Merry Christmas!

Hi, there!

I'm back again quick to share a card with you that I'm entering over at Simon Says.  They have a challenge going on with the theme Christmas Critters.  I'm getting it in just under the wire.  I've been working on these Christmas cards and just love this fun stamp set from Mama Elephant!

This card will be going to my son who has two cats.  The coloring on them is not exact.  And, the dog outside the door isn't exact type or coloring, but that's ok.  It was so fun to color them.  When you open the door, inside are his two cats...

This card just makes me happy!:-)  I hope that he likes it!  Ok, back to my laundry and other things to get caught up on.  It's funny how the craft world calls you away from things...lol!  Take care!

Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Sunday to you!  The weather surely took a turn towards winter...brrr!  On Friday the temps were in the 70's.  I raked leaves and enjoyed the beautiful day.  But, on Saturday the temps took a nose dive into the 30's with a bit of snow.  Well, it is November after all, right?  It's always great to stay indoors and not go out if one doesn't have to, so that's what I'm doing this afternoon.  I'm getting caught up on projects and birthday cards.

My one sis has a black lab named Mya.  She is one sweet dog!  It may be silly, but my sis and I exchange bday cards for the dogs.  Another reason for me to have fun making a card!:-)  Anyways, just a simple card using some old stamps.  The image with the dog is from Anita's.  The bone on the dog house reads...bone sweet home.  The letters are from Hero Arts.  And, the sentiment is from PTI.

Well, that's all for now.  I may pop in again before the end of the week.  If not, I wish all my USA friends a blessed Thanksgiving!

Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

25 Days of Christmas Tags!

Hi there!

Paper Sweeties was invited by Tracey McNeely, to participate in the 25 Days of Christmas Tags Blog Hop!

How exciting...25 days with 25 sponsors!!!

These are this years sponsors!

I decided to make Christmas tags using Paper Sweeties new Merry and Bright paper!

And here are my tags...

I made two tags using Trim the Tree for the large trees and stars.   They were die cut with coordinating dies.  The smaller trees are from Planner Series: Happy Holidays.  The sentiment, wreath, and candy canes are from the same planner series set, too.  The snowflake is from Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats.  A sequin(Mistletoe) was placed on the snowflake.  Ribbon(Robin Egg) and (Frosting) to finish the tags.

Hope you will be inspired to make some fun festive
Christmas tags!

Thanks so much for dropping by!

Paper Sweeties November 2016-Release Rewind!

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties November Release Rewind!  Today we make a project using new and previously released products!

Today I am highlighting the new Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats, which are the large candy canes, gum drops, peppermints, snow on windows, heart and siding on the house.  They were die cut using the coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats.  The gingers, small candy canes, and the sentiment is from a previously released set Ho-Ho-Ho.  The small holly is from the set Deck the Halls.  The wreath is from the set Home Sweet Home and the bow on the wreath is from Thanks Berry Much.  The window was made using Sweet Cuts-Window Add-on: Elements.  The banner was die cut using the Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.

I started with a paper mache house and painted it with white acrylic paint.  An old stamp pad was cut for the base and covered with texure paste and Martha Stewart glitter for the snow.  I wanted to be able to have the candies easily stand since they have a toothpick center.  So, the stamp pad provided a soft base.  The house was covered with kraft paper.  Many pieces were die cut for the siding and I made six small windows.  The front window was made into a shaker window with the background water colored.  The sequins are (Snowflake) and (Mistletoe).  The door was made using die cuts from the Sweet Cuts-Window Add-on: Elements.   And, here are couple more views of the gingerbread house...

I had so much fun creating this gingerbread house!  You can take the lid off and place treats inside, which would make a wonderful gift!  I wish you could see it in real life.  The photos just don't capture all the glitter and beautiful color!

Please hop along to see what my teammates have created!

Paper Sweeties November 2016-Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has done it once again!  She created a darling little image...a deer...for Christmas projects!  Little Rudolph looks so cute on the treat box, don't you think?!  All new stamps/dies will be released on November 15th!

For my treat box I used red card stock for the base and used Doodlebug paper to cover it.  The deer is from the new set Jingle All lThe Way and die cut with coordinating die.  The holly, which is from the set Holly Days was stamped and colored with copics. And, it was die cut with coordinating die.  The sentiment on the snow drift is from the set Little Wishes.  Twine(Strawberry) to finish the treat box.

I couldn't resist making another project with little Rudolph, so I made tags...

The sentiment is from the set Stand Add-on: Manger.  The bird is from the set I Love Summer.  The snowflakes are from the set Stand Add-on: Sweet Treats and die cut with coordinating dies. The backgrounds were embossed. Sequin(snowflakes) were placed on top of the die cut snowflakes.  The ribbon(Robin Egg) and twine(Strawberry) to finish the tags.

Please have fun hopping to see what my teammies created!  You won't be disappointed!  Have fun!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-November!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of November! There is a new planner set this month and I'll reveal it on my planner pages for next month.  But, I will show you a peek of some of them on my project below.  They are just the right size and so cute to make Christmas tags! So, the new set for this month is Planner Series: Happy Holidays.

As you can see on the right page of my planner, I have little Emma in her pilgrim costume. She was die cut with coordinating die.  I colored her and the turkey with copics.  She is ready to cook the turkey...run turkey run...lol!  I stamped a little pumpkin on her outfit, which is from the stamp set Happy Thanksgiving.  The turkey and sentiment is from the set Gobble Gobble.  The sentiment at top right page is from the set Give Thanks.  I used the Planner Series: Fall stamp set for the turkey and pumpkin.

A closer peek at the pages...

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi, Friends!

How are you on this fine day after the election?  I won't bore you with politics, but I'll say that I hope we can all work together and move forward!  God Bless USA!  We have a lot to be thankful for! I'm wishing all my friends in the USA an early Happy Thanksgiving!  I'm entering the below card over at AAA Cards...

I can't believe how fast the summer and fall have flown by!  We've had a beautiful fall with warm temps.  Today it's rather chilly, but the sun is shining!:-) And, tomorrow is another birthday for me...wow!  When I was much younger, I used to think my age was very old.  I no longer think that...lol!  My son and husband are surprising me by going out to a new restaurant this weekend.  I'm really looking forward to it!

For my card, I started with water coloring with distress inks for the background and die cuts.  The stamp set is from PTI.  I was very inspired by Kay Miller's beautiful card.  And, here is her card...

I just love her clean crisp style and great use of color!

Well, that's about all for me today.  I've been working on Christmas projects and other things.  On Sunday, I'll reveal my planner for Paper Sweeties for this month.  So, please come back soon.  Until then I wish for you a wonderful rest of the week...take care!
Thanks so much for dropping by!  I appreciate it!

Hugs,
Maria

Dies R Us-Team A-Thankful for Nature(thank you or nature based)

Hi, there!

Happy November 1st!  And, it's time for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Thankful for Nature)!  I love nature, don't you?! We used to go camping and see deer and smell the wonderful pine trees.  Maybe one year we will get back to it!:-)  Lovely fall pumpkins this time of year. too!  It will soon be Thanksgiving...bring on the turkey and pumpkin pie...yummm!

For my card, I started with a cream colored card base and paired it with Bazzill and Doodlebug paper.  When my card was done, I thought...wow...no stamping...all dies!  I used seam binding ribbon from Paper Sweeties(Cookie Dough, and Creamsicle).  The twine is from PTI to finish the card.  It doesn't happen very often that I don't use a stamp on my card!  But, that's ok for I'm quite please how this fall card turned out  All the dies that I used on this card are listed below...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!
