Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in quick to share with you a  card I made for a friend's birthday!  I used a new stamp with a pretty flower image from MFT.  And, the sentiment is from Mama Elephant.  I used my zig markers to water color the flowers.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says

Sequins from Paper Sweeties, yarn, and splatters of DI to finish the card.

Well, not much going on around here.  My hubby starts working long hours this Wednesday into next month.  I'm happy that we were able to get away a couple weeks ago to share some fun time together before the March Madness begins, lol!  Maybe I should look on the bright side and think it gives me more alone craft time!:-)  Have you made any Easter cards yet?  I started my Easter cards and have one done.  There are many more to go.  I will, though, work on more when I go to a craft retreat with my friend, Nancy, on March 7th.  It's always a good time with many friends and delicious food.  I wish I could say I'm going to work on cards now, but I need to finish cleaning the house.  Ok, friends, whatever you have planned for today, I hope it's great!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties-February 2020-Look Back Inspiration-Day #3!

Welcome back to Paper Sweeties February-Look Back Inspiration-Day #3!

There isn't a new release this month, so Paper Sweeties is looking back on previously released stamp/die sets!  We are going with a (Love) theme this month!  I have two new projects today highlighting  Wish,  Sent from my heartand With Love!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with  DP from Doodlebug.  I just love all those bright happy hearts!  The sentiments are from the set Wish.   The hearts are epoxy stickers. Sequins(Strawberry) were placed over the centers of the hearts.  This Valentine card was sent to my son.

A view of the inside of the card...

The inside sentiment is from the set Sent from my heart.

Next up, is my treat bag filled with candy mints...

The treat bag is from SU.  The pretty heart doily die cut is from the set With Love.  The sentiment is from the set Sent from my heart.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  Ribbon(Frosting) and a Sequin(Strawberry) placed over an epoxy heart sticker to finish the treat bag.

I had lots of fun making this Valentine card and treat bag!  And, I hope you enjoyed viewing my Valentine projects this month!  It was so wonderful using previously released products with the love theme from Paper Sweeties!  In my opinion, the heart doily is just one of the must haves for any Valentine project, so pretty!  Please take a peek at the list below of my talented teammates to view more inspiration!

Dies R Us Challenge-February 15, 2020!(Wild Thing-any type of animal)

Hi, Friends!

It's the second challenge of the month for Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Wild Thing-use any type of animal)!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project.  Come and join in the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate!  Enjoy creating!  I thought I'd brush off the dust and use IO dies on my card.  The checkered frame die is new, but I had the deer and heart dies.

For my card, I started with a cream card base.   I wanted to make a card that wasn't too frilly for my husband.  The sentiment is from Simon Says.  I sponged the background with distress inks of worn lipstick, picked raspberry, and spun sugar.

The sentiment for the inside of the card is from Hero Arts.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at the Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Paper Sweeties-February 2020-Look Back Inspiration-Day #1!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties February-Look Back Inspiration-Day #1!

There isn't a new release this month, so Paper Sweeties is looking back on previously released stamp/die sets!  We are going with a (Love) theme this month!  I have two new projects today highlighting  A Friend is and With Love!   You can see below what wonderful sweet sentiments are from the set A Friend is!

I started by die cutting the treat box, which is from the set Sweet Cuts-Treat Box.  The heart die cut placed over the foil doily is from the set With Love.  The sweet sentiment is from the set A friend is.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  The ribbon(Raspberry), glitter clothes pin, tulle, rick rack, and cherub were placed to finish the treat box.

Hershey candies were wrapped with DP and the sentiment is from the set A friend is.  The treat box was placed on the table at my church small group meeting along with twelve of the wrapped candies for I was the hostess this month.  Yummy cupcakes were served, also.  I wanted to do something special for the dear ladies for they all are very kind sweet ladies!

Thinking of you...

Hi, friends!

I'd like to share with you a card I made.  They are friends of ours and she and her husband are going through a rough time right now.  They both are experiencing some health issues.  I wanted to send a card that I thought would be right for both of them.  I noticed the challenge going on at CAS Mix Up and was inspired by all the inspiration from the DT!  I've only done a stencil from a die cut one time.  I think it's a great idea and so fun!

For my card, I started with a light green card base and paired it with a die cut panel using a Mama Elephant die.  The stencil was made using a die from TE(Silhouette Stems 3).  I sponged on the distress inks using cracked pistachio and mustard seed.  The label die is from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from PTI.  The choice on my card was splatters.  It's difficult to see, but I did it very lightly.  This card was easy peasy and I love the  soft colors.  I'll be making more of these for I often run out of thinking of you cards.

Thank you so much for dropping by today!  I hope all is well your way!  Take care!

Hugs!

Happy Valentine's Day!

I'm just popping in quick to share with you more Valentine cards.  The above Valentine was made for my sweet friend, Cheryl.  Lawn Fawn dies were used for the hearts and the sentiment is from Hero Arts.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge.-(Anything Goes).

More Valentine cards...

I used Simon Says heart die and Lawn Fawn die sentiment for the first card.  For the second card, MFT products were used.  And, for the third card, Paper Sweeties products were used.

My first card was made using the same Simon Says heart die as seen above.  My second card was made for one of my sisters.  The paper is from Doodlebug and the die was from Simon Says.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner.  My sweet husband is taking me away for the weekend.  Usually we don't do anything super special, but he'll be working lots of hours at his work next month, so it's a time to get away from it all and have some fun.  Whatever you have planned, I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day!  Take care and thank you so much for taking the time to drop by today!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-February!

Hi, Friends!

Happy February 1st!  Another month closer to spring!

And, it's time for our monthly planner reveal for Paper Sweeties!  I have the sweet pup mailing all the Valentine cards!  The pup is from the set Sent from my heart.  I love the adorable little pup because he looks a bit like my pup, Sheila, with all the black spots!  The banners along the top of the pages were die cut using the set Planner Series: All Occasions.  The balloons, gifts, and heart are from the same set, too.  BoBunny design paper was used to make the banners.

I have another posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card.

Here is a closer view of the first page...

And, now a closer peek at my second page...
