Thank You!

Hi, there!

I hope you all had a wonderful blessed Christmas!  It was a quiet one here since my husband had left knee surgery on 12-23 to repair a torn meniscus.  He's doing well getting around and sees the doctor next Thursday.  He should return to work on 1-6.  I have had to put my nurse hat on and take care of the ole guy, lol!  He's very independent, though, and has done well!

Anyways, I have taken it easy these past few days except for laundry and working on some design team assignments.  I got together with my friend, Nancy, to exchange gifts on Saturday.  We had a nice breakfast at Denny's and then did some shopping at Jo-Ann's.  Here is the thank you card that I made for her...

My card is fairly simple with the gnome and tree images from Sugar Pea.  The sentiment is from MFT.  I colored all images with copics.  Dots and twine added to finish the card.

I thought I'd share a photo of my two favorite guys after the church service on Christmas Eve.  It's always a wonderful service!  Our son, Jeremy, played the piano and organ for the whole service.  The highlight is when he plays the Hallelujah chorus with the choir...so majestic and beautiful!  Also, another favorite part of the service is when everyone lights their candles and sings Silent Night.

Well, I believe that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking time to drop by today!  I hope you all are having a relaxing peaceful holiday season!  And, I am wishing for you many joys and blessings for the upcoming new year, 2020!

Hugs!

Merry Christmas!

Popping in two share a couple more cards that I made for the holiday season.  I got out my metallic paints from Altenew for the above card.  The sentiment is from Altenew, also.  The scallop frame is from Lawn Fawn.  I wanted more shine, so I used Perfect Pearls Mists in Turqoise.  A few random spots with gold glitter gel and heart gems to finish the card.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday

Next up, is my Sheila card that I made for the gals at the kennel.   We went on two vacations this year and I know she was in very good hands while we were away.  I wanted to make a special card and I gave them a tin of treats to show our appreciation.

Funny story...my first photo of Sheila was not a good one.  As soon as the first photo was done, she jumped over to the chair.  She was glued to the chair and didn't want to move!  Well, I picked her up and had her sit on the foot stool in front of the tree.  I did manage to take a good photo.  After she was done, she made it known to me that she wasn't happy...woof woof went the little one...and woke my husband up.  Ut oh...we are in trouble now, lol!  But, the job was done and I delivered the card and goodies with success!:-)

Ok, well that's all for now!  I'm wishing for you all a blessed Merry Christmas and a new year filled with lots of joy!  Take care!  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today, hugs!!

Who loves coffee?!  Oh, I know I do and my friend, Nancy, too!  This sweet little project was made for my dear friend who loves Sumatra coffee from Starbucks!  I followed the instructions for the cup holder from BJ Peters(stampinbj.com).

I started with a red base and added adorable ginger paper from Doodlebug(Christmas Magic), which can be purchased in the shop at Paper Sweeties.  The gingers are from the set Basket Add-on: Baked with Love.  The peppermints and sentiment are from the set Gingerbread House.  I used Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames to cut out the area for the handle.  Ribbon and Sequins(Strawberry) placed to finish the Keurig cup holder.

I made a card to match the cup holder...

The sentiment is from the set Merry Christmas Y'all.  The candy canes are from the set Gingerbread House.  And, the frame was made using the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  I had lots of fun making these projects with the gingerbread theme!!

Dies R Us Challenge December 15, 2019!(Anything Christmas)

Hi, Friends!

How are your Christmas preparations going?  It's such a busy time of the year!  I hope you are feeling the holiday spirit and have time to join our challenge!  The theme is Anything Christmas!  An easy theme, but we just ask that you use at least one metal die to be eligible for the prize.

I decided to use a nativity scene die for my card.  All dies were used on this card except for the inside of the card with the sentiment from Altenew.

For my card, I started with a white card base and sponged on distress ink of Mustard Seed.  The manger scene is from IO.  The scalloped frame is from LF and the sentiment is from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  I added a gem to the star.

