Celebrating You!

Hi, Friends!

Oh, where are the blooms?  They aren't here in NW Ohio yet.  In fact, it's a rainy cold day here.  But, showers bring lovely flowers.  And, I'm guessing in a couple of weeks...soon!  So, what do to on a Friday?  Well, I finished cleaning the house and now it's time to make a card with lovely blooms!  I'm entering the card below over at City Crafter.

My sister, Donna, has a birthday on Easter this year and she loves the colors of pink and purple, so this birthday card will be for her.  I hope she likes it!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  I used a stencil and lightly added distress inks for the background.  The big blooms were colored with colored pencils.  I adhered the flowers and popped up the bottom two for dimension.  I gave them yellow gems for the centers.  The sentiments were embossed and popped up for dimension, also.  The blooms took awhile to color, but well worth the effort!

Thanks so much for viewing my card here today.  Take care and have an awesome weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

  3. Of course she will like it! Te flowers are beautifully coloured and I do like the stencilling. We are lucky here in SE England - we are blooming with daffodils, crocuses and blossom - but you can't rule out a sudden change into snow at any time! Thanks for joining in at City Crafter.
