Purrfect Birthday!

Hi there!

Happy Sunday to you!  I hope you are having an awesome Sunday! Are you ready for the Oscars?  We haven't seen a lot of the movies that are nominated, but we did see Hidden Figures.  And, we give two thumbs up for that movie!  I will enjoy watching the Oscars with all the glitz and glam.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed for an enjoyable time without too much political talk...lol!:-)

Anyways, enough of that and on to my card.  I enjoyed making some cards today and made one that fit the challenge over at City Crafter.  I used a couple of stitched dies for the background and sentiment.  The kitten is from a Christmas set, but used it for a birthday.  The sentiment was finally achieved after three tries.  It is from two different stamp companies.  I merely inked up part of the words very carefully.  I was happy dancin' when I finally stamped it purrfectly...lol!  And, here is my card...

Well, that's all for now!  It's time to pop some popcorn and enjoy the Oscar show!  Thanks so much for taking time to drop by!

Hugs,
Maria

Love...

Hi, there!

TGIF!  It's a wonderful day here in NW Ohio.  An unusually warm day in the 70's.  We are due for some storms later.  It was good getting out without a coat to enjoy the warm weather.  I enjoyed lunch with a few friends and had some delicious Chinese food.  The company was filled with great conversation.  We hope to do it on a monthly basis...how fun!

I know Valentine's day was here and gone, but I haven't posted this card yet that I already mailed to a friend.  And, I decided to enter it over at The Card Concept.  I think it fits into the Classy and Elegant category.

For my card, I used a couple of Lawn Fawn dies.  The gem stamp was made using an MFT stamp.  The sentiment stamp is from Hero Arts. Gold ribbon and clear gems from PTI to finish the card.

Here is a view of the inside of the card...

I've been busy working on design team assignments and a few Easter cards.  Last night I remembered that I skipped St. Pat's Day.  I always make a card for my husband since he's Irish.  So, it's time to work on St. Pat's cards.

Well, thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have an awesome weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties February 2017-Release Party!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  This awesome fun stamp set Hoppy Easter is available for purchase today!  Also, please scroll down to see my second post today for Dies R Us.

There are lots of fun sentiments to this new stamp set, so I decided to make tags along with my other project, which can be seen below.  I just made a few simple Easter tags using the cute bunny!  I added googly eyes, bow ties, and the sentiments.  The heart border is from the set Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  The seam binding ribbons are (Cotton Candy) and (Robin Egg).

Project Supplies:

Next up is my 3-D Easter basket project filled with the hoppy bunnies!

I started with a paper mache basket and painted it yellow and then covered it with a white wash.  The eggs are paper mache painted in various colors.  Cotton Candy seam binding ribbon was tied under the bunnies.  Pom poms were glued to the edges around the basket.  A big poka dotted ribbon for the finishing touch.  This basket with the happy hoppy bunnies will be sitting on my dining room table this year!

Another view of the Easter eggs...

Please have fun hopping to see what my teammies created!  You won't be disappointed!  Have fun!

Dies R Us Challenge February 15, 2017- Think Spring!

Hi, friends!

It's time once again for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Think Spring!  Ahhh...spring is just around the corner.  It is one of my favorite seasons!  I just love seeing all the yellow daffodils and tulips around town.  I've never planted daffodils, but do have yellow tulips that I'm anxious to see bloom!

For my card, I started with a yellow card base and paired it with a white embossed panel.  I colored the flowers with copics.  I used several dies for my spring card.  All dies that I used are listed below...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Paper Sweeties February 2017 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Happy Valentine's Day!  Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  The team is working ahead this month with Easter stamps/dies to be released tomorrow.  I will show an Easter card below.  But, I couldn't let today go by without showing a Valentine card and a treat project for my husband.

For my card, I used the stamp set With Love(lace heart)and hearts.  The banner is from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  The sentiments are from Happy Everything.  And, a couple more hearts are from  the sets Thanks Berry Much and Coffee, Yes Please.

Project Supplies:

And, here is the treat project for my husband...

The box is from WalMart and I filled it with heart peppermint patties, which is one of my husband's favorite treats.  I simply made a tag.  The stamp sets used to make the tag are Little Wishes, With Love, and Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  The ribbon(Frosting) and twine(Strawberry) is from  Paper Sweeties, also.

Project Supplies:

And, my next project is highlighting the new Easter stamps/dies that will be available for purchase tomorrow!

A happy adorable bunny is included in the new stamp set Hoppy Easter along with eggs, banner, small flowers and fun sentiments!  I stamped and colored the Easter eggs with copics.  I covered them with vellum for a softer look.  The basket is from the stamp set Basket and die cut with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Basket.  The scalloped border was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.   Sequins(Robin Egg) and ribbon(Cotton Candy)for the finishing touch.

Project Supplies:

Please have fun hopping to see what my teammies created!  You won't be disappointed!  Have fun!
