Happy Father's Day!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there!  Today is a celebration for the wonderful men in our lives!  We are celebrating with dinner out for my husband.  We are planning for outside seating at one of our favorite spots with beautiful scenery.  And, we hope that the rain holds off while we have great food and fun!

I made this card for my husband...

He got a kick out of the strong man with the weight, lol!  The image is from Sugar Pea and the frame is from MFT.  I colored the image with copics and added dots for interest.  I wrote on his outfit..."Big Daddy".

Ok, well that's all for now, my friends!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  I hope you have a great week!  Take care!

Hugs!

Hi, there!

Today I'm sharing my card for the June Release Party!  I made an anniversary card for my husband with the cute pig from the new set Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse!  I don't think my husband will mind this frilly cute card.  I usually buy him a lovey dovey card, also.

For my shaker card, I started with a white card base and stamped the background.  The background sentiment and cute pig is from the new set Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse.  The love you sentiment is from the set Little Wishes.  The ribbon(Raspberry) is from Paper Sweeties, also.  The doily heart is from the set Sweet Cuts-With Love.  The sequins(Marshmallow) and  Bubblegum were used for the sequins mix.

For the inside of the card, I stamped happy anniversary.  The happy sentiment is from the planner set Planner Series: Celebrate and the anniversary sentiment is from the set Planner Series: Wedding.  The banner is from the set Sweet Cuts-Be Happy  The hearts stamped behind the banner are from the set Be Happy

Dies R Us Challenge-June 15, 2020!(Summer Time Fun)

Hi, Friends!

It's time once again for the Dies R Us Challenge!  And, the theme is (Summer Time Fun)!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project.  Come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating!

I decided to make get out my distress inks and have fun making a sunset background.  The distress inks that I used are Seedless Preserves, Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, and Mustard Seed.  The Hello Summer die is from Tutti Designs and the Checkered Frame die is from IO.  Wink of Stella was applied to the die cut for interest.  Black dots to finish the card.

For the inside of the card, the sentiment is from Pink&Main.  And, the sun is from Paper Sweeties.

All dies and inks that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Paper Sweeties June 14, 2020-Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!

Today I'm sharing my card for the June release sneak peek!  Madison is visiting her friend's farm and having a great time with the animals!  The new set this month is called Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse.  It coordinates well with a previously released set What's Up Chickie? .  And, I'll be highlighting both sets on the 16th for the Release Rewind.

For my card, I started with a white card base and made clouds using a stencil that I made from the set Let's go to the Beach.  The sun is from the set Island Time.  The sentiment, barn, and pig are from the new set Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse.  I had such fun coloring the adorable pig.  I was squealing while I was coloring spots oh him....so cute!  I wanted to reveal the cute chick inside the barn, so I made a cut down the center of the barn doors and popped it up for dimension.  The flowers are from the set Live Love Grow.  Madison's outfit and chick are from the set What's up Chickie?  I used Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders for the grass.  Sequins(Creamsicle) to finish the card.

Aren't those fun sentiments?!  It certainly makes me smile!  The sentiments are from the new set Farmhouse Sweet Farmhouse!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Happy Sunday to you!  It's a perfect day here in NW Ohio.  It will be in the low 70's today...perfect for me.  By Tuesday it will be in the mid 90's...whew.  Yes, I'll enjoy today's weather!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you the birthday card that went along with my friend's tag that was previously posted...

The large flower is from Altenew and the smaller flowers are from PTI.  The scallop squares were made using a SU punch.  The sentiment is from PTI, also.  The scallop panel was made using a die from Mama Elephant.  The leaves were made using a MS punch.

Here is the tag again that goes along with the birthday card...

Also, I'd like to share with you the puzzle that my husband and I put together.  It took us quite awhile working on it here and there for at least a month or maybe even longer.  But, it was fun.  We got excited when we found a piece that we had been looking for that seemed forever.  Anyways, here is the completed puzzle...

It's a 750 piece puzzle that has a shine to it.  The puzzle is called Reflections.  It is a beautiful puzzle with a lovely scene.  The mountains and sky gave us the most trouble.  What a sense of accomplishment it was once it was completed, lol!

Ok, friends.  It's strawberry season here, so we hare going to get those delicious fresh strawberries today...can't wait!  Whatever you have planned for today or this week I hope it's a great one!  Take care!

Hugs!
Maria

Father's Day, Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

How's everyone doing out there?  Trying times, right?  I'm thinking what's next?  I can watch the news at times, but find it difficult to watch it all the way through.  One has to take a break from it.  I have such sadness in my heart for the lives lost from COVID-19.  And, I praise God for those who have made it through. A neighbor recently barely survived...praised God!

Also, my heart aches for the families who have lost their loved ones to injustice.  Yes, black lives do matter!  I am learning more and more what blacks have to go through due to the color of their skin.  I can only imagine what a black mother goes through worrying about her children's safety.  I worry about my son, but I know it is so much more for a black mother.  It is sad...it is unfair.  I can remember my Mom saying that her mother was not kind towards blacks, and she did not want to teach us to be that way.  Kindness goes a long way.  We are each other's keeper.  No one is better than anyone for we all are sinful.  May we learn, may we listen, may we love one another.  Peace and love to you all!  Ok, I'm off my soap box now.  At times, it helps to just get thoughts out when your heart aches.

I'd like to share with you a card I made for my friend's daughter.  She wanted me to make several cards for her Mom and Dad for birthdays, etc.

For my card, I started with a teal card base and used a stencil for the clouds.  The images are from Your Next Stamp.  The sun was made using a punch.  Mike, the father, loves fishing, so I thought he would like this card.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says and Cardz 4 guys.

Next up, is a birthday card for her Mom, Nancy...

I started with a purple card base, because her favorite color is purple.  The cover plate die is from Pink&Main.  The sentiment is from PTI.  Ribbon and gem to finish the card.

I made a tag for Nancy from me for her birthday to attach to her birthday gift bag.  I made a card for her, too, but haven't taken the photo of it yet.  Anyways, the tag die is from MFT.  And, I just winged it with the pattern for a purple flower.

Ok, that's all I have for now.  It's good to hear the tractors in the field behind our house, because last year the weather didn't allow it...too much rain.  Take good care and have a wonderful weekend!  Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs!!
