Sending hugs...

(Char's card)

Hi, there!

I'm back again with another card this month for City Crafter to help celebrate their 8th anniversary!  This week we are to case Char's lovely card as seen above.  I love everything about her card with the beautiful flowers and background...so pretty!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and die cut a white panel using a Mama Elephant die.  I stamped the background with gray ink and second stamped leaves.  The flowers and sentiment are from Altenew.  The heart die is from Paper Sweeties.  Gray pearls to finish the card.

Another view of my card...

That's all for me today.  I hope you're having a great week!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick before I go to my sister's to a birthday celebration.  My oldest sis is celebrating her birthday.  I like to decorate gift bags at times and create a happy scene.  I'm entering my creation over at Word Art Wednesday.

And, here is the gift bag for my sister, Donna...

Several different stamp used for the gift bag such as MFT-sun, grass, and bicycle.  The balloons, bird, and stems on the flowers are from Paper Sweeties.  The butterflies are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The cloud die is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I colored the bird, balloons, and butterflies with copics.  I got a little ink out of place on the balloons, so I colored a design and added polka dots.  At times, mistakes come out better than expected, which was a happy surprise!  I made a card for her, too, but I didn't take a photo of it...sigh...and it's all sealed in the envelope.  Oh, well...next time.  But, I'm looking forward to getting together with my sisters for lunch and a good time celebrating!

Well, that's all for me now.  I'll be back soon.  In the meantime, take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs,
Maria

Dies R Us Challenge-April 15, 2018!(Springtime)

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Springtime).  Soon the trees will have leaves and pretty flowers blooming.  The grass will be green.  Oh, how I welcome signs of spring!  Please join us for this fun challenge and have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

I was inspired to make a spring card with lovely daffodils!  And, here is my card...

I started with a green base and paired it with yellow.  The daffodils are from Frantic Stamper.  I made a scalloped border using Lawn Fawn Stitched Scalloped Borders.  I used Sue Wilson's Dainty Lace Edger die for the corners and added orange dots.  Gold Nuvo drops were placed for the center of the daffodils.  A paper doily was added behind the flowers.  And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I just love seeing pretty yellow daffodils bloom in the spring, don't you?!

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Thinking of You!

Hi, there!

There is a fun challenge going on this month with the theme "CASE ME IF YOU CAN" to celebrate City Crafter's 8th birthday!  How fun and exciting!  I had to join the challenge
because my sweet friend, Ros Crawford, is the featured designer this week.  And, we are to case her lovely card.  I always admire Ros's water color and design skills!  So, I thought I'd give it a try.  Here is Ros's beautiful card that we are to case...

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a die cut panel using an MFT die.  The background was water colored using distress inks of broken china and twisted citron.  The flower image and sentiment embossed in gold are from Altenew.  Pearl cotton tied in a bow to finish the card.

Thanks so much for visiting here today.  Take care and have a lovely day!

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I'm back again playing at Seize the Birthday, but with a copic colored version using the same stamp set.  I like both cards, but for different reasons.  And, here is my copic colored card...

I started with a white card base and copic colored the flowers and birds from Pretty Pink Posh.  I added more detail on the images using my Prisma colored pencils.  A white gel pen and Nuvo drops for the center of the flowers.  The fence die is from MFT.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  And, silk blue ribbon to finish the card.

I 'm happy how the flowers turned out.  I do like the water colored humming bird on my previous card.  And, the above birds are good, but I feel I could have done better.  But, it's OK, every card is different.  So, here is a peek at the water colored card once again...

Ok, friends...which one do you like best?  I asked my husband, but he feels the same as I do.  I think he gave the safe answer for I already told him my opinions of the cards!:-)  Anyways, I hope you are having a wonderful day!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Maria

Happy Birthday!

Hi, there!

I'm still trying to push spring along, but it is taking its time to get warm.  We have another week before we reach normal temps.  So, I reached for my new purchase of the gorgeous petunia stamp set and humming bird stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh to put me in a spring mood.  I just love the sweet birds and pretty flowers!  I'm saving this card for my sis who has a birthday coming up in June.

I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday where the theme is birds.

And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and used distress inks of salty ocean and seedless preserves for the background.  The bird and flowers were water colored using zig markers.  The sentiment die and fence die are from MFT.  The sequins are from Inspired by Stamping.  And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The flowers seemed a bit too bright, so I added white gel dots to the centers.  I'm sure I'll give it another try at water coloring these pretty flowers and birds.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  It's appreciated!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-April 2018!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-April!

Hi, Friends!
Happy Easter!

Hope you all are having a wonderful blessed Easter!  We celebrated with some family early last week.  Today it's just a few celebrating at one of our favorite restaurants.  Easter is early this year and a bit chilly, but that's ok.  Being with family and having a good time is what is important.

Anyways, I have two posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card.  As you can see, I have an April shower theme for my planner that I'm revealing today.  April showers bring May flowers, right?  I did ink up some pretty flowers and colored them pink and aqua, which is one of my favorite color combos.  It will be another month before I do flower planting.  We have chance of frost here usually up until mid May.  But, it will be soon and I can't wait!

And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

I have Abigail  in her rain outfit...so cute!  The outfit is from the set Spring is here!.  The umbrella and water can is from the set Shower you with love.  The leaves are from the set Bee Happy  The sentiment on the second page and flowers are from the set Hello Spring.

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for April!
I hope you
check out our planner stamps and have fun decorating your
planner, too!

Hop along and have fun!  I hope you are inspired by the team...enjoy!
