Mr. & Mrs....




Hi, there!

How's things in your part of the world?  I hope you all are doing well!  We've had some happy celebrations going on in our family.  The above photo shows Hailey(my great-niece) and her husband, Alec who married on 8-7-21.  I don't think I posted a photo of them yet or the card I made for them.  My memory isn't what it used to be, lol!  



The stamp images are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The colors of the wedding were lavender.  I just love these stamp images and plan to use it once again for a wedding in October.  


These two surprised all when they cut the cake!  I thought this sweet couple would be very nice, but they had a good time with smearing it on their faces.  I think Alec got the worst of it, lol!  Alec is a triplet and has a younger brother, too.  They all made speeches at the wedding, so fun!  And, one of Hailey's sisters and best friend made a speech.  To top it off, my nephew, Dean, who is the father of the bride made the final speech.  I never heard so many speeches at a wedding!  But, it was super fun and very enjoyable!

Another great celebration in the family is a great niece born on 8-13-21....Reagan Irene.  Such a blessing and so precious!!

Paper Sweeties August 2021-Release Rewind!



Hello there!
I'm back again today to share with you
 another gnome home card and a tag!




I used water colors to make this sweet gnome home.  The sentiment and home is from the new set Gnome Sweet Gnome.  The dragonfly, flowers, and birds are from the set Home Tweet Home.  The clouds are from the set Let's go to the beach.

And, now the tag...



The butterfly is from a previously released set...Bee Happy.  The tag was made using Sweet Cuts-For You.  The seam binding ribbon is creamsicle.

Paper Sweeties August 2021-Release Party!




Hi, there!  It's the Release Party today for Paper Sweeties!
Today is the day that you are able to purchase the new
set Gnome Sweet Gnome!



I love all the red, white, and blue, don't you?!  I have a feeling that there's a very patriotic gnome in this home!

For my card, I started with a white card base and made the sky using DI Broken China.  The house, heart and sentiment is from the new set Gnome Sweet Gnome.  The dragonfly, flowers, and fence are from a previously released set...Home Tweet Home.  The fence was made using Sweet Cuts-Home Tweet Home.  All images were colored with copics.  Twine to finish the card.  


For the inside of the card, I used the same previously released set...Home Tweet Home.

Dies R Us Challenge August 15, 2021-(Anything Goes!)




It's the 15th and time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!


I have a special 40th anniversary card for my SIL and her husband  using some wonderful dies from Dies R Us!  Their 40th wedding anniversary is next month.





I started with a black base and paired it with a frame from IO(Square Shaker Frame).  The shaker mix is from Paper Sweeties.  The love birds are from IO, also.  I used Antique Linen distress ink on the background.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.  A felt heart with a bow added for interest.


For the inside of the card, the sentiments are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  I added a photo of one of their wedding photos that I had taken at their wedding.  I think I took it with a Kodak instamatic camera.  Remember those cameras, lol?!



I hope the sweet couple has a very Happy 40th Anniversary!

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts.  


It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Paper Sweeties August 2021-Release Sneak Peeks!





Hi, Friends!

Welcome to August Sneak Peeks for Paper Sweeties!  A few months ago we had new stamp/die sets with gnomes and even gnome bugs.  And, now for the new release this month we have Gnome homes...Gnome Sweet Gnome!  I had lots of fun making a gnome home using PhotoPlay stickers and paper to create the card below!




The sentiment along the bottom of the card is from the set Home is where your story begins.  The scalloped circle behind the gnome home is from the set Sweet Cuts- Circle Scallop Frames.  The home was colored with colored pencils.  Sequins(creamsicle) to finish the card.


The inside sentiment is from the same set used on the front of the card...Home is where your story begins.

Get well soon!



Hello!

It's been awhile since my last post.  Life gets in the way at times.  I've been busy with design team assignments, visiting with in-laws, and the wedding of my great niece Hailey and her husband, Alec.

I jumped on the bandwagon and purchased the new coneflower die from Honey Bee.  Needless, to say, I fell in love immediately with the awesome die!  For the above card I made a get well card for my stash.  And, in my excitement with the die, I forgot to finish it with the middle top part of the flower, ha!  I had already taken the photo and saw it.  I can't tell you how many times that has happened!  Oh well, I think  it'll be just fine as is and I'm sure I'll be making more cards using this fabulous die.  I'm entering this card over at the  The Flower Challenge.

As I mentioned above, my niece Hailey and Alec got married last weekend.  It was a great time celebrating the darling sweet couple's wedding!  They are truly a match made in heaven, so sweet!!


It was such a treat hearing the speeches from Hailey's best friend, Bailey and sister, Julia.  Also, Alec is a triplet and has another brother.  They all gave speeches, so fun!  To top it off, my nephew, Dean, the father of the bride, gave a speech, too!  I don't think I've ever been to a wedding that involved so many speeches, but it was truly enjoyable and filled with laughter!  It was a true joy to get out with family and have a great time!

Well, that's about it for now.  We are doing some yard work today.  We've had some terrible storms here recently.  My sis had a pool party yesterday, but we didn't get in the pool since it rained.  I tell ya the weather has been so unusual with heavy downpours and very high humidity.  We had several limbs break from the trees from the last storm and we noted a huge tree in town that fell on a house.  Anyways, I hope we get relief soon from the humidity, which will be hopefully this weekend.
