MIM #199: Confetti Garland

Hi there!

How are you on this fine Thursday morning?  I'd like to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at Papertrey Ink.  The theme is to make a confetti garland.  I got out my sparkle and shine kit and went to work.  Great patience was needed for the garland...whew!  Stringing all those tiny sequins was fun, but tedious.  And, would I do it again...yes!:-)  I just love the dimension and "fun" look of the garland, which matches perfectly with the sequin paper!

Everything on the card is from PTI except for the silver thread.  For the love die, I stacked two pink and one blue for added dimension.  Three little sequins were added to the heart.  And, there you have it, my confetti garland card!

Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card today!  Have a great day and take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Your Kindness Warms My Heart!

Hi Friends!

Just popping in to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at City Crafter.  For the challenge, we are to create a project incorporating a drink of any kind...hot or cold.  I decided to use a coffee cup with heart.  I'm meeting my sis for lunch next week at our favorite coffee shop, and I plan to give her this card.

For my card, I started with a tan card base and paired it with patterned papers from Carta Bella.  I embossed the coffee cup image and paper pieced the heart.  I popped it up for added dimension.  Doily and trim were placed.  Ribbon, twine, and button to finish off the card.  I decided to place the sentiment inside the card.  Here is a peek at the sentiment...

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you are having a great week so far!  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Kiss Me...

Hi there!

Just popping in to share with you another Valentine card I made for my husband.  I bought a new Darice embossing folder with all the fun hearts!  Many times I would make Valentine sugar cookies and place those candy hearts in the center.  Isn't it fun reading all those candy hearts?

For my card, I started with a white card base and added a border with Doodlebug paper.   I got out my neglected chalk and applied it over all the hearts.  I cut out one heart and colored it with copics and popped it up for dimension, which reads...kiss me.

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you are staying warm wherever you are.  We are due for snow today.  But, not too much... 2-4 inches.  Staying inside today making cards sounds like a good time to me!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs,
Maria

I'm here to share with you a card I made for the MFT Sketch Challenge!  I decided to get out some MFT goodies and go to work to make this girly frilly Valentine card.  I'm also playing over at NBUS Challenge.  And, the never before used item is the decorative doily die.

 And, here is my card...

Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

How are you on this fine Wednesday?  Hope you are staying warm wherever you are.  I don't want to jinx things, but this winter hasn't been too bad so far.  We did get some snow today about an inch, and we are due for a couple more inches.  But, I can deal with a couple inches of snow!:-)

Ok, I just want to share with you a card I made for the challenge over at City Crafter.  I needed a masculine birthday card for my brother-in-law so I made this card...

I started with a white card base and paired it with gold and vellum paper.  The feathers were stamped with gold ink and gold stickles added to the middle feather.  The sentiment was embossed in gold and gold circle stickers added to each side.  I struggled with not added a flower or bow on this card.  But, I had to hold myself back...lol!  But, anyways, I hope my brother-in-law likes it.

Ok, friends, I hope you are having a great week.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

OSU!!!

Hi Friends!

Happy Sunday to you!  I wanted to share with you a card I received yesterday in the mail from my friend, Greta!  We had a friendly little wager regarding the National College Football Championship game that was last Saturday.  It was a great game between Ohio State and Oregon.  Both teams played an awesome game!  The bet was to make a card and send a little something from your state.  What a wonderful card she made for me...love it!  Oregon is such a lovely state and Greta sent me a pretty magnet, beautiful pocket calendar, and sweet die cuts!

How fun to have someone share the love of a good football game way across country in this blogging world.  Crafty friends are the best!:-)  Thank you so much, Greta!!!

Ok, just one more pic for I want to show you the biggest fan of this house is my husband, Randy.  And, guess who else he got to root for Ohio State...hehehe...yep...our dog, Shadow!

Ok, friends, thanks so much for dropping by!  I appreciate it!  Have a great week and take good care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind!

Hi Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today we combine *new* stamps/dies with previously released stamps/dies.  The lamb and chick are stamps that were released last year for Easter, but I thought that they certainly would look cute on a baby card.  They are from the stamp set Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.  The elephant is from the new released stamp set Bouncing Baby.  And, the sentiment is from the new released stamp set Bundle of Joy.  The sequins(Cotton Candy) and twine(Cotton Candy) are also from Paper Sweeties.

