Thank you and Valentine's card!

Hi, there!

It's another gloomy day here in NW Ohio...cold and damp...yep...Ohio weather!  But, that's ok since I ran my errands and had my yearly doctor appointment.  I even treated myself to a breakfast at Bob Evans.  Usually I don't like to eat alone, but I was starving and I knew I had errands to run, so I didn't want to pass out, lol!  Now, I'm back home in my craft room with the bright craft lights to bring on my own happy sunshine!

I'd like to share with you a card that I created for a friend who organizes the craft retreat that my friend, Nancy, and I go to in April for the weekend.  I needed to send her payment and also wanted to send her a crafty card.  And, the stamp set that Darnell gifted to me last fall at the craft retreat in Indiana was perfect to use for Judy.

I love this stamp set with the cleaning lady and fun sentiments!  I know that Judy will smile when she receives this card!

I have a Tshirt that says those exact words...eat, sleep, stamp, repeat.  And, that's what Nancy and I will be doing come April.  We are really looking forward to it!  Thanks again, Darnell, for this fun stamp set!!

Next up, is a Valentine card with Lawn Fawn goodies.  I just LOVE those little hearts for a shaker card!  All the dies that I used on the card are from Lawn Fawn.  The DP inside the hearts for the background is from Doodlebug.  I have several more Valentine cards that I've done that I'll show on another post.

Ok, back to my craft table for more Valentine cards!  Please take good care and enjoy the rest of your week!

Hugs those close and dear to you for we never know what the future brings.  My heartfelt sympathies go out to the family and friends of Kobe Bryant.  And, also to all the families that had loved ones that were with Kobe.

Hugs!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there friends!  Are you ready for a sock hop?  I hope my brother-in-law is when he receives this birthday card I made for him, lol!  Oh, the memories for him with classic cars and a few sock hops, too, I'm sure!  I always try to make him a card with a car on it and I add his name on the front of the car.  My brother-in-law still enjoy going to car shows looking at all the cars.  He has restored a few cars over the years and his son, Dean, enjoys the hobby, too.  I remember enjoying a ride in the Model T car Don had many years ago.  I colored all the images with copics.  This fun set is from Sunny Studio. I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday

Here is a peek of the inside of the card...

A few weeks ago, I said that I needed to clean and organize my craft room.  Well, I'm happy to say that I got a lot done.  I still have some things to do, but it's great to have things organized.  I have to admit that I'm a paper hoarder!  How did I get this problem, lol!  Anyways, this craft hobby has brought me lots of joy and I've met the sweetest best people!  And, having said that I thank you so much for all your support and your sweet comments that you always give to me by coming to my blog!  Take good care and enjoy your day!!

Hugs!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties January Release Rewind!  I hope you've enjoyed all the inspiration from the team for the new release so far.  Today, for the rewind we combine previously released sets with the new sets.

Debbie is releasing a new Sweet Kit this month.  The two new sets that go along with the Sweet Kit are called Life Begins after Coffee and We go together! Today, I am highlighting the We go together set.

For my card, I started with a white card base.  The scalloped frames are from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  The images and sentiments are from the new set We go togehter.  Those little smiley faces with the hearts are just too cute!!  And, perfect sentiments to go along with the fun images!  More hearts were added to the card by die cutting the borders from the set Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  The labels are from the sweet borders set, also.  Sequins (Grape) and twine to finish the card.

A view of the inside of the card...

The inside sentiment is from the set Sent from my heart.

Dies R Us Challenge January 15, 2020! (Birthday)

Hi, there!

We have some exciting news to share with you!  Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts!

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!  We hope you take a look to see what awesome products Didi Crafts has for you to purchase...enjoy!!

Once again it's the second challenge of the month for Dies R Us!  And, it's a birthday challenge!  An easy theme, but we just ask that you use at least one metal die to be eligible for the prize.

I decided to combine a couple of birthday dies to make my birthday card.  I think the Sue Wilson birthday frame die fit well with Lawn Fawn sentiment and cute little party chicks!

For my card, I started with a white card base and used the Sue Wilson birthday frame die for the background.  I die cut it a couple more times for layering with pink and yellow.  The birthday chicks and sentiment die are from Lawn Fawn.  I wanted to add some sparkle fun, so I carefully added Nuvo silver glimmer paste to several areas.

All the dies that were used on my card can be found in the shop...

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Paper Sweeties January 2020 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties January Release Sneak Peeks!

Debbie is releasing a new Sweet Kit this month.  The two new sets that go along with the Sweet Kit are called Life Begins after Coffee and We go together! Today, I am highlighting the Life Begins after Coffee set.  It's a set with images and sentiments relating to...yes, you guessed it...coffee!  A perfect set to have on hand for your coffee loving friends!

For my slim card, I started with a red card base.  I made the background using distress inks of mustard seed, spiced marmalade, and candied apple. The fab coffee dp for the top and bottom borders is from Photo Play.  The cute cups with smiley faces, coffee cup, sentiment, and coffee pot is from the new set Life Begins after Coffee.  For the shelves, I cut strips of paper and colored them with copics.  Sweet Cuts-Oval Scalloped FramesMadison was die cut and colored with copics.  Her outfit is from the set Tackle life one cup at a time.

A view of the inside of the card...

The sentiment and the cup are from the new set Life Begins after Coffee, also.

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made for a friend's birthday using a stamp set that was gifted to me by Kara(Bright Hope Creations).  I received this at the craft retreat that I went to in October.  I met several wonderful gals, so fun!  I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday

For my card, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with a die cut panel using a die from Mama Elephant.  The next panel under the typewriter is from MFT.  The typewriter image and sentiment is from Sugar Pea.  The image was colored with copics and twine to finish the card.

A view of the inside of the card...

The inside sentiment is from Sugar Pea, also.  The scalloped frame is from Paper Sweeties.  And, the cake and balloons are from Lawn Fawn.  I have to say that I was quite surprised using products from several different companies.  I need to do that more while crafting...use those supplies!

Anyways, I hope your new year is starting off well.  Things here are status quo.  My husband is back to work and his knee is getting better with each new day.  I have lots of cleaning and organizing to do here, but can't seem to push myself that far yet.  Yes, you guessed it...I'd rather craft, lol!  But, I'm sure I'll get to it.  Ok, that's all for now, friends.  Take good care and thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs!
