Hello!

Hi, Friends!

I've been busy around here with different things, but made time to open the June card kit from Simon Says!  It put a big smile on my face with the lovely stamps and paper...so pretty!

First, I embossed the stamp image with gold and colored the flowers with copics.  Sequins from Paper Sweeties were added.  The panels were die cut using MFT dies.  I added a ribbon and a strip of gold washi tape at the top of the card.  It came together quickly before I ran a few errands this afternoon.  I was missing my craft room, so making a card today was great fun!

Next up is a card I made for my husband for our 40th anniversary.  Wow!  I can hardly believe it's been forty years!  And, we have never done this before, but we both bought each other the same store bought card...lol!  I usually make a card and buy him one.  The card I made him was a bit frilly, but he didn't mind...

Our son, Jeremy set up reservations near where he lives in Columbus at a fabulous restaurant, Refectory.  He bought us a very nice bottle of wine for the celebration.

This beautiful building was converted from a church into a restaurant.  You can see
the lovely stain glass windows in the background.  The food was absolutely delicious!

Well, that's all for now.  Thank you so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great week!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties-June 15, 2019-Release Party!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day to purchase the two new stamp/die sets, Mermaid Wishes and Sea you soon!

Today, I am highlighting both new sets.  Oh, such fun sets to play with to create an ocean scene!

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a dark blue card base and paired it with Simple Stories DP.  The background was made using distress inks.    All images were  water colored using zig markers.  I drew a rock free hand for Madison, the mermaid, to rest against.  She is worn out from swimming with all her sea friends.  Madison's mermaid outfit, starfish, seaweed, and sentiment are from the Mermaid Wishes set.  And, the fish, crab, and octopus are from the set Sea you soon.  Sequins(Cookie Dough) were added for the centers of the starfish to finish the card.

Dies R Us Challenge-June 15, 2019 (Summer)

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to the Dies R Us Challenge once again for June!  The theme is Summer!

I have some more Lawn Fawn fun today since I recently purchased Stitched Windy Backdrop die.  It makes for the perfect background for the butterflies from Jeanine's Art.  The butterfly dies are a new purchase, too, from Dies R Us Store.  I love seeing the beautiful butterflies in the summer!

For my card, I started with a white card base and added the stitched Windy Backdrop die cut panel.  I added the butterflies.  Gold Nuvo drops were added for the centers.  A stitched scallop border was added for interest.  The sentiment from Inspired by Stamping was embossed in gold.  Gems to finish the card.

Another view of the card...

You can see from this view how intricate the butterfly dies are and the outline of the die can be used separately for a solid butterfly.  Three different designed butterflies, so pretty!

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  Hope you check out the store for  amazing selection of dies, stamps, papers, inks, etc.!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!

Would you like more inspiration?  Check out some amazing creations from my talented teammates!

Paper Sweeties June 14, 2019- Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties June Release Sneak Peeks!

Debbie is releasing two new stamp/die sets this month called Mermaid Wishes and Sea you soon!  Today, I made a fun shaker card using both sets.  This would be a great stamp set for those girls in your life who love mermaids!  I happen to have a niece to loves everything and anything to do with mermaids.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  Little Madison is the sweet mermaid.  Her mermaid outfit and the sentiment are from the new set Mermaid Wishes.  I colored all the images with copics.  And, I wanted the strips of paper and scalloped frame to match, so they were colored with copics, too.  The scalloped frame was die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Oval Scalloped Frames.  It was filled with the shaker mix of Marshmallow, Robin Egg, and Grape sequins.  Don't you love those sweet smiling fish, so cute?!  The fish and the shell are from the new set Sea you soon.

Another view of my card...

The seahorse and clam are from the new set Sea you soon and the sentiment is from the new set Mermaid Wishes.
