Rutherford B. Hayes Library Centennial Celebration!

Hi, Friends!

We donned our red, white, and blue for the fun celebration at one of our favorite places to visit!  Rutherford B. Hayes was the 19th president and he had the first presidential library!  They celebrated 100 years today in his honor!  They had a parade with several bands in the area.  And, my husband was super excited because the Ohio State Band was there, too!  It was one hot blazing day, but the music was awesome!  Here are the photos...enjoy!

Hello...Thank You!

Hi, Friends!

Happy Sunday to you!  Hope all is well in your world!  Yesterday evening I did some crafting and came up with two cards that I needed for a couple of friends.  I'm entering over at Lawnscaping Challenges.  And, here are my cards...

I used the Memory Box Peony Outline die against a water colored background.  Scallop border dies from Lawn Fawn and MFT.  The shimmer on my card is the Wink of Stella on the flower.  The stamp used for the sentiment is from Inspired by Stamping.  And, pearls to finish the card from Doodlebug.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have an awesome week!

Magee Marsh...

Hi, Friends!

TGIF!  Hope you have a wonderful weekend!  We finally hit the 70's here and they are to continue into next week...yeah!  I've been wanting to enjoy the outdoors and visit Magee Marsh, which is only a few miles from me near Lake Erie.  This week is the last week for prime time viewing of the warblers that migrate here each year.  For more info on Magee Marsh you can visit here. Many people from all over the world come to see the awesome lovely birds.  I'm certainly no birder, but just taking a stroll along the path and seeing all the wild life is such fun!

So, sit back and sip your favorite beverage as you take a view of my photos...enjoy!

Canada Geese

Lovely Butterfly

Gorgeous Yellow Warbler

We didn't see the eagle's nest, but we
do see eagles at times in our area.

Lake Erie is north of the marsh area.

Time to head home...bye...

We wanted to get more bird pics, but those little guys are so fast.  But, we are happy with the pics we did get.  Hope you enjoyed my photos today!  Take care and have a wonderful weekend!

Hi, there!

Today wraps up the May Paper Sweeties Release with today's Release Rewind!  I hope you've enjoyed seeing all the inspiration!  New stamps/dies are combined with previously released stamps/dies for our projects today.

I am highlighting the *new* stamps/dies from the set Sweet Borders and coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  It can be seen at the bottom right corner.

For the scene on my card, I started with a white card base and used distress inks to make the sky and grass with Tim Holtz distress inks...shabby shudders, peeled paint, broken china, and tumbled glass.  Jake was colored with copics and die cut with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Jake.  His outfit was paper pieced using the stamp set You're a Superstar!  The sun is from the set Island Time and die cut using Sweet Cuts-Island Time.  The clouds and kite are from Happy Fall Ya'll stamp set.  The cute little dog is from the stamp set Sweeties Pets.  And, the trees were made using the dies from the set Sweet Cuts-Trim the Tree.

Hi Friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties May Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has designed a wonderful stamp set Best Dad, which can be used for those Father's Day cards/projects!

Little Jake is sporting a fine suit.  He was die cut with coordinating die Sweet Cuts-Jake.  He looks like the perfect gentleman!  I embossed the sentiment in gold and added gold star brads for the finishing touch.

Just an easy card.  But, I wanted the dapper fine gentleman to shine on the card.

Ok, well I hope you take a peek at what the rest of the design team came up with ...have fun!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-May 2016!

Hi, there!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of May!  Debbie has designed a new set this month for your planner decorating, which is Planner Series: Checklist!  This set would be so helpful to remind yourself on your planner for all those important things to do.  As you can see on my planner, the important things to do are making birthday cards!:-)

It is May and it's time to plant flowers!  I usually plant about four dozen geraniums.  It will be great to see pretty flowers blooming everywhere once again!

I used a pretty flower from the stamp set Thinking of You for the flowers seen at the top of the planner.  Potted flowers from the stamp set Live Love Grow are seen at the bottom on the right.  The sentiment from the same stamp set is seen at the top.  Lots of planner stamps were incorporated for my May calendar page this month such as Planner Series: Get your Craft OnWinter Sentiments,  Happy Icons,  CelebrateVacation, and Appointments.

And, here is a closer peek of my pages...

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 359!

Hi, Friends!

Paper Sweeties has been invited to sponsor Cupcake Inspirations!  A $25 gift certificate will go to one lucky winner!  The theme for the challenge is bunting.  I just love the colorful banner against all the white!  And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base and stamped and die cut Birthday Banners/Sweet Cuts-Birthday Banners.  Twine(Robin Egg) was addded to the banner and carriage.  The baby carriage and sentiment are from the stamp set Bundle of Joy and die cut using Sweet Cuts-Bundle of Joy.  Copics were used to color the images.  And, Wink of Stella was applied to the heart on the carriage to finish the card.

I hope to see your card over at the challenge...good luck!

My Mom has been gone since 2013, but she will always remain in my heart...love you, Mom!  Happy Mother's Day to all!!!

Take care!

You Color My World!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card made for the Sandy Allnock's  Earlybird Bonus Class for her Copic Jumpstart Online class, which will begin on May 27th!  We were to color the adorable squirrel holding a copic marker.  I added the sentiment from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I didn't have all the markers that Sandy used to color her squirrel, but that's ok because she is teaching us to try to use other colors.  And, I'm happy with the colors that I chose. Here are the colors that I used for my card...

l have taken copic classes in the past, but I felt I needed a refresher course.  And, Sandy is one of the best!  She has fabulous tutorials and her hex chart that I purchased last year is so helpful!  I'm really looking forward to learning more from Sandy!

Ok, that's all for now.  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!
