Thank You...

Hi Friends!

Hope your weekend is off to a good start!  This is my first time playing at Card Concept!  Lots of wonderful inspiration from the design team!  I was inspired to make a classy and elegant card.
And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and stamped the flower and leaf images.  I outlined the flower and leaf stems with a copic multi liner.  The flower was filled in with color using a blender pen.  Sentiment, gems, and ribbon for the final touch.

Thank you for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Autumn Wishes...

Hi Friends!

This is my second post for the day.  Please scroll down to see my water color card.

And, now I'd like to share with you a shaker card for the City Crafter Challenge as seen below...

I started with a brown card base and embossed it.  I die cut leaves using dies from Paper Smooches.  The paper is from Doodlebug.  Gold sequins were placed, which are from Paper Sweeties.  And, the stamp is from Precious Remembrance.  Ribbon for the final touch from Jo-Ann Fabric.  Well, it's late here and these tired eyes are tired!:-)  Thank you so much for dropping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Maria

Birthday Greetings!

Hi there!

Happy Friday to you!  It's a long weekend with Labor Day on Monday.  The official end to summer...sigh.  We had a good summer with cool temps...beautiful weather.  We are in dire need of rain, though.  Maybe we will get some soon.  Whatever you have planned for Labor Day, I hope it's a great one!

I made the above card for my brother-in-law.  I tried my hand at water coloring again.  I looked and looked for my water brush, but I could not find it.  I have another one on order, so I'll be practicing once again!:-)  It's a simple masculine card.  I felt like it needed something more, but for interest I lifted up the edges on top and bottom.  I used reinkers from MFT...blue raspberry, berrylicious, and sour apple.  The water color paper is from Tim Holtz.  The stamps and paper are from SU.  And, the metal dots are from K&Company.

Well, that's all for now.  Thank you for taking the time to visit here today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Make a Wish!

Hi there!

I haven't been here in far too long!  Hope all is well in your world!  I couldn't resist playing along with Colour Q this week seeing those beautiful colors...so pretty!  My mother-in-law's birthday is in three weeks.  She loves flowers and the color purple, so I came up with this card as seen below...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with razzleberry and wisteria colors.  I stamped the flowers on the background, fussy, cut and popped up three for dimension.  Metal dots and sentiment for the final touch.

Thanks so much for taking time to visit here today!  Have a great day!

Hugs,
Maria

Zoo...

Hi Friends!

Hope you are having a fabulous weekend!  My husband and I met up with our son who lives near Columbus, Ohio.  We thought how about having a fun family day at the Columbus Zoo.  We've heard many wonderful things about it, so we enjoyed our day viewing the animals.  Jack Hanna, who is now Director Emeritus, brought many positive changes to the zoo.  He turned cage-like enclosures to habitat environments for the animals.  It was amazing to see what a positive result it truly is for the animals!  Here are some photos...

This was great fun feeding the giraffe!:-)

Looks like me after a long day at work!  Just let
me lay here and don't make me move...lol!:-)

Lovely colors on this bird!

How would you like to carry around that rack!:-)

Big, white, and fluffy?:)

Mischievous Monkey!

Awesome looking tiger!

Very fast animal...cheetah!
Huh?  No more food?:-)

Ok, friends, that's all for now!  Hope you enjoyed viewing my zoo photos!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties August Release Rewind!

Hi Friends!

Today is Release Rewind for Paper Sweeties!  I am combining a new stamp set/dies Be Happy  with a former released stamp set You're A Superstar.  I just love the FUN star background!  And, I cannot help but think of my Grandma's favorite phrase..."Oh, my stars"!:-)

I started with a black card base and stamped the background with lots of fun stars and tiny circles.  And, they were colored with copics.  The background and sentiments on the stars are from the Be Happy stamp set.  The medium and large black stars that are layered were die cut and are the new Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  The stars in the corners with dots were made using a punch.  The large stars colored with copics are from the stamp set Fun ShapesJake 's outfit and the sentiment in top left corner are from the stamp set You're A Superstar.  Dots and twine were added to finish the card.

Happy...

Hi there!

Happy weekend to you!  I'd like to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at Colour Q!  I was inspired by the rectangles and lovely colors!

And, here is my card...

I started with a brown card base and added the white frame by using the MFT die.  The squares were cut using the same die and placed.  The fun happy die from MFT was cut three times for dimension.  And, finally the owl was punched for the owl with twine added.  I think it makes a lovely background with the different colors.  There are so many possibilities with the die...love it!

Ok, well, that's all for now.  Hope you are having a wonderful weekend.  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Anniversary Blessings...

Hi there!

Just popping in quick to share a card with you that I made for a volunteer at the hospital.  She faithfully comes in every Thursday to help us with filing, etc.  She also makes delicious treats for us at times.  What a dear sweet lady she is.  I was asked by my co-workers to make an anniversary card for her for all us of to sign.  How amazing that she and her husband will celebrate their 50th anniversary this weekend!

Here is a peek of the inside of the card...

Rather than bore you with all the details of the card, I'll just
list the supplies below.  Well, I took time out from laundry and
cleaning to post this card, so I'm going to return to all that fun.  I'd rather be crafting!:-)  Ok, that's all for now, friends.  Thanks for viewing my card here today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria
