Oh spring...where are you??!!:-) Anyways, I made a card for PDCC. I always admire Ruby's cute creative cards, and could not resist this challenge. Coloring the butterflies brightened my mood instantly thinking of spring. Also, the stamp from Verve got me to thinking. Happy Valentine's Day!

Hope you all are having a great Valentine's Day! We celebrated by going out to dinner last evening. And tonight I made one of my husband's favorites, stuffed peppers...mmmmMMMmmm. We exchanged cards, and he gave me flowers, so sweet! OK...anyways, about the card for CR84FN15. This was my third attempt at a card because I ditched the other two...hehehe. I tried to go shabby chic and it just wasn't working for me. So, I settled for simple. Stella is guest designer this month. She's a sweet creative lady, so go on over and enter the challenge. Hi Again!

Thought I'd post one more today because the sweet dear Stella is guest designer this month at CR84FN! Please vist her blog. She is very creative and a wonderful person! The colors for this challenge are light pink, bright pink, and chocolate. MMmmMmmm did I see chocolate...oh yeah! I just loved working with these yummy colors! Cutting out those little birds were challenging, but wanted to pop them on some dimensionals for more added effect. I knew the perfect paper to use was the SEI paper I've had, which I've used several times for cards. I'm also entering this card for the Stampin' B's challenge #97 because the theme this week is birds. Anyways, thank you for looking and adding any comments. I appreciate it! Take care!

WMSC#33

Hi there!

Hope you all are doing well on this fine Wednesday evening! I entered a card for Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge. I was thinking spring colors. A little blue, green, and yellow. Am looking forward to spring, aren't you? I can't wait to see the first robin and hear the birds sing! So, as you see I went with a bird image and some musical paper. I stamped the bird image on canvas and gave it some more dimension with some lovely soft felt I recently purchased from PTI. I tried to soften the card up with yarn, pearls, sewing, and distressed the edges.

Frigid temps here tonight. I think settling down with a warm cup of cocoa is on the menu here. Thank you for taking a peek and adding any comments! Take care and keep warm!

The Shabby Tea Room-Week #47-"Get Creative"

Happy Sunday!

As the weekend comes to a close, I had fun staying at home yesterday and making another card. We got more snow again with a level 2 for the county. So, going out shopping for more craft supplies for me was a "no-no". But, there is always time for that, right? :-) This card is for http://www.theshabbytearoom.blogspot.com/ The challenge is asking for one to "get creative" with no patterned paper allowed and your own handmade embellishments.  I kept the card simple.  The background was stamped with one of my favorite Inkadinkadoo stamps.  I used my blender pen to fill in the butterflies with SU inks.  The flower was made with coffee filters and sponged on Ranger Inks.  I couldn't help but add a few blings around the flower and on the butterflies.  This was a fun challenge for me to think outside the box.  And I enjoyed looking at all the entries...so many lovelies!  Thank you, Shabby Tea Room!

Supplies:
Paper:  Kraft
Stamps:  Inkadinkado(background), PTI(sentiment)
Ink:  SU(Bravo Burgundy), Marina Mist
        Ranger Ink(Fired Brick), (Broken China)
Coffee filter
Punch:  SU(scallop circle)
Button:  My Stash(flea market)
Gems:  Recollections
Floss:  JoAnn Fabric

PDCC#67

Hi Again!

I wasn't sure if I wanted to attempt the challenge over at Play Date Cafe this week because so many colors! But, lots of wonderful inspiration from the designers! I was greatly inspired by Andrea Ewen's card with the fabric frame, and framed some lace on my card. Thank you, Andrea! My card is a simple card with just a tad of pink, but have all the other colors. I was happy to find in my stash the burgundy ribbon. I believe it's off of a Christmas present that I knew I'd use some day. Hope you are having a great day! It's a sunny one here in NW Ohio, so that's a good thing. I appreciate any and all comments! Take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

Am posting a birthday card made for a co-worker. I had a different image in mind, but it so happened that I didn't like how I colored it with copic markers. I definitely need more practice with the copics! Anyways, I went with the Serendipity bird cage stamp, which fit for the area.

Also, I posted a couple pictures of SNOW. Yep, all that "white stuff" that we are getting tired of seeing. It was a level 3 emergency for several counties. The county I work in had issued a level 3, so no work for me! Poor hubby had to stay over at work all night and barely could get into the driveway with his truck. He then had the fun job of plowing out all that "white stuff". Our German Shepherd had fun and watched the snow fly. At least someone loves all this SNOW...hehehe! You all take care and keep warm! Thanks for looking! I appreciate any and all comments!

Supplies:
Paper: Paper Pizazz, Bazzill
Stamps: PTI(sentiment), Serendipity(bird cage)
Gems: Darice, Recollections
