Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!  I hope you are doing well on this fine fall day!  It's perfect weather here in NW Ohio!

Have you done any fall decorating yet?  Fall is one of my favorite seasons of the year.  I have lots of fall decorations up in the attic above our garage.  Silly hubby hurt his back the first week of retirement.  He is doing better and finally has a doctor appt. next week.  He wanted to cancel, but I insisted that he needs to get it checked.  He did have herniated disc surgery in 2002 many years ago.  So, just for peace of mind, I thought it would be a good thing to see what the doctor had to say.

Anyways, my fall decorating has taken a back seat because I didn't want hubby to climb the stairs to the attic and hurt his back again, but I did find a few things to decorate with and I bought a few things, too.  Also, I brought out a pumpkin cinnamon candle that I light at times.  It smells so good!  Yes, fall is here!

We ran some errands and now it's time to finish up some more birthday cards for October.  The above cards were made for my SIL and niece.  Two slightly different designs and color on the images.  The images were colored with copics.  The image is from Pretty Pink Posh.  The scalloped circle is from Paper Sweeties and the sentiment is from SU.  A gold thread bow to finish the card.  Ok, off to finish more October birthday cards!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties September 2020-Release Party!

Today I'm sharing my card for the September Release Party!  I made a Christmas card using the new released set Heartfelt Thoughts and a previously released set Meet me under the mistletoe for the inside of the card.  The new set is available for purchase today!  It's never too soon to get started on Christmas cards!

For my card, I started with a red card base and paired it with green paper.  The label, sentiments and flowers are from the new set Heartfelt Thoughts.  I used distressed inks for the background behind the label.  The holly is from a previously released set  Meet Me Under the Mistletoe .  Seam binding ribbon (Green Apple) and twine to finish the card.

The inside sentiment and holly is from the set Meet me Under the Mistletoe.

Dies R Us Challenge-September 15, 2020! (One for the boys-Masculine)

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  And, the theme is (One for the boys-Masculine)!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project.  Come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating!  Since it's my son's birthday today, I decided to make him a card!

The motorcycle is from Tutti Designs and the Zig Zag Stackables are from Lawn Fawn.  I colored the motorcycle with zig markers and copics.  I sprayed it lightly with red Perfect Pearls Mists.  I die cut another motorcycle in silver to put behind the red one.  The stars were made using a punch.  And, the sentiment is from PTI.  I had fun making this birthday card for my son!  I hope he likes it!

The sentiment for the inside of the card is from PTI, also.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Paper Sweeties September 2020-Release Sneak Peeks!

Today I'm sharing my card for the September Release Sneak Peeks!  The new set is Heartfelt Thoughts!  It has many sentiments along with the label for sympathy, thinking of you, or even Christmas projects!  It's a very versatile stamp set, which I'm sure will become one of my favorite go-to sets!  The new stamp set will be available to purchase tomorrow!

I decided to make a fall sympathy card.  It's always good to have a sympathy card on hand.  I started with a white card base and paired it with Sunny Studio Paper.  The leaves are from the set  I'm Nuts About You.  The label was colored with copics.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  Nuvo drops-Dandelion Yellow and Ribbon-creamsicle  to finish the card.

The inside sentiment is from the new set, also... Heartfelt Thoughts.

A sunny hello!

Hi, there!  I hope you are having a wonderful holiday weekend!  We had a couple busy days here with yard work, cooking a meal for a friend who broke her arm, and going to the funeral home.  A dear sweet lady who I used to bowl with passed away recently.  This Covid crisis makes it more sad that we weren't able to visit friends and family in the nursing homes.  Just a couple weeks ago they opened up and allowed to visit, but appointments had to be made and some weren't allowed to visit as in this case.  Anyways, I'm happy for the times I did visit Barb and made her cards.  She was like a mother to me and two other gals on our bowling team.  She will be dearly missed.

On a lighter note, I am sharing a card that I made for my son.  I made a couple more and sent them to a few friends to help brighten their day.  I'm entering this card over at...NBUS Challenge.

For my card, I started with a white card base and die cut the rainbow and clouds from a Catherine Pooler die.  The sun from Paper Sweeties was die cut and colored with copics.  It was fun and easy peasy to make!

Sending out a sunny hello and sunshine to all of you, my friends!!  I hope you are doing well and have a great week!!

Hugs!
