Life's a PICNIC with you!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for my hubby for our anniversary.  I used lots of Lawn Fawn goodies on this card!  I had a couple of the sets, but did purchase the new Crazy Antics stamps and dies because they are just too darn cute!  Our anniversary is later this month, which is the day after Father's Day.  Stay tuned for I have more of the adorable mice that I used for his Father's Day card!

For the card, I started with the Outside in Stitched Scalloped Rectangle Die in blue for the sky.  Simple Grassy Hillsides die for the grass.  The tree and bird are from the set Heart Tree.  The flowers are from the set Garden Mouse.  The sun and clouds are from the set All the Clouds.  All images were colored with copics.  I'm entering this card over at the Lawn Fawn Challenge.  I hope this card qualifies for the challenge since my hubby is my best friend!

Sweet as can bee!

Hi there!

Popping in today to share with you a card that I made for a friend who has a milestone birthday next month!  She loves bees, so I colored the sweet bees from Pretty Pink Posh and placed them against the beehive stencil background from Tim Holtz.  The numbers are from Taylored Expressions.    Polka strips of paper added to the sides to finish the card.

I'd like to share with you a few photos of my sister's bday party on Tuesday.  She had a milestone birthday last month.  We finally got together due to my one sis having knee surgery and I had my surgery.  She turned 80 last month, so we had to have a special celebration for her.  We had a great time at my sister's cottage with great food and fun!

me, Cecilia, Donna(bday girl), Lucretia, Christina

The sign behind us says...80 is only
27 in Celsisus!

This was my sister's bday card for she loves
to garden.  I had already posted this card on
4-22-26.

Ok, friends that's all for now!  I hope you have a great rest of the week.  Thanks so much for dropping by today, take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card that I made for my niece's birthday!  I didn't put a birthday sentiment on the front for I didn't want to cover up the image.  I started with coloring the new lilac image from Hero Arts with copics.  I used Nuvo drops in yellow for the center of the flowers.  I haven't used Nuvo drops in ages!  The background panels were die cut using dies from Emily Moore.  A bow and gems to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at NBUS Challenge  and Four Seasons Challenge.

It turned cold again today.  Yesterday it was in the 80's.  It's now only 58 degrees.  Hubby took me to a favorite place after my PT session today.  It was great to get out and enjoy delicious food!

My yellow iris flowers are in full bloom and look very pretty!  Hubby planted geraniums for me in our big pots around the house.  The dark red color looks beautiful!  It's great to see all the lovely color around the yard again!  We've been seeing a hummingbird come to the feeder and it's been so fun watching it!

EDIT:

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a great rest of the week, take care!

Thank you!

Hi, Friends!

It's been almost three weeks since I've been here on  my blog.  I had surgery on 4-28 and am coming along well.  I got the staples out today and it feels much better!  Thank you for your prayers, support, and cards!  It's appreciated!

Above is a card that I made before my surgery.  It is a thank you card that I gave to my physical therapy guy who came to the house for two weeks.  The sentiments are from Sunny Studio and the stars are from Creative Worship(formerly Sweet 'n Sassy).  Twine and gems to finish the card.

Next up,  a card that I sent to a friend...

I made the above card several week ago.  The images and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn.  Those cute butterflies make me smile!  The clouds and sun are from Spellbinder's.  Gems to finish this card.

Beautiful days are coming for this weekend.  The temps will be in the 80's.  I'm ready for some warmer weather.  I hope to sit out on the deck and enjoy some sunshine!

Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care and have a good rest of the week!

You Grow Girl!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for my sister for her birthday.  She loves to garden and grow flowers!  She takes after my Mom with having a green thumb!  All images, sentiments, frame, and grass die are from Lawn Fawn.  The clouds are from Spellbinder's.  Gold dots and some gold spray to finish the card.  I was inspired by Elena Roussakis when I saw her card using the cute images.  I knew the card would be perfect for my sis, so I couldn't resist purchasing the stamp set.

Here is the card by Elena Roussakis...

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I made a simple shaker birthday card for a nephew.  I used the fun birthday wishes die from Pretty Pink Posh and filled it with gems from Pink Fresh.  The background was die cut using a die from The Greetery.  Iridescent White Cord from Simon Says to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at

I didn't think I'd say this so soon in April, but it is too hot, lol!  It reached 83 here yesterday.  It is warm and humid.  We may have some storms late this evening.  It feels tropical.  For the weekend, it will drop back down to the 50's.  Signs of spring are everywhere and I love seeing that the weeping cherry tree has bloomed.  I can view it out my craft room window, so pretty!

Ok, my friends, that's all for now.  I hope you have a great rest of the week!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by today!

Happy Birthday!

Hi Friends!

