Happy 90th Birthday!

Hi there!

Just a quick card to share with you.  I made this card to celebrate my co-worker's Mother's birthday.  Her mother, Betty, turned 90!  And, you would never know it!  She is one classy beautiful lady!  This card is almost similar to my previous card.  I stamped the background with tiny flowers and added pearls.  I wanted the number ninety in gold, but only had the brown color  ninety in my stash.  But, I think this color stands out more.  Ok, it's lunch time here, so time to go for now.  Thanks for visiting today...take care, hugs!!:-))

Happy Birthday!

Brads, buttons, or bows!

Happy Weekend!

Hope you are doing well today!  I needed to make a birthday card for a friend, so I got out my supplies and started creating.  This card is entered for Wee Memories challenge.  We are to use brads, buttons, or bows.  I wanted to use fall colors.  I found a Graphic 45 tag with a gorgeous rose and placed it for the focal point.  I distressed some musical paper with tea dye ink.  Added pearls, ribbon, lace, and button to finish the birthday card.  Thanks for visiting here today, take care!!:-))

Oh, Deer!

Hi Again!

I started on Christmas cards.  I don't make all of my Christmas cards, but I do like to make about twenty to thirty as time allows.  I get bored easily with only one version.  So, as you see by the photo, I have three different cards.  I'm still not sure which one I prefer.  My husband likes the far right one.  What do you think?!

Ok, time to scoot here.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  You all have a lovely weekend...take care, hugs!!:-))

Happy Thanksgiving

Beautiful flowery pumpkins!

Hi there!

It's been a very busy week with work, but I made time to play for the The Shabby Tea Room!  The challenge called for one embossed item and inspiration from the lovely photo.  My recently purchased Thanksgiving stamp came in handy for this card.  I used a mix of papers and distressed with spiced marmalade ink and tea dye.  I did a little coloring with my copic markers.  The SU(lattice) emboss folder was used for the middle panel.  Some gems, flowers, and ribbon to finish off the card.

Am so glad that the rain and wind has stopped.  The weather is lovely, in the 50's.  A pretty fall day.  Gorgeous color on the leaves this time of year.  Wherever you are, I hope you have a great fall day, take care, hugs!!:-))  Thanks so much for visiting here today!

Flowers!

Time again for a colorful challenge at The Shabby Tea Room!  Gorgeous deep rich fall colors were chosen this week.  The added challenge was to have handmade flowers.  I incorporated lots of flowers.  In fact, the card was top heavy!!:-):-) I masked the border punch with tea dye ink on two of the papers for interest.  I used a cardboard circle for the base of the rolled flowers and inked the sides with burgundy ink.  I don't know how many mini flowers I rolled, but I sure got my practice rolling them!:-)  And, it was fun!  I love the effect of those tiny little rolled roses.  I added lace, pearls, button, and gold thread to finish the card!  Without further delay, here is my card....
Love the deep rich color!

Boo!

The colors we were to use for this wicked challenge over at
PDCC were slime green, frightful fuschia, putrid purple,
and black as night!!!

Hi there friends!

Oh, indeed what a wicked challenge this one was for me!  I fought with this card for far too long!  But, I believe I achieved the desired results. :-)  The main problem for this card was the sky.  I first had it white with pink clouds.  I then distressed it with pink and purple.  Finally, I found some vellum in my stash and placed that over white paper to achieve a soft looking evening sky.  I cut out the tree free form and embossed with clear embossing powder.  The fence was embossed also.  I used the heat gun longer than usual to get some texture.  The skulls, bats, and sentiment were highlighted with glossy accents.  I added twine, button, and gems to finished the card.  I have so much fun making Halloween cards, and I plan to make more!  Hope you've been having fun in your craft room!  Thanks for visiting today, take care, hugs!!:-))

Hope

So many pretty colors for inspiration!

Happy Saturday!

I'm back again for one of my favorite challenges at The Shabby Tea Room.  The challenge called for the colors, blue, green, orange, cream, and brown.  And, we were to incorporate chevrons.  An interesting challenge with so many pretty colors!  I will be giving this card to one of my co-workers who is a cancer survivor.  I'm sure all of us know of one person who has been affected by the terrible disease.  My hope and prayer is that we find a cure to this dreadful disease some day!

I had a fun morning crafting at a stamp party with my co-worker.  Another co-worker, who is new to crafting,  joined us also today.  It's always good to have more join the party while crafting to share our thoughts and ideas.  Now I'm in the mood to make more cards!:-))

My card went together fairly easy.  I distressed and inked the edges.  I folded the butterfly in the center for dimension.  I used pumpkin pie ink over the butterfly and paper.  Added lace, seam binding, gems, pearl cotton, and sewing to finish the card.  Off now to see your creations!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!!:-))
