Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Happy Wednesday to you!  I thought I'd make a simple masculine bday card using the above sketch from Reverse Confetti.  I recently purchased some goodies from them and had some fun creating! I'm also entering this card over at Seize The Birthday.

 And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a Reverse Confetti card panel...easy peasy!  The other paper I used is from SU and Lawn Fawn.  The die and stamp is from Reverse Confetti, too!  And, the dots from Doodlebug to finish the card!

Well, that's all for now.  I'm off to the treadmill to try to take off a couple pounds that I've gained recently.  But, it's been great meeting up with my former co-workers for dinner!  Take care and have a great rest of the week!  Thank you for taking the time to drop by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, friends!

How's your weekend going?  We are having some fine weather here today!  My tulips or shall I say one tulip so far has bloomed!:-) When things are in full bloom, I'll take some pics to share.  I'm entering this bday shaker card over at Word Art Wednesday.

Anyways, it's been awhile since I've been here.  I've been working on projects and bday cards for friends.  So, regarding my card as seen above it was made for my friend, Karen, who has two friendly sweet cats!  They are brother and sister...Bruce and Angel.  I probably didn't get the coloring right on them, but just the same, I think she'll appreciate the card.  Next time I visit, I'll have to take a pic of them!:-)

For, my card I started with a white card base and paired it with pink.  The dies are from Mama Elephant.  The stamps are from Simon Says and the sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.  I masked the cats and colored them with copics.  The sequins are from Paper Sweeties, also.  Ok, friends, I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!  Take care and thanks so much for visiting here today!

Hugs,
Maria

Hi, there!

Today wraps up the April Paper Sweeties Release with today's Release Rewind!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the inspiration!  New stamps/dies are combined with previously released stamps/dies for our projects today.

I am highlighting the *new* stamps/dies from the set Happy Spring and coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Happy Spring.  The large flower, which can also be used as a wreath is from the *new* set.  The background and flowers were water colored.  The fun border paper is from Echo Park,  The smaller flowers were die cut from the center of the large flower and I doodled lines to match the larger flower.  Straws from Paper Sweeties were used and the leaves are from the new set, also.  Dots were added to the centers.  The sentiment is from the set Spring Is Here. Twine(Strawberry) and (Cookie-Dough) to finish off the card.

Ok, friends, I have another card to share with you using the new stamp set Happy Spring.  But, I'm using it as a delicious yummy donut!  The stamp is so versatile and so fun, which can be used as a wreath, flower, or donut!  I added stickles, liquid pearls and sequins(Marshmallow) to make it sugary sweet!  The coffee cups  and sentiment are from the stamp set Coffee, Yes Please.  The donut and coffee cups were die cut using Sweet-Cuts-Happy-Spring and Sweet Cuts-Coffee, Yes Please.  I used a Tim Holtz stencil for the background. Twine(Cotton Candy) to finish off the card.  And, here is the card...

Mother Nature and Happy News!

Hi, Friends!

This is what I woke up to yesterday morning...ha!  Mother Nature is sooo confused!:-)  We got about four to five inches of snow. Some places a little south of us got ten inches!  Can you believe today it is nearly gone due to rain?!  And, there is hope because the weather report today said it might be near 70 for the weekend...happy dancin' here!:-)

So, I made a card to help Mother Nature along to let her know many people are thinking spring.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a navy card base and stamped the Mama Elephant flower image on X-Press paper with Memento Tuxedo Black.  The image was colored with copics.  I stamped the sentiment with SU-Night of Navy.  Coloring the flower was very soothing while it was snowing outside...ha!  A one layer card for my stash, which doesn't take extra postage!

Ok, on to some happy news!  Another baby in the family...a great nephew born...Ash James!  He is welcomed by Mom(Adrienne), Dad(Stephen), and two older brothers, Gabriel and Jax...

Ash
Born:  April 10th at 12:43 am
Weight:  6# 10 oz.
Length:  20 in.

This is the baby afghan that I made for little Ash.

Ash, Gabriel, Adrienne

Jax and Ash.  Now I call that brotherly love!:-)

Ok, friends!  That's all for now!  Hope you have an awesome week! Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Take care!

Maria

Thinking of You!

Hi, there!

I hope all is well with you!  We are waiting here for warmer weather.  It seems that winter is trying to hang on with the temps anyways.  It has been windy and rainy, too.  But, as they say...April showers bring May flowers!

Not much going on in my world here. My husband has been working 12-hour midnights with one day off, which is Sunday until the middle of May.  We did have a great day on Sunday eating out and watching the movie Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.  It was a great movie!  We need more clean fun movies available...psst Hollywood!:-)

Anyways, for my card, the sun, clouds, and kite are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The ladybug and flowers are from Paper Sweeties.  And, the die used for the grass is from MFT.  The images were colored with copics.  Ok, well, that's all for now. Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria
