HappyBirthday!

Hi there!

I want to thank you all for your sweet comments and prayers regarding the loss of my great niece, Isabel.  It's appreciated!

It's a cold damp day here in NW Ohio.  The temps have dropped once again to 40's and 50's.  I'll be dreaming now for summer to return unless I take a trip to a tropical island.  And, I don't see that happening in the near future, lol!  Anyways, I'd like to share with you a card I made for my great nephew's birthday.  I'm entering this card over at NBUS.

The images are from Paper Smooches.  Unfortunately, the company is now out of business.  I purchased a few things while they had some great sales.  I added the number 7 using a die from TE.  The background panel was die cut using a die from The Greetery.  All images were colored with copics.

Well, that's all for now.  I plan to refill some copic markers.  If only I can keep my fingers from getting all stained with color.  But, that's what we crafters do is get messy at times, right?!  And, it certainly is worth it!:-)  Ok, friends, I thank you so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs!

Little Angel, Isabel...

8-4-12 - 10-14-20

My little great niece, Isabel, went to heaven on October 14, 2020.  She was truly a sweet child of Jesus!  She experienced a miracle at the age of three in need of a liver and heart transplant for she suffered from a genetic disease.  Her liver was at 0%.  How she survived and got the heart and lung transplant at Cleveland Clinic in time is truly a miracle!  She expressed several times to her family how she saw Jesus and how beautiful he is.  She often told her brothers and sisters to be kind because that is want Jesus would want you to do.  In memory of her, I just wanted to spread this story for she touched our family in many ways.  Her love lives on in our hearts.  A couple weeks before she passed, she said how much she missed Jesus.  She loved animals, rainbows, sparkly things, and the colors of pink and purple.  Such a little child, but so big in so many ways.  We can learn from this little one, a child of Jesus, for she touched many people with her loving heart!  I just ask that you keep the family in prayer, especially Tim and Lydia, the parents.  And, her siblings, Hunter, Kayleen, Kayleigh, and Austin...all the family.

On a lighter note, I'd like to share with you a fall card I made for a friend...

The image is from Altenew and the embossing folder for the background is from Sunny Studio.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  It's truly appreciated!  Take care!

Hugs!!

Paper Sweeties October 2020-Release Rewind!

October Release Rewind!  Today is the day when we combine the new with previously released stamp sets.  Today I'm sharing my bridge card!

I used both new sets Home and Home Add-on:  Welcome.  The other sets that I used are Home is where your story begins(house and trees), Treat Box Add-on:  Home&Garden(flowers), and Somewhere over the Rainbow(hearts).  The background was made using distress inks(wilted violet, spiced marmalade, and mustard seed).

The heart was die cut and placed for the "O".  The frame was made using a die from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  The stone pathway was hand drawn.  All images were colored with copics.  The dimensions for the base of the card is 8" x 5 1/2".  Score at 1 1/4" and 2 1/2".  The two bands around the card are 1" x 9".  I hope you enjoyed viewing my projects for the new Sweet Kit released this month!  It's a great set to have on hand to create projects for several seasons throughout the year!

Paper Sweeties October 2020! Release Party!

Today I'm sharing my card for the October Release Party!  I made another Christmas card using the new released set Home and Home Add-on:  Welcome, which are included in the new Sweet Kit!

I went back to my vintage roots to make this card, lol!   I started with a red card base and paired it with teal.  The DP is from MME.  A holly image was stamped in place of the letter "O".  Strawberry sequins were placed on the holly image.  The small sentiments are from the new set Home Add-on:  Welcome.  Robin Egg and Frosting ribbon along the left border was added and tied with pearl cotton thread.  A few Robin Egg sequins were placed on the card.  Pearl Pearls Mists(Forever Red) was sprayed on the card for interest.  Stitching along the borders to finish the card.

The inside sentiment is from the set Manger.  Another Christmas card made, yes!

Dies R Us Challenge October 15, 2020! (Boo! Halloween)

It's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  And, the theme is (Boo! Halloween)!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project.  Get out those spooky dies!  Come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating!  I'm entering this card over at Two Old Bats Halloween Challenge!

The background sky was made using distress inks of Seedless Preserves and Picked Raspberry.  The house, bats, and ghost are from IO.  The birds are from Poppystamps.  The zig zag panels were die cut using Lawn Fawn dies.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  Perfect Pearls Mists Gold was used for the final touch.

The sentiment  and spider for the inside of the card is from Lawn Fawn, also.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Paper Sweeties October 2020-Release Sneak Peeks!

Today I'm sharing my cards for the October Release Sneak Peeks!  The new sets are Home and Home Add-on:  Welcome, which are part of a Sweet Kit!  The stamp sets are perfect for fall, winter, and even Valentine's Day!  First up, is my fall card ...

The card was made using distress inks of mustard seed and spiced marmalade. The home sentiment, sunflowers, and pumpkin are from the new set Home.  The frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  Creamsicle ribbon was added and tied with gold string for interest.  A gold heart dot and gold Nuvo Drops to finish the card.

The inside sentiment is from the set Happy Fall Y'all.

Next up, I have a Christmas slimline card...

For my Christmas card, the background was made using distress inks of broken china, salty ocean, cracked pistachio, and wilted violet.  The snowflakes and the large sentiment is from the Home set.  The small sentiment is from the set Home Add-on:  Welcome.  The trees are from the set Merry Christmas Y'all.  The house and hearts are from the set Somewhere over the Rainbow.  Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders was used for the scallops around the sentiments.  Sweet cuts-Circle Scallop Frames was die cut and placed behind the house.  The images were colored with copics.  A sugar sprinkle sequin was added to the center of the snowflake on the home sentiment.

The sentiments for the inside of the card is from the set Homemade with Love.  I loved making these seasonal cards with the large home sentiment!  It's a versatile set were several different images can be placed for the "O", so fun!