A view of the inside of the card...

The sentiment is from Altenew.  All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Well, the above card was my second try because I wasn't happy with the first one.  So, here is my first try.  Which is your favorite?

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties!

HELLO!!

Today is my day to share for the 25 Days of Christmas with Paper Sweeties!!
It's a FUN & INSPIRATIONAL 25 Days with a NEW Project shared Daily!!
You can find the Schedule Below!!
Here are my projects for today!!

Who doesn't love a classic red truck?!  The red truck is seen everywhere now days, so
popular!  And, this special little truck is filled with chocolate treats...so fun!!

I remembered Lori Hairston had a video on making a 3-D truck.  And, her truck was super cute!!  Her post and video on making the truck can be seen here...ChouxChouxPaperArt.  I did have to make adjustments due to her truck being a littler larger.  But, I was so pleased with the final result!

The truck is from the set Merry Christmas Y'all.  I colored the truck with copics and applied Nuvo glitter accents for a frosty effect.  The bed of the truck is holding the chocolate treats tied with Green Apple Ribbon from Paper Sweeties, also.  Red candy canes placed with the treats, too!

The back of the truck has added sparkle by filling in the bulb with Nuvo glitter accents.  The joy sentiment is from the same set as the truck...Merry Christmas Y'all.

I made a card to go along with the 3-D truck.  The sentiment and images are from the same set as listed above except except for the gifts.  The gifts are from the set...Truck Add-on: Occasions.  The background with the trees was made using a stencil from the tree image.  All images were colored with copics.  A sign stamped and attached at the top of the card for the finishing touch!

Merry Christmas!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a card I made at a crop Saturday I went to with my friend, Nancy.  I made several cards throughout the day and had fun with friends!  A highlight was the homemade Chinese food, egg rolls, and buckeye cupcake....chocolate with peanut butter...yum!!

I feel like I'm behind this year.  Where does the time go?  We did go to Las Vegas over Thanksgiving with our son and two of his friends.  We met up with our sis-in-law and her husband towards the end of the week.  My husband and the guys played black jack.  My son was the one who came out ahead of everyone.  No big losers, so that was good!  I didn't gamble because I don't want to lose my money.  I wanted to save my money for the sales that weekend!  Also, we saw one of the Cirque du Soleil shows...Beatles...very good!

I have more cards to make and my baking to do.  I managed to get chex mix done today.  I mixed up sugar cookie dough to bake for tomorrow.  My husband has been helping me as much as he can, but he has a torn meniscus in his left knee...ouch!  The poor guy is hobbling around doing the best that he can.  He returns to the doctor tomorrow to go over the MRI results.

Oh, yes....now onto my card...

My card was very easy with the sentiment already on the paper.  The Santa is from Pretty Pink Posh and the snowflakes are from CAS-ual Friday.  This card will go to my friend, Peggi.  I'm entering my card over at Simon Says

Ok, I'll be back on Friday with a Paper Sweeties project for our 25 Days of Christmas.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-December 2019!

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-December!

Hi, Friends!

Merry Christmas!  I hope you all are doing well and that you have a wonderful blessed Christmas season!

It's time for our monthly planner reveal for Paper Sweeties!  Lots of Christmas images from the planner set Planner Series: Happy Holidays on my pages this month.  Love those adorable little Santas!  Also, Doodlebug paper from the new Christmas Magic paper pack was used, especially along the bottom of the second page.

The Christmas tree is from the set Meet me under the Mistletoe.  I drew the tree free hand and stamped the sentiments.  Gems were added to the tree and to the reindeer's noses.  The gifts for the birthdays were embossed and die cut using the set Planner Series: All Occasions.

I have another posts today, so please scroll down to see my DRU card.

Here is a closer view of the first page...

And, now a closer peek at my second page...

I had lots of fun decorating my planner for December!
I hope you