Another project that I created using the stamp set Bundle of Joy with coordinating dies is this little cutie...

And, tucked inside is darling little baby socks...

It makes for a quick little extra gift for the sweet little bundle of joy!  Just one more project to show you.  I often crochet baby afghans to have on hand.  Lately I've been crocheting white ones and adding a silk blue or pink ribbon.  But, on this latest afghan I decided to add a pink felt flower.  And, here is the baby afghan...

You will want to have some fun and hop along with the following list to see what my teammates created!

Paper Sweeties January Release Countdown!

Hi Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for Paper Sweeties using some darling baby stamps/dies that Debbie designed!  Isn't that the cutest little baby carriage?  And, a little baby needs lots of clothes, right?  The outfits and socks are hanging on the line nearly ready for the baby to wear again.  Oh, how I remember those days of needing lots of clothes for my son.  Those were the days...happy memories!

The stamp set that I used today is Bundle of Joy with coordinating dies Sweet Cuts-Bundle of Joy.  The other items from Paper Sweeties is the twine (Cotton Candy) and the straws (Robin Egg).  I used distress inks from Tim Holtz for the background sky using tumbled glass and broken china.  A fairly simple baby card.  For more inspiration from my teammates please follow along with the list below...

Love...and Go Bucks!!!

Hi there!

How are you on this Saturday morning?  I'm trying to keep warm.  It's in the teens here...brrr.  But, I do have my morning cup of coffee to help keep me warm!  Anyways, I want to share with you a card I made for the City Crafter Challenge.  We are to use burlap on our project.  And, here is my card...

I made a CAS Valentine's card for my husband.  The burlap tag is from Paper Studio.  I used Sissix dies to cut out the red hearts.  It's a little difficult to see the little heart.  It reads...be mine.  The chipboard hearts and arrow are from Crate Paper.  And, the hemp cord is from Darice.

Also, Greta and I have a friendly little wager going on because our football teams will be playing in the National College Football Championship Game on 1-12-15...Ohio v. Oregon!  It will be a great game I'm sure!  One of us will be sending a handmade card and a little something else to the winner.  Good luck to both teams!

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card today.  Take care and have a great weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

For my card, I started with a cream card base and paired it with gold paper, polka dot vellum, and pink polka paper.  The stamp is from Mama Elephant.  I used clear embossing powder and then went over the sentiment with my chalkboard pen.  I used crepe paper and tissue paper for the banner and added sequins and bows.  The bow die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the gold star stickers are from Heidi Swapp.  The cord is from SU, ribbon from PTI, and the sequins are from Paper Sweeties.

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

Happy weekend to you!  Today is a gloomy day here in NW Ohio.  We had freezing rain this morn, but it's now raining.  We may go out and take in a movie or shopping, so I'm glad that the weather is a little better.  Anyways, I want to share with you a card I made for my brother-in-law.  He has a Harley motorcycle.  I'm not sure what kind of motorcycle the stamp image is, but it'll do...lol!  My sis and he love to cruise on their Harley.  So, I hope he likes this card!:-)  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.

The stamp set I used is from Hero Arts.  The stitched dies are from Lil' Inkers.  The twine and dots are from Doodlebug.  The paper is from Me & My Big Ideas.  And, the birthday sentiment is from PTI.

Well, that's all for now!  Thanks for dropping by and viewing my card today!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Paper Sweeties Inspiration #27 January 2015- Winter Wishes

Happy New Year!

I'm wishing you all a happy healthy New Year!  May this new year bring you lots of wonderful blessings!

Paper Sweeties is off to a new year with a fun challenge! And, here is my card...

I was a little baffled on how I would make my card following the color choices, but I came up with a glittery silver as one of the main colors to give the appearance of ice and snow.  And, I got out sweet Sophie with coordinating die and bundled her up in her outfit using Let It Snow stamp set.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  The alphas are from the stamp set Alphas-Upper Case.  And, the cute snowman and red bow is from the stamp set Holly Days with coordinating dies.

Have fun creating a card or project this month for the challenge for one lucky winner will be awarded a $20 gift certificate.  And, an invite to be guest designer for the following month!

You'll want to hop along with my fellow teammates to see what creations they came up with...

January Guest Designer:  Beth Johnson
