New Baby!

Hi there!

How are you doing on this fine Saturday?  We have
a lovely sunny day here in NW Ohio.  And, how are
you doing on your Easter preparations?  We take
the easy way out on Easter and go to our usual
place for a delicious ham/chicken dinner.
Whatever you have planned for Easter I hope
you have a wonderful blessed one!

I thought I'd share with you this baby card I made
for my niece.  She is due with a baby boy in May.
The baby shower is in a couple of weeks.  His
name will be Alaric.  They asked us to buy
a book with a message instead of signing a card,
but no card...huh??  Well, I just had to make a
card...lol!  I will be buying a book and write
a message in it, too!:-)

I started with a light blue card base.  The baby
text is acetate placed over the tag.  Sweet little
beads for his name was strung on pearl cotton.
Little flowers were stamped and punched.
Ribbon and gems to finish the card.

I thank you so much for dropping by!  Take care, hugs!
Happy Easter!!!

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

How are you doing on this Thursday afternoon?
I just want to share with you a card I made for
the challenge over at City Crafter.  It's been
awhile since I entered a challenge there.  I'll tell
ya what.  I fussed and fussed with the above card.
For some reason I just couldn't get it quite to my
satisfaction.  I love the washi tape that I used with
the pretty butterflies.  My shabby style with layering
I think didn't do it enough justice.  I'll have to
make another card with the lovely washi tape to
highlight it more.

Anyways, the challenge called for the use of a tag
and washi tape.  I adhered two strips of washi tape
along the left border to center.  And, I have a strip
of washi tape down the center of the tag.  The stamp
set I used is Papertrey Ink.  Circles were layered
over a doily.  Tiny flowers were punched and
pearls were placed.  The lovely flower and
matching ribbon is from Close to My Heart.

It's my first time using washi tape.  It is so easy
to use and so many lovely prints available!  I would
love to have the washi tape in the inspiration photo...
so pretty!

Here is another view of the card...

Well, that's all I have for now.  In just a few days I
have some very exciting news to share with you!
Do take care and have a wonderful Easter, hugs!

Friendship Warms The Heart!

Hi Friends!

I would like to share with you a card I made for a
challenge over at The Ribbon ReelWe were to use
the colors pink, aqua and yellow.  Also, a flower and
ribbon are to be added to the card/project.  What a
fabulous inspiration photo to get the creative
juices flowing....

For my card I started with a cream card base and some
papers from SU and Prima.  I used a banner die from
MFT.  The  sentiment stamp is from
Friendship Warms My Heart stamp set from Paper Sweeties!
The bicycle is from Hero Arts and I prettied it up a bit
by coloring the flowers with copics and adding gems.
The sweet little yellow flowers are from Prima.  Ribbon
and twine to finish off the card.

You must go over to the The Ribbon Reel to check out
the design team projects!  I truly was so inspired this
week by admiring their gorgeous creations!

Well, off to finish cleaning the house, etc.  We have

Hippity Hoppity!

Hippity Hoppity!
Here Comes Peter Cottontail!

Hi there!

TGIF!  I'm so happy it's Friday today!  I always have
Friday off from work, so I had a chance to play today
in my craft room!  I was so anxious to ink up some
SWEET Stamps that I recently ordered from
Paper Sweeties!  I'm entering this project over at
their challenge, (Paper Sweeties).  They have the
sweetest stamps!  Do go on over to visit to get
inspired for your Easter cards/projects!  You cer-
tainly won't be disappointed!

Here is the design to follow for this month's
challenge...

I started with  a recycled  gauze box for the base of my
project.  The gals at work help me save boxes, cardboard,
etc. :-)  You never know what might come in handy for
that FUN project!

I covered the gauze box with Echo Park paper.  I used
stamps.  The darling little bunny was colored with SU
colored pencils.  I added pretty clear pink buttons to the
banner.  Several jelly beans were placed in a small bag
and topped with doily and sentiment (Hippity Hoppity).
A couple of chocolate bunnies and bubble gum suckers
were added to finish off the little Easter basket!  Thanks
so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a
wonderful weekend, hugs!

Luck of the Irish!

Hi there!

Just thought I'd share a St. Pat's card with you that
I made recently for a challenge over at Crafter's Cafe.
I wanted to do some sewing on this card, but decided
not to because of the glitter.  I love the delicate detail
of the shamrock stamp from Inkadinkadoo.  Lots of
layering, lace, ribbon and buttons for this card to
celebrate "going green" day!:-)

One of my co-workers decided to have a little contest
to name the leprachaun hanging on her door.  Some of
the names were quite comical.  Anyways, the one with
the most votes won a couple of lottery tickets.  Our
Xray tech won.  I'm not sure if he got lucky with winning
on the lottery tickets or not.  I'll have to ask tomorrow.:-)

Ok, that's it for now.  I do have some very exciting
news to share in a couple of weeks.  So, please do
check back for the details.  Thanks for dropping by
today!  Take care and have a wonderful week, hugs!

Happy Easter!

Hi there Peeps!

How are you today?  Only a few more weeks until
Easter!  Any signs of spring where you are?  It's in the
50's here today.  The birds woke me this morning
singing their beautiful music.  I think they know when
spring is near.:-)

I got together with a friend last weekend and
created some quick Easter cards.  Which one is your
favorite?  I prefer the one in the center, myself.  I love
that color of purple and delicate cross stamp.  The
foam cross was a gift from my friend.  I think it
looks perfect against the stamped cross.

Well, back to the craft room for more creating!
Thank you for dropping by!  Take care and have
a wonderful week, hugs!

Celebrate Your Day!

The gorgeous inspiration photo we were to follow..

Hi Friends!

How is your weekend going?  Did you find some
time to do crafting?  I sure hope so.  It's so re-
laxing and fun to sit down and craft away!:-)

Anyways, I want to share with you a card I made
for The Shabby Tea Room!  I could not resist this
challenge because it is filled with pink loveliness!
Look at that sweet banner, flowers, and goodies!
Wouldn't you want to attend a party with all
those lovelies?

So, I had fun incorporating lots of pink onto my
card.  I made a little banner and attached pretty
pink roses.  I did some fussy cutting with flowers
for more dimension and interest.  I used a new
Spellbinder die I recently purchased.  Pretty pink
lace and pom pom trim from Close to My Heart.
And, the stamp I used is from Paper Sweeties

My Mom loves pink and roses, so I'll be giving
her this birthday card in a few weeks.  Thank
you very much for dropping by here today.  I
hope you have a great weekend!  Take care, hugs!