I hope you all had a wonderful blessed Easter yesterday!  We had a delicious potluck breakfast at church in the morning and then went out with family to one of our favorite restaurants.  It was a cold day in the 40's, but at least it wasn't raining.  Many signs of spring showing around here with lovely daffodils, green grass and trees starting to sprout their leaves.

Anyways, I'd like to share with you the above card I made for a friend.  I love those pretty potted daffodil images from Pretty Pink Posh.  The scalloped background die is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiments are from Honey Bee.  I made the wood shelf with a strip of paper and colored it with copics.  Gold dots from SU to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at The Four Seasons Challenge.

Thank you so much for dropping by today!  Now off to your blogs to see what beautiful projects you have created!  Take care!

Happy Easter!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you today a few Easter cards and treat bags!  The above card was made using a stencil from Gina K for the sun and rays.  I used my glitter paste for the sun and rays.  The images from Sunny Studio were colored with copics.  Those little Easter critters are so cute!  Distress ink was used for the grass.  Twine with a bow to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at Triple B Challenge.

Next up...

Another Easter card made with a cross colored with copics.  The cross image was given to me by a friend.  The sentiment from SU was gold embossed.  I used gold ink spray for interest.  The background panel was made using a die from Emily Moore.  Gems added to finish the card.

Treat bags...

I met up with a few friends on Tuesday for lunch and gave them these treat bags.  The little chocolate bunnies are from Memory Box.  The stamped eggs and sentiment is from Verve(retired).  The grass die is from MFT.  I had a wonderful lunch with my crafty friends!

We had a wonderful spring day here yesterday with the temps in the 70's.  Hubby took me to lunch before we went to the grocery store.  We had some storms with hail in the evening, but thankfully no damage.  The up and down weather continues.  Yesterday temps in the 70's and now today it's in the 30's.  I'll be glad when Mother Nature makes up her mind, lol!

Ok, my friends, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Happy Easter!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you an Easter card that I made using the new postage Easter stamps from Waffle Flower.  It was so easy to make this card!  I used distress ink for the background and stamped the images in black.  I then added Wink of Stella on the images for interest.  The orange background of the base was made using paper from Sunny Studios.  A few gems to finish the card.

Next up...

My chocolate crocheted bunny that I made using the wheat stitch pattern from Briana K.  I watched her You tube video for the head and ears.  But, I do suggest to buy the pattern for the body.  I thought I could do it without the pattern, but nope, lol!  I made the body bigger and rounder and one ear isn't perfect, but for my first bunny I am happy with the result.

Here is a view of her back end with her bunny tail...

I have one more crochet project to share with you...

I used the shell stitch with this afghan.  It's difficult to tell by the photo, but the color is light blue.  This baby afghan will be sent to a nephew.  He and his wife will welcome a new baby boy in May!

Ok, my friends that's all for today.  This ole gal is excited to get her new glasses today.  I've really noticed that it's difficult to see near and far, so a new pair of glasses will be great!

Take care and thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!

Hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

My husband had a milestone birthday last week.  I made the above card using an image from MFT.  The banner is from MFT, also.  I struggled a bit with this card.  I added gems because I felt it needed something.  The design is a bit off to me, but my hubby liked it and appreciated it.

We celebrated his birthday by going to Amish Country in Berlin, Ohio.  Our son met up with us on Saturday and we had fun shopping and going to dinner.  Last Thursday, we celebrated with a friend, Angie.  Her birthday is only two days after my husband's birthday.  I made a carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, so yummy!  We had fun visiting and playing cards with Ted and Angie!

Here are some photos during our stay in Berlin...

We had a nice relaxing weekend away in Amish Country(Berlin, Ohio).  A beautiful peaceful town with delicious food, crafts, and lovely scenery!

And, I'd be remiss if I didn't wish you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day!  I made cabbage and noodles for my Irish hubby.  We will enjoy red raspberry pie for dessert that we picked up at an Amish bakery.  It is my hubby's favorite!

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  I'll be back soon to show you my chocolate crocheted Easter bunny and baby afghan.  I completed the bunny.  I'm still working on on the afghan.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  Take care and have a great week!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you two more St. Patrick's Day cards.  For the above card, I personalized it with an image similar to my sister's dog(the best image I could find), Lola.  You may have to look closely, but I put Lola's name on the collar.  My sister's dog is super sweet, a Wheaton Terrier.  The gold rainbow die was made using a die from Spellbinder's.  The image from Pretty Pink Posh was colored with copics.  The shamrocks were made using a die from Pretty Pink Posh.  The sun was made using a die from Spellbinder's and a punch.  The grass die is from MFT.

Next up...

A very simple card using a panel from Doodlebug.  The background was made using a die from Emily Moore Designs.  Gold gems to finish the card.  I think I'm done making St. Patrick's Day cards.  I always enjoy making them.  I love the bright green and orange colors.  And, the cute images!

Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care, hugs!!
