Happy Anniversary!

Hi, Friends!

How are you all doing?  I hope you are staying cool.  It will be another hot day here in NW Ohio in the 90's.  I'm looking forward to a pool party at my sister's to celebrate her 60th birthday this Friday.  I do have a birthday card made for her, but it will be posted for next month for a DT assignment.  Anyways, today I'd like to share with you a card I made for a friend who is celebrating their 60th anniversary on 6-30.

I jumped on the hot foil band wagon.  I told myself I wasn't gonna do it, but I saw a good sale on the hot foil system.  I had to experiment a couple of times to get it just right, but I just love the results!  The frame and sentiment is new from Spellbinder's.  The flowers and numbers are from TE.  I added a couple strips of glitter paper to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at  NBUS.

I just want to share with you a photo of my great nephew, Ethan.  We are so proud of him and all his hard work with his ballet training.  He has been accepted into the Royal Ballet Summer Program in London to perform and to train.  How exciting for this young man!

Thank you so much for dropping by today!  Take care and stay cool!

Hugs!

Dies R Us Challenge-June 15, 2022 (Dad/Masculine)!

Hi, Friends!

For the second challenge of the month, the theme continues as Dad/Masculine!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

Today I am sharing an anniversary card that I made for my husband.  I started with a white card base and used a Lawn Fawn die for the frame.  The puffy clouds, boat, anchor, and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn, also.  Our anniversary date is June 22nd and we will be married for 43 years.  Oh, where have the years gone?  I have a silly joke that I always say to him when he is frustrated with me...I say, "Am I driving you crazy?"  He says, "Yes, you are."  " I say, Ok, I must be doing my job well then, lol!"  All kidding aside, he's my sweetheart!!

The links for the dies are listed below...

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Happy Birthday and Nature!

Hi, there!

How's everything in your part of the world?  I've been busy with trying to work ahead on assignments and cards before we leave on vacation.  We plan to visit Yellowstone and Mount Rushmore soon.  We also bought a new camper to get back into camping.  We introduced the camper to our dog, Sheila, last night and she wasn't sure what to think about it.  I do hope that she will like camping.  It would be great to have our little buddy along with us on camping trips.  We weren't sure when the camper would be in and hubby didn't want to take a long trip with the camper out west since we haven't camped in many years.  And, of course, the gas prices are out of this world, right?!  That's another story for another day, lol!  But, we do plan to do a short camping trip near here before vacation.

The above card was made for a friend's birthday.  The die cut panel was sent to me by a friend.  The flower/vase image is from PPP and the sentiment is from PI.

Here is a photo of our camper...

Nature...

The Magee Marsh opened up once again, so we took a relaxing drive after some ice cream to view some wonderful nature.  It was unfortunate that several eagle's nests were damaged due to severe weather last year, but we did see one nest with an eagle in it.

It's difficult to see, but it's head is popping out from the middle of the nest.  Also, another
eagle is sitting on a limb below.

Ok, well that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Have a great weekend!  Take care!

Dies R us Challenge June 1, 2022!(Dad/Masculine)

Hi, Friends!

For the challenge this month the theme is Dad/Masculine!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate at the Dies R Us Challenge!

Today I am sharing a Father's Day card that I made for my husband.  I started with a white card base and added a checkered frame using a die from IO.  The derby, glasses, and mustache are from IO, also.  I die cut the sentiments from red foam using Elizabeth Craft Design dies.  I tried to make him look "cool", so I added sparkly black paper for the lenses.
