Shine Bright!

Hi, Friends!

I made a quick card this evening for my son to celebrate his job promotion.   The smiley faces are just too darn cute!  I'm entering the card over at City Crafter where the theme for the week is whitewash.  We are to use white paint, ink, pen or spray on our project.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and added a silver border.  I painted the blue panel with white acrylic paint and sprayed it with vanilla shimmer.  I die cut the stars in silver and place a stamped vellum star over it.  Dots to finish off the card. Well, that's all for now.  Hope you're having a great week!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Thank you!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you had a wonderful blessed Easter!

I'm just popping in to share with you a commissioned card I made for a friend who wanted a thank you card.  She said her friend has a black lab and loves to hunt.  I'm not sure if I'll redo this card since I already redid it once, ha!  I think I got carried away with the sun rays, so I hid it some with the twine.  Isn't it something how some cards come together so easy and some don't...oh well.

I'm entering this card over at  AAA Cards.

For my card, I started with a white card base and used distress ink for the clouds and sun rays(mermaid lagoon, mustard seed, and squeezed lemonade).  The sun ray was made using a Tim Holtz stencil and a couple of punches and one stamp from Paper Sweeties.  The city scene stamp is from TE.  The tree dies are from Spellbinder's and the hills were made using a die from Lawn Fawn.  The deer are from IO and the black lab is from DRU.  And, the sentiment is from PTI.  I applied Wink of Stella on trees, deer, dog, and sun for interest.

Ok, friends...thank you so much for taking the time to drop by!  I hope you have a wonderful day!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes!

Hi, Friends!

I'm back once again with an Easter card!  I can't believe that Easter will be here this weekend!  We will celebrate with family by going to a favorite spot that serves a home style chicken/ham dinner...yum!  Whatever you have planned, I hope that you have a wonderful Easter with friends and family!

So, I couldn't help but make another card for Easter and enter it over at Lori's ChouxChouxPaperArt Challenge!  For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a fun Doodlebug treat bag.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.  I colored the Paper Sweeties eggs with copics and added stickles.  The grass die is from MFT. The adorable bunnies are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The border die is from Sweet 'n Sassy, also.  The dots are from Doodlebug.  And, the twine is from SU.

Here is my card...

Well, that's all for now!  Hope you have a wonderful week and joyous Easter!  Take care!

Happy Easter!

Hi, Friends!

Sorry I haven't been here in ages...whew!  Time does fly even when you're not having fun....ha!  I've been under the weather with bronchitis.  It started as a sinus infection and got worse.  I started antibiotics and cough syrup on Monday.  Last night was the first night I got a decent night's sleep since a week ago.  I have to be much better for this weekend since my husband turns the big "60"!  We will meet up with my son and go out to eat and to a hockey game.  I'm looking forward to having some fun!:-)

Anyways, the above Easter card I made for my friend, Peggi.  She loves tulips so I thought I'd incorporate them on the card.  All stamps are from Paper Sweeties.  I love the bright striped panel behind the water colored scene.  Twine and dots to finish off the card.

Well, that's all for now.  More Paper Sweeties projects will start this weekend, so please stay tuned.  Thanks so much for taking a peek at my card!  And, take good care for a lot of flu/colds, etc. is going around!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy St. Pat's Day!

Hi, there!

There's a fun green challenge going on over at Choux Choux Paper Art by my friend, Lori!  I feel like I'm getting behind on my St. Pat's cards, but I managed to create this card today.  Easter is just a few weeks away, too...wow...time flies!.  Anyways, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with Authentique paper.  I punched out hearts for the shamrock.  The buttons and shamrocks are from Jo-Ann Fabric.  The pearls are from Darice.  The seam binding ribbon is from Paper Sweeties.

I just thought it was such a cute image for it shows five girls.  In my family there are five girls...Donna, Lucretia, Maria(me), Cecilia, and Christina.  I wish I had five of these images so that I can send all of my sisters this card, but I guess I have to send it to my favorite sis...hehehe...just joking!

I had fun making this card!  I hope you're having some crafty fun, too!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria
