Birthday Wishes!

Hi, Friends!

I'm popping in quick to share with you a birthday card made for my friend, Barb!  I couldn't resist this MFT Color Challenge with the lovely colors.  I'm just getting in under the wire...whew!

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a coral card base.  Next, I colored the MFT horizontal cover-up die with copics.  The shaker mix are sequins from Paper Sweeties(Cookie Dough) and clear sequins from  Lilac Lane.  The birthday sentiment and candles are from MFT, also.  Twine to finish the card.

Another view of my card...

It seems as if I haven't posted a card in ages, but it's just been a little over a week.  My husband is on vacation this week.  We are  trying to get caught up on things around the house with cleaning the garage and cleaning my craft room.  It seems as though it's a never ending process.  How do I keep accumulating so many craft items...ha?!  Anyways, a fun lunch with a friend tomorrow and dinner with friends on Thursday, so some happy things to look forward to.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today...take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties July 2018-Blast From The Past Inspiration!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Day 3 of the Blast From the Past Inspiration!  Today I am sharing a project made with the treat box add on:  Home & Garden!  So many sweet images are included in this set!  Today I'm sharing with you a water colored thank you card with an outdoor scene.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with  a cream card base and paired it with a water colored panel using distress inks.  The images were water colored using zig markers.  I used the Treat Box Add-on: Home & Garden for the trees, birds, flower pots, bird house and brick wall.

The thank you sentiment is from the set Sweet Cuts-Treat Box.  The clouds are from the set Let's go to the Beach and the sun is from the set Island Time using coordinating dies.  A yarn bow and sequins Creamsicle to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties July 2018-Blast From The Past Inspiration!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Day 2 of the Blast From the Past Inspiration!  Today, I am sharing a vintage card using products that were released in May with the set Sweet Cuts-Treat Box(large heart and arrow) and Hay Y'all(sentiment).  Previously released sets were used on my card, also.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with  an aqua card base and paired it with Crate Paper.  I used the Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders for the heart borders.  The circle scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  The medium sized stamped heart is from the set Be Happy.  It was die cut along with the banner from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  Ribbon(Bubblegum) and sequins(Marshmallow) along with twine to finish the card.
I had a lot of fun making this vintage card!  I had to dust off my sewing machine, but it felt good revisiting some favorite stamp sets and the vintage style!

Let's Shell-ebrate!

Hi, there!

It's been a little while since posting here on the blog.  I had a busy week last week with fun celebrations.  We met up with our son and had lunch with him on the 4th.  Two days later we went to my sister's cottage to celebrate two birthdays for my sisters.  There was no beach to speak of since the water level is very high.  A NE wind didn't help things either.  But, we didn't need the beach to have fun.  It was very relaxing and a great time.  So much fun that we forgot to take a photo of all us sisters.  Oh, well...next time!  Just a couple photos from the day...

My sis, Cecilia

My sis, Christina

Brother-in-law, Ron
Husband, Randy

Ok, well, I do have a card to share with you that I made a while back.  I believe it fits the current color challenge over at MFT.  And, I'm getting it in just under the wire.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a distress inked background for the sky.  I just love turtles.  When we were young, we had a couple turtles.  My Mom was a farm gal and let us have about any animal when we were young except for a pony.  What little girl doesn't want a pony?  It was ok with me, but my little sis, Christina, wanted one so bad...lol!  Anyways, I love creating scenes and the turtle with the little bird is just so darn cute.  And, I think the sentiment is too fun!  All stamps and dies are from MFT.

Another view of my card...

Ok, well that's all for now until the weekend.  Take good care and thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-July 2018!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-July!

Hi, Friends!

Happy July 1st!  It's the month of fireworks, picnics, vacations, etc.!  I hope you have a wonderful summer month of July!

I went with a patriotic theme for my planner.  Jake is dressed in his fine uniform ready to celebrate 4th of July!  I have two posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card, too!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

Jake is in his fine uniform, which is from the set You're my Hero.  The flag, stars, and fireworks are from the set I Love Summer.  My planner pages were originally light green, but that wouldn't do for the red, white, and blue.  So, I used Doodlebug papers for the Saturdays and Sundays.  The July, 2018, Notes, and numbers were computer generated.  It was more work than I planned to do, but I was satisfied with the end results.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for July!
I hope you
check out our planner stamps and have fun decorating your
planner, too!

Hop along and have fun!  I hope you are inspired by the team...enjoy!
