Celebrating You!

Hi, Friends!

Oh, where are the blooms?  They aren't here in NW Ohio yet.  In fact, it's a rainy cold day here.  But, showers bring lovely flowers.  And, I'm guessing in a couple of weeks...soon!  So, what do to on a Friday?  Well, I finished cleaning the house and now it's time to make a card with lovely blooms!  I'm entering the card below over at City Crafter.

My sister, Donna, has a birthday on Easter this year and she loves the colors of pink and purple, so this birthday card will be for her.  I hope she likes it!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  I used a stencil and lightly added distress inks for the background.  The big blooms were colored with colored pencils.  I adhered the flowers and popped up the bottom two for dimension.  I gave them yellow gems for the centers.  The sentiments were embossed and popped up for dimension, also.  The blooms took awhile to color, but well worth the effort!

Thanks so much for viewing my card here today.  Take care and have an awesome weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my husband's birthday!  His birthday was March 12th.  But, I had a post for every day last week due to DT assignments and St. Pat's Day.  So, I decided to share a pic of the card today along with a few photos.

For my card, I used a few MFT dies and the bday sentiment is from Reverse Confetti.

My husband prefers to have a cherry pie made for his birthday instead of a cake.    Here is a pic of him with the pie...

I bought him a new Ohio State shirt.  In the previous pic you can note that the shirt is from 2005.  But, it's one of his favorite shirts.  And, believe me he has lots of Ohio State shirts...lol!

Our son came up for the birthday fun and we went out to our favorite Mexican restaurant.

Well, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi, Friends!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!  Today is the day to bring on the green!  I made this card for my friend, Nancy, who happens to be Irish by marriage, too!  She adores animals, so I made sure that I included one on her card.

I colored Sophie with copics and die cut her with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Sophie.  Her outfit was stamped and paper pieced from the set Live Love Grow.  The kitten is from the set Sweeties Pets.  The sentiment at the top of my card is from the set Hello Friend.  And, the sentiment at the bottom of the card is from the set Happy Everything.  The house was die cut twice.  Gold stickles was applied.  The house die cut is from the set Somewhere over the Rainbow.

Thanks so much for visiting here today!  Hope you have a wonderful St. Patrick's Day!  Enjoy and stay safe!
