Hi, there!

There's only two more days left in the Summer Lovers Coffee Blog Hop!  I wasn't sure that I'd get a card made, but I did...yeah!  Being gone all last week on vacation and getting caught up on yard work, laundry, etc. kept me a busy.  Anyways, lots of prizes to be had for this fun blog hop!  And, I love seeing all the wonderful inspiration!  Without any more delay...here is my card...

What could be more fun than sitting on your deck outside enjoying a cup of coffee and looking at lovely flowers?!  It was a lovely summer day...just perfect!

For my card, I started with a royal blue base and made a shaker card filled with lovely sequins of blueberry, cotton candy, and frosting.  The sun is from the set Island Time.  The flowers are from the set Pretty Posies.  The coffee cup and sentiment is from the set Coffee, yes please.  And, the bird is from the set Home Tweet Home.  I water colored the sun, posies, and coffee cup with my zig markers.  The window die and accessories were die cut using Sweet Cuts-Window and Sweet Cuts-Window Add-on:Elements.

Another prize...how fun!
And, a sale!

Thanks so much for dropping by!  I hope to see
your creation over at the Coffee Blog Hop!
Have fun creating!  Take care!

Thinking of You!

Hi, Friends!

I'm back!  It's been too long since I've posted.  But, it was great to get away and enjoy some "us" time on vacation!  We had a wonderful stay in Savannah, Ga.  It is truly one lovely city with fabulous architecture, beautiful fountains, gorgeous trees and flowers!  Oh, and of course, delicious food!  We parked our car and walked everywhere.  My old bones held up and I welcomed the exercise!

Anyways, I'll share a few pics of our vacation, but first I'll tell you about the above card that I made before vacation.  It is for my friend's husband who is battling cancer.  The lighthouse image is from Inspired by Stamping.  And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I used zig markers to water color the card.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.

We stayed at the Savannah Bed & Breakfast, which has a Victorian style.  It was wonderful to sit on the porch for breakfast or at any time to sip a cold beverage.  We parked the car on the street next to the inn and walked down town every day, which was only about a fifteen minute walk.  I'm just thankful that it wasn't in the 90's for the humidity was very high.  You still with me?  Ok...here are some pics of our trip...

Beautiful architecture

Cathedral of John the Baptist

Forsyth Park

We feel the highlight of our trip was eating
at Paula Dean's restaurant, Lady & Sons.

Randy had the shrimp and grits

I had chicken pot pie

We also had a delicious dinner at Vic's on the river.

I felt like my son taking foodie pics, lol!  But, all
in all we had a wonderful time!

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Hope you
have a great week!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties June 2017 Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today we share with you a project with new stamps/dies combined with previous released stamps/dies.  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a yellow card base.  I water colored the sky and sand with zig markers.  I'm showcasing the new doll, Madison.  She has her friend, Abigail, to the right who was previously released.  They are having a fun day at the beach.  Girls just wanna have sun!

Madison's outfit and sentiment are from the new set Aloha.  Abigail's outfit is from the set At the Beach.  The ball and star fish are from the same set, also.  The sun is from the set Island Time and the waves were die cut using Sweet Cuts-Let's go to the Beach.  Sweet Cuts- Sweet Borders die cut to give interest for the top of the card.  Sequins(Cookie Dough) and twine to finish the card.

Paper Sweeties June 15, 2017 Release Party!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day for you to purchase those awesome new stamps!  I have a card featuring our new doll, Madison!  She is ready to enjoy a fun boat ride!  Please scroll down to view my second post for Dies R Us.  And, here is my card...

For the background, I used distress oxide ink of broken china to make the clouds for the shaker.  The sun is from the set Island Time and the boat is from the set Surf's Up.  The waves were made using Let's go to the Beach.  Sequins used are (Robin Egg) and (Frosting).  The Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames are new.  I just love scalloped frames!  Paper Sweeties carries circle and square scalloped frames, too!  Madison's outfit is from the set At the Beach.  And, the sentiment is from the new set Aloha.  Twine and dots to finish the card.
