Peace on Earth...

Hi there!

Have you recovered from your Thanksgiving feast?  It was a so fun getting together with family and lots of delicious food...mmm.  And, today I braved the crowds for just a little while.  I went later in the afternoon to try to miss most of it, but did manage to get a Christmas gift for my mother-in-law.  Also, I stopped at Michael's for some more white ribbon.  I noted adhesive on sale, which was buy one and get one free, so I couldn't pass that up!:-)  If you went out shopping, I hope you were able to find some great deals!

So, onto my card.  I'm entering this card over at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog.  The challenge calls for a project using any sentiment.  I got out my neglected Verve stamp and die.  The snowflakes dies are Spellbinder's.  It's quite a simple card for me, but I did want the snowflakes to shine.  I have four sisters, so I thought about making this card in different colors for their Christmas cards.  Well, that's all for now, friends!  Take good care and have a great weekend, hugs!

Paper:  PTI, MFT, Bazzill
Stamp:  Verve
Ink:  SU(Night of Navy)

Christmas is Coming!

Hi there!

It has been quite awhile since I have entered a project over at The Shabby Tea Room!  I do love red and gingham and was inspired to use my little muslin bags from SU for a quick Christmas gift.  The challenge required to use the colors of red, white and brown.  Here is the beautiful inspiration photo we were to follow...

I started with a muslin bag and stamped the background with snowflakes.  A cup image from Hero Arts was stamped and paper pieced.  Gingham ribbon and snowflake placed for added interest.  I stitched a little stocking using felt and twine and filled it with candy canes, ivy, and pine cones.  I used copics to color inside the cup for the appearance of hot chocolate and applied glossy accents.  Hot chocolate mix was placed in a plastic bag inside the muslin bag and tied with ribbon, twine, and a cute little stocking button.

OK, that's all for now, friends.  I thank you so much for viewing my project today!  Take care and have a wonderful Thanksgiving, hugs!

Visions of Sugarplums...

Hi there!

How's your Monday going so far?  It's very chilly here in NW Ohio.  In fact, I do believe it's freezing!  No snow yet that can be seen.  I think that system went to the east coast.  I hear it's even cold in Texas...brrr!  Anyways, I stayed in the warm house today and did some cleaning and card making.  The cleaning part wasn't fun, but the card making was very enjoyable!:-)  This card above has some wonderful stamps from Paper Sweeties.  Those CUTE little gingerbreads, candy cane, and sentiment are from the stamp set Ho Ho Ho.  And, this darling set was released last month.  I'm entering this card over at Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

Here is the sketch we were to follow...

I started with a white card base and paired it with Bazzill(Nordic Pines).  The gingerbreads and candy cane were colored with a copic marker.  They were die cut with Ho Ho Ho Sweet Cuts.  For the final touch I added brads for interest.  This card was very easy to make and I really like the design.  I may use this again for more Christmas cards.  Thanks so much for stopping by today!  Take care, hugs!

Happy Anniversary!

Hi Again!

This is my second post for today.  I needed an anniversary card for my sister.  So, I thought I'd make a quick CAS card.  I'm not often happy with my CAS creations, but I am fond of this one.  My sis loves pink and roses, so I created this card using some of my neglected washi tape.  I need to use it more often for it really dresses up a card in a jiffy!  The stamp is from Stampabilities.  I punched out two hearts in the corner of the card.  Pink card stock and pearls placed to finish off the card.

OK, I better scoot to bed.  I stayed up way too late last night working on some projects.  Stay tuned for they will be revealed soon.  Thanks so much for dropping by, hugs!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi there!

Happy Friday to you!  I've been on vacation this week and have been busy every day except Wednesday.  I wanted to get more done especially the fall cleaning.  Fun, huh?  But, I did get one room done.  Some windows cleaned and crafts items organized.  I just have to plug along and get it done when I can.  Anyways, it's been a very fun week getting together with friends and family to celebrate my birthday, which is this Sunday.  My husband will take me out to dinner tomorrow.  Some place other than McD's I hope...lol!  Seriously, he's a sweetie, so I'm sure it'll be a nice dinner.

I enjoyed some creative time and started my Thanksgiving cards.  I'm entering the above card over at Cupcake Inspirations.  The theme is fall leaves.

I started with a kraft card base and layered with brown and orange.  I used Tim Holtz distress inks of mustard seed and spiced marmalade onto cream colored paper and stamped leaves at random.  The sentiment was colored with copics.  I added ribbon and gems to finish off the card.

Thank you for viewing my card here today.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend, hugs!

A Christmas Wish...

Hi there!

Happy Wednesday to you!  I just thought I'd share with you one of the cards that I made for volunteers at my work.  I do love angels and so I could not resist purchasing this sweet little angel from The Craft's Meow!  I thought it was very fitting to use this stamp for our work volunteers because they truly are angels!  We have many in our department who file, put charts together, and take patients to the procedure room, etc.  They are a big part of our team and a huge blessing to us!

I started with a white card base and used Doodlebug papers.  I paper pieced the angel and colored her with copics.  I added glitter to the halo and wings.  Ribbon and gems to finish off the card.

Next week I have a another card showcasing a sweet angel.  So, please stay tuned.  Thank you for viewing my card here today.  I hope you're having a wonderful crafty day, hugs!
