I'm still trying to push spring along, but it is taking its time to get warm. We have another week before we reach normal temps. So, I reached for my new purchase of the gorgeous petunia stamp set and humming bird stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh to put me in a spring mood. I just love the sweet birds and pretty flowers! I'm saving this card for my sis who has a birthday coming up in June.
I'm entering this card over at Seize the Birthday where the theme is birds.
And, here is my card...
I started with a white card base and used distress inks of salty ocean and seedless preserves for the background. The bird and flowers were water colored using zig markers. The sentiment die and fence die are from MFT. The sequins are from Inspired by Stamping. And, the sentiment is from Sweet 'n Sassy. The flowers seemed a bit too bright, so I added white gel dots to the centers. I'm sure I'll give it another try at water coloring these pretty flowers and birds.
Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today! It's appreciated! Take care and have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs,
Maria
What a pretty card Maria, I love the way you coloured your flowers.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about having to make your own spring with card designs! Rumor around here is we might get snow on Saturday! Such craziness! But you have put me in a total spring mood with your pretty card. Love the flowers and hummingbird, and your zig coloring is fabulous. Love all the depth of color on those flowers. And the white dots are super fun, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card, Maria--love the colors!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, Maria! So sweet! I'm in no hurry to have the heat and humidity the warm weather brings!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card, really brings the spring in! Love the colors you've used, and the dots that accent the flowers are a wonderful touch. Thank you so much for joining us at Seize the Birthday challenge!
