April (Happy Birthday!)

Hi there friends!

I saw the photo inspiration as seen above for The Shabby Tea Room and couldn't resist playing this week.  All you needed to do was to get inspiration from the photo and use flowers.  I made this card for a co-worker who has a birthday next month.  And last weekend I made a visit to an Archiver's store , so I'm in the "shabby" mood for this card.  So many goodies all in one store!  I bought the lovely Crate Paper, lace, frame, and pleated paper.   One of my new favs now is the Craft Paper line...luvn' it!  Thanks for looking at my interpretation of shabbiness..it's appreciated!  Have a great day and take care!

Hi there!

I haven't done any cardmaking in awhile due to work and going away for the weekend for a bowling tournament.  I start another work day tomorrow, so no cardmaking until possibly Tuesday or Thursday...sigh.  But, I did get my crafter fix by visiting an Archiver's store.  Oh my, I was in cardmaking/scrapbook  heaven!  So, I did get some embellies and a little this and that for some soon to be cards.  I hope you have a wonderful week!  In the meantime, I will try and visit some blogs and see your lovely creations...take care!

Mark's Finest Papers Challenge#46-Thank You

Happy Sunday!

How's it going? Hope you are all doing well on this fine Sunday! They are having a CAS challenge at Mark's Finest Papers with the theme of gray and lime green. So, I thought how fun to try their challenge again this week! I learned something with copic markers. I'm very new to using them. My first attempt didn't turn out well, so I tried again. I had to keep the tip up straight and color lightly and carefully. Anyhow, this card goes to my boss at work who is trying to get things more organized for us, and she is doing a great job! Thank you for looking and adding any comments! Take care and have a great day!

Hi there!

The very talented Colleen Dietrich inspired me to try the Bleach Technique. She recently joined the design team for Mark's Finest Papers. Congrats, Colleen! And ya know what?! I gave this technique my best try!:-) I just simply have no idea if it was done in the right way. I checked out the tutorial Colleen provided over at Splitcoaststampers by Beaute. Whether it was done right or not, it certainly was fun and so simple! Next time I'll know not to pour as much bleach into a container. I think it cleared out my sinuses...lol! More Snow?!

Hi there!

We woke up to some more snow this morning. So many are tired of seeing the "white stuff". The weatherman said, "I don't think we'll see any snow next week". Dare we get our hopes up??!!:-) Spring is just a few weeks away...yeahhh! Anyways, I thought I'd share a few photos that my husband took this morning and afternoon of the snow and of our dog, Shadow. Shadow loves taking a break and just laying in the snow. I guess that's his way of cooling off.:-) Also, I wanted to share the snow melting throught the holes in the chair on our deck. Hope you are having a great weekend...take care!
