Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm back again with the beautiful stamp set from Altenew.  If you saw my previous post, I used the same stamp set on craft and colored the flowers with pencils on kraft.  I needed a birthday card for my sis-in-law and decided to color the pretty flowers with my copics.  The colors I used are B41, B21, and B14.  The sentiment is from PTI.

Well, back to my Valentine cards.  I still have a few more of those to do along with my DT assignments.  A crafter's work is never done...lol!  But, it's so enjoyable...right?!:-)

Ok, friends, take good care and have a wonderful day!  Thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs,
Maria

Sending hugs & happy thoughts!

Hi, Friends!

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday afternoon!  I was another warm day here in NW Ohio.  It feels more like spring rather than winter.  The fog is rolling in, so I'm glad I'm home safe and sound in my house.  I just finished up a card that I started a couple days ago using one of my new stamps I received for Christmas.  An Altenew stamp set...Beautiful Day!  I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a kraft card base and embossed the flowers.  I colored the flowers using my SU colored pencils.  I used a white pencil for the base and colored with pink and purple.  I went over the flower with white to soften and blend the colors.  White dots were added to the center of the flowers and a white acrylic paint wash splattered for the final touch.  I love to color and really enjoyed this technique!

Well, my husband is watching the Packers v. Falcons football game, so I'll take a break and watch some with him.  We are rooting for the Packers today.  But, as always, may the best team win!  Thank you so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a blessed week!

Hugs,
Maria

Dies R Us Challenge-January 15, 2017(Winter Blues)

Hi, there!

It's time for another  Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Winter Blues)!  We haven't had much snow yet, so I really don't have the winter blues where I start to have cabin fever.  I get the blues when I'm not able to get out.  I'm a little claustrophic that way, I guess. But, otherwise I'm just used to the NW Ohio weather where one day it's gloomy and the next day it's sunny.  One has to take what you get from Mother Nature.  Anyways, enough about weather and on to my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with red Bazzill paper.  The stamped sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.  I do love seeing the deer around here.  And, in fact, last night while we were coming home we saw one deer in the field.  I love seeing the cardinals, too.  The little red birds remind me of them.  The bird dies are from Memory Box.  The snow was made using Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud Borders.  The deer trio are from IO, and the Tree is from Memory Box.  All the dies that I used on this card that are available in the store are listed below...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Paper Sweeties January 2017-Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has done it once again!  She created a darling little house image along with sun, cloud, rainbow, hearts, and sweet sentiments! The stamp set with coordinating dies will be available for purchase tomorrow!

Today, I am highlighting the house.  It was bitter cold last week and all I wanted to do was stay in a warm house!  We haven't had much snow this year, but it's fun creating it on a card!:-)

The sentiment, home, and hearts are from the set Somewhere over the Rainbow.  The little snowman is from the  Planner Series: Happy Holidays.  The coordinating dies are Sweet Cuts: Somewhere over the Rainbow. The snow was made using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders  and Liquid Pearls(white opal). Twine(Strawberry) to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-January 2017!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-January!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of January! The last planner set for the holidays was released in November, which is Planner Series: Happy Holidays.  There is no new planner set for the month of January.

I didn't plan for my planner pages to be monochromatic, but it happened to turn out that way.  I was going to color Pat's bday balloons pink or red, but the different shades of blue are so pretty.  As you can see on the right page of my planner, I have the fun little snowman.  The snowman and snowflakes are from the set Holly Days. I just love those beautiful snowflakes! They were die cut with coordinating die  Sweet Cuts-Holly Days.

The other planner series sets that I used for my planner are Planner Series-Get Your Craft OnPlanner Series: Fall Sentiments, and Planner Series: Celebrate.

A closer peek at the pages...

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Happy Monday to you!  I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for my great nephew, Grayson, who is turning "6" on Friday.  He lives in Tennessee.  I do miss the little tyke and his sis, Sophia!  I hope he gets this card in time and has a great birthday!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with fun paper from BoBunny.  The dies and alligator stamp are from Reverse Confetti!  I tell ya...I am falling in love with all their stamps and dies.  And, such awesome inspiration from the DT!

Well, that's all for now.  I need to continue on cleaning my craft room.  One of my resolutions for the new year.  Out with the old and in with the new!:-)  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Maria

Thank You!

Hi, there!

Just popping in to share with you a thank you card I made for my husband's boss.  He gave us a box filled with wonderful spices.  And, it came with a recipe booklet.  I'm going to have fun making some new dishes for dinner!  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Challenge where the theme is (New).

For my card, I wanted it to be masculine.  I started with a white card base and paired it with paper from Close to My Heart.  The text circle with sentiment is from PTI.  The die cut I used, which is new, is from Reverse Confetti.  I just had to have this die when I saw it because you can pop it open and reveal another stamped image or sentiment!   Here is what I stamped inside...

Two smiling happy faces!  And, I can't let the inside go without a sentiment...

My husband said his boss, Dave, loved the card.  So, mission accomplished!  Well, that's all I have for now.  I hope you have a wonderful day!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

This is my second post for today, so please scroll down to see my card made for Dies R Us Challenge!  And, here is my fun shaker card for Paper Sweeties...

For my card, I was inspired by the adorable snowmen and the trees!  Those snowmen are just too cute with the pretty little buttons!  I started with a white card base.  A water colored background with Tim Holtz distress inks of Broken China and Tumbled Glass.  I used the Holly Days stamp set and coordinating dies Sweet Cuts-Holly Days.  The trees were water colored and die cut using Sweet Cuts-Trim the Tree.  The snow was made using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  Liquid Pearls(white opal) was applied for dimension on their hats and the snow drifts.  For the sequin mix, I used  (Winter Mix). Buttons were attached to the scarves and tied with white pearl cotton to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge-Anything Goes using Dies!

Hi, friends!

Happy New Year!  I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!

Ringing in the New Year and with the new year brings some changes for Dies R Us.  We no longer have Team A and Team B since we are combining teams.  More inspiration to see all at once!  And, we will have another challenge as always on the 15th of the month!  So, it's time once again for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes using Dies!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with some glittery paper.  There is no stamping...all dies!  A very easy card with just the dies.  The Happy New Year die takes center stage and gems added for interest.  Ribbon was tied at the top for more shimmer and shine. All the dies that I used on this card are listed below...
