Easter...

Hi, Friends

I'm back again with more Easter cards to share.  I've made about twenty cards this year to send to family and friends.  It's a good thing I had these made up ahead of time because I've had bad news lately regarding several of my friends.  And, when you have a heavy heart, some times you don't feel like creating.  Ann and Erica recently had husbands who passed away quite suddenly.  And, my friend, Cheryl, called me Thursday to tell me that she has cancer.  My heart is very heavy at this time.  I know God has a plan and has control of all things, but you and I know it is so difficult at times.  So, friends, if you would please keep these dear sweet ladies in your prayers, I would appreciate it....thank you!

Ok, first up is my card using a technique that is new to me.  I saw it on Rachel's blog here...Rachel Alvarado(The Unpampered Stamper).   She described how to do the "tunneling" effect.  It gives great depth for your project.  Once again, I used the Sunny Studio stamp set(Easter Wishes) for my cards.  I used distress ink for the sky and colored the images with copics.  A ribbon to finish the card.

Next up,  is my card using the negative of a MFT die from the set Blueprints 19.  Distress inks were applied with a brush for the sky and grass.  Copics were used for the images.  And, just for interest a border with distress inks around the edges.

And, for my final card using the same stamp set, I embossed a section of the card and applied gems.  A very simple card, but just something different.  The sentiment is hidden behind the fold.

A view of the inside of the card...

Well, that's all for now until Monday when I reveal my April planner pages for Paper Sweeties.  Please take good care, my friends, and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs!!

Easter...

Hi, Friends!

Last month I showed you a sneak peek of an Easter card as seen below.

And, this view is the full reveal...

I couldn't resist this sweet Easter set from Sunny Studio this year for my Easter cards.  So many darling images!  It was lots of fun coloring them with my copics.  The background was made using distress inks.  The scalloped panel is from MFT.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says where the challenge theme is "CUTE".

Next up, is a card using the same images, but using zig markers.  And, Perfect Pearls Mist in turquoise for interest.  Dots to finish the card.

Thanks so much for dropping by and viewing my cards today!  I hope you have an awesome day!  Take care! Hugs!!

Birthday Wishes!

Hi, Friends!

The first day of spring, yeah!  I know some of you have had signs of spring with blooms, but here in NW Ohio we are still waiting.  If it weren't for winter, how can we truly appreciate spring?!  Anyways, I'm looking forward to warmer weather and planting flowers!

I'd like to share with you a birthday card I made for my great nephew.  A fun bday card with the dog theme.  These dogs are helping Ash celebrate his birthday!  I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday  We are to use stripes and dots for the challenge.  I have the striped paper in the background and the sequins for the dots.

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a MFT die cut frame.  The images and paper are from Sunny Studio.  I colored the darling pups with copic markers.  The sequins are from Paper Sweeties.

A view of the inside of the card features a pup with coloring similar to my dog, Sheila.  The pup on the front of the card on the left is similar to Ash's Grandma's dog, Finn.  I hope Ash has a great bday and enjoys this dog themed card!

Thanks so much for taking time to drop by today and view the birthday card.  I hope you are having a great week!

Take care, hugs!

Paper Sweeties March 2019-Release Party!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day to purchase the new stamp/die set, Get Well!  And, the die set is Sweet Cuts-Get Well.

I decided to go a bit vintage style with my get well card today using lovely flowers from a previously released set called Pretty Posies.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a coral card base.  The background floral paper is from Crate Paper.  I colored the flowers with copics.  The panel behind the get well sentiment was dry embossed.  The sentiment was die cut using three colors, of coral cream, and brown.  The sentiment (feel better) is from the new set, also.  Ribbon Frosting was placed above the die cut sentiment.  The scalloped borders were die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  And, sequins (Latte Coffee) to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge- March 15, 2019(One for the Ladies!)

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to the Dies R Us Challenge once again for March!  A couple weeks ago we had a challenge (One for the men in our lives).  So, now this challenge is (One for the ladies)!  Come join in on the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate!  Enjoy creating!

I decided to make a girly girl card with a new die set I purchased from Dies R Us.  I love the chance to dress up a card and add lots of frills.  In fact, at times I add too much, lol!  I had to remove a few items.  There are lots of darling dies in the set from Sue Wilson!(Retail Therapy) ...

I like to incorporate several dies from Dies R Us and this is the final result for my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and die cut a frame from Lawn Fawn.  The shoes, lipstick, and perfume dies are from Sue Wilson.  And, the flower die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.

Another view of the card...

Pearls and ribbon were added for interest to finish the card.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Paper Sweeties March 2019-Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties March Release Sneak Peeks!

Debbie is releasing a new stamp/die set called Get Well this month!  I combined the new set with the bright happy previously released set Somewhere over the rainbow.  I would hope this cheery fun card would brighten up someone who is feeling a bit under the weather.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with striped rainbow paper from MFT.  The background was water colored using distress ink.  The sun and rainbow are from the set Somewhere over the rainbow.  The images were colored with copics and die cut using  Sweet Cuts-Somewhere over the rainbow.  The Get Well die cut was used for three colors, of red, white, and aqua for dimension and placed over the rainbow.  A strip of glitter washi tape was placed.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white, which is from the new Get Well set. Sequins(Strawberry) and twine to finish the card.

Another view of my card...

And, here is a view of the inside of the card using another sentiment from the new set, Get Well.
