Paper Sweeties September Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi there!

And, welcome to September Sneak Peeks!  Today, I'm so excited to highlight one of the new die sets this month, which is Sweet Cuts-Homegrown along with the coordinating stamp set Homegrown!  I used all four of the fruits in the stamp set on the above card.  The *new* dies and stamps will be available on 9-15-15 for you to purchase!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with red and tan.  The sentiment is from the same set and the twine(strawberry) is from Paper Sweeties, also.

I love all kinds of fruit and in June we picked up some strawberries at a local farmer's market...yum!  I found a good recipe and made a strawberry pie.  And, so, I'd like to share the recipe with you...

Strawberry Pie(allrecipes.com)

Submitted By:  OKBEE
Ingredients:
1 (9 inch) pie crust, baked              3 Tablespoons cornstarch
1 quart fresh strawberries             ¾ c. water
1 c. white sugar                                ½ c. heavy whipping cream
Directions:
    1.    Arrange half of strawberries in baked pastry shell. Mash

remaining berries and combine with sugar in a medium saucepan.
Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring fre-
            quently.
     2.     In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water.  Gradually
stir cornstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture.  Reduce
heat and simmer mixture until thickened, about 10 minutes,
stirring constantly.  Pour mixture over berries in pastry shell.  Chill
for several hours before serving.  In a small bowl, whip cream until
soft peaks form.  Serve each slice of pie with a dollop of whipped
           cream.  Happy Baking!:-)

Hello, Friend!

Hi, Friends!

TGIF!  Hope all is well your way and that you have an awesome weekend!  I just thought I'd share with you some cards.  The above card is a card I received from my friend, Greta recently!  She makes the most beautiful cards with lots of texture and gorgeous color...so pretty!  Thank you again, Greta!

The next card is a card that I'm sending out to my great niece, Sophia.  Her birthday is next week and she is on the soccer team.  She has been playing soccer for quite awhile now.  She is quite the soccer girl!  And, here is her card...

The soccer stamp used on the card is from SU.  The sentiment stamp is from Paper Sweeties.  I colored the background with copics to look like grass.  I hope she gets a "kick" outta this card!:-)

I sent this card to Debbie the owner of Paper Sweeties for her birthday last month.  She certainly makes life sweet with all her wonderful products!  I LOVE them all because they are so sweet and uplifting!

I used Abigail and coordinating die to cut her out Sweet Cuts-Abigail.  Her outfit and balloon are from the stamp set Wishing You.  The leaves are from the set Bee Happy and die cut with coordinating dies Sweet Cuts-Bee Happy.  The fence and flowers were made using the die cuts Sweet Cuts-Home Tweet Home.  The banner is from Sweet Cuts-Be Happy.  Twine is (cookie dough).  And, the sentiment is from the set Cupcakes & Sprinkles.

Ok, well that's all for now, friends!  I hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for visiting here today!  Take care!

And, without further delay here is my card...

Well, that's all for now.  Hope you have a wonderful day!  Take care!

Feel Better Soon!

Hi, Friends!

Happy weekend to you!  I hope you have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!  We will be getting together with in-laws tomorrow to celebrate my mother-in-law's 80th birthday party!

But, today, I'd like to share with you a card I made for my niece who recently had an emergency appendectomy.  Thank goodness all went well, and she's back home recuperating.    She is studying to be a nurse at Miami University, so I got out my Paper Sweeties stamp to dress Abigail in her nurse uniform.  I wish I lived closer to be Chelsea's nurse, but I live three hours from her.  And, her sister, Ashlee, is there with her doing a very fine job I'm sure!

Here is a photo of Chelsea with powerlifting teammates at the training center.  She participates in powerlifting meets and has won medals!  She won't be down for long.  So proud of her!  And here is the photo...

Well, that's all I have for now.  All supplies are listed below.  Thanks so much for visiting here today!  It's appreciated!  Take care!
