves.  I punched the sides of the green panel and added pearls.  The final touch was adding the elegant thank you sentiment.

A view of the inside of the card...

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  I hope you're having a wonderful day!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties May Release Rewind!

Hi Friends!

How have you liked the new stamps this month?  Pretty awesome stamp sets, right?  Well, today I am using previous released stamp sets with *new dies*!  The previous released stamp sets are Sweeties Wagon and Wagon Add-on: Bloom & Grow.  The new die set, which is Sweet Cuts-Sweeties Wagon has several dies to cut out the banner, flowers, wagon, and other items.  You'll just have to view it to see what a value this die set is for all your crafting needs!

I started with a white card base and added some fun colorful Doodlebug paper.  I colored the banner and flowers with copics.  Buttons, ribbon, and pearl cotton to finish the card.  You'll want to visit the other designers on the team to see their amazing creations!  Here is the blog list...

Paper Sweeties May Release Party!

Hi there!

Yeah, today is the day that you can purchase the *new* Paper Sweeties stamps and dies!  I have Dr. Jake and Nurse Abigail back once again on this project today along with a get well note!  Don't they look so cute in their bright whites?

They were colored with copics and paper pieced.  I used coordinating dies to cut them out.  The *new* stamp sets used are Feel Better Soon and Sorry You're Sick, which were stamped on the card, note, and band aids.  I added RN to Abigail's uniform and Dr. on the doctor's jacket.  Baker's Twine(Strawberry) was used for the card and note holder.  And, the Straw(Robin Egg) is also from Paper Sweeties.

Here's the blog list of my fellow teammies!  Hop along and view some awesome inspiration!

Paper Sweeties May Release Countdown!

Hi Friends!

Welcome back!  Today is the countdown day for Paper Sweeties May Release!  I'd like to share with you today a card I made highlighting the Sorry You're Sick stamp set, which will be available on May 15th!

I have Dr. Jake ready to see his patients for the day.  He has lots of tissues available and his stethoscope in hand, too!  I colored him with copics and paper pieced.  I used Sweet Cuts-Jake die.  Sentiments, brads, and stitching to finish the card.  I stamped the same sentiment that was used on the card onto the prescription bottle.  Doctor orders...take two and call me in the morning.  If it were only that easy, huh?:-)  I tell ya, I'm having so much fun with this stamp set this month!  They make for the sweetest get well cards!

Here is a peek of the inside of the card...

Hop along and check out the talent from my amazing teammates!  You won't be disappointed!  Have fun!

Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties May Sneak Peeks!  I absolutely fell in LOVE with these stamps for the May release this month!  When I opened up the "happy mail" from Debbie, I screamed with delight seeing  these wonderful stamps.  They spoke to my little nurse heart with a great big smile!:-)  The stamps will be available for purchase on May 15th!

The stamp set that I'm highlighting today is from the set Feel Better Soon.  I colored Sophie with copics and paper pieced her nurse outfit.  I used the Sweet Cuts-Sophie die to cut out nurse Sophie.  I have her holding a band aid because you can always count on a nurse to have a band aid.  I added the sentiments, buttons, and washi tape to finish off the card.  Here is an inside peek of my card...

Are you ready for some more inspiration from some very talented ladies?  Follow the blog hop and have fun!

Thinking of You...

Hi there!

Happy Saturday to you!  And, Happy National Scrapbook Day!  I haven't scrapbooked in awhile and am certainly way behind because I prefer to make cards.  So, I have a card I made for a co-worker to share with you today.  Her mother-in-law just recently passed away.  She lived a good long life to the age of ninety-three!

I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.  I started with a purple card base and then embossed the white panel.  I colored the bouquet of flowers with copics.  Sentiment added along with pearls to finish off the card.

Today is a sunny day and a tad warmer, but we've been having a lot of rain lately.  But, in the midst of the dreary cold weather, we had a couple of visitors.  It brought a big smile to my face!  Here they are enjoying our rainy weather...

The lovely ducks were quite content swimming in the front ditch of our lawn until the dog spotted them and started barking.  We have a busy road in front of the house.  And, I didn't want them to get run over, but they made it safe and sound crossing the road.:-)

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you're having a wonderful weekend!  Thank you for dropping by!

Hugs,
Maria
