Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

I hope all is well your way!  We have rainy cold weather today.  So, it was a good day to spend the afternoon making birthday cards for December.  I'm entering over at Simon Says Challenge.(Christmas or winter/festive)

My first card will be going to my friend, Dorothy.  All cards were made with SU poinsettia stamps/dies.  The sentiments vary, which are from PTI and SU.

I just couldn't resist purchasing the lovely poinsettia stamp set and design papers from SU this year.  For this card, I did add a scallop border that was die cut using a die from MFT.  The sentiment is from PTI.  Gems and twine added to finish the card.

Next up,

This card will be going to my sis for her birthday.  I went with a buffalo plaid theme for her birthday this year.

On this card, I gold embossed the poinsettia.  The design paper is from MME.  The sentiment is from PTI.  Gems and ribbon to finish this second card.

Last up,

This card will go to my friend, Peggi.  I used to work with her at the hospital where I worked.  She was the administrative assistant.  She was so sweet and organized.  I miss her and my good nurse friends, Nola, Mary, and Michelle.  But, once this crazy covid virus is over with I'm sure we will get together and meet for dinner.

I'm sure they could all pass for Christmas cards, but they are needed for birthday cards.  For this last card, I used the dies that embossed the poinsettia and leaves.  I did case the design from the SU Christmas catalog.  The background was stamped with the pine bough stamp in DO rustic wilderness.  The sentiment is from SU.  Love the very pretty beaded pearls from SU, also.  Pearls and gold thread bow to finish the card.  Which one is your favorite?  I guess I am leaning towards the last card because I love all the pretty layers!

Ok, friends, that's all for now.  May you have a blessed week and a wonderful Thanksgiving for all of you in the USA!

Take care, hugs!!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with Doodlebug paper.  The cow is from the new stamp set Hay there!  The balloons and party hat are from the set Wishing you!  All images were colored with copics.  The circle frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  The background behind the cow was made using DO mustard seed and candied apple.  The fence was embossed.  It was then die cut using the die from the new set Hay there!  Brads were placed for interest.  Sequins (Strawberry) to finish the card.

The birthday sentiment is from the same set as the balloons and party hat...Wishing you.

The inside sentiment is from Avery Elle.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

Hi, friends! Paper Sweeties is so excited to be joining Tracey McNeely  for her annual 25 Days of Christmas Tags event!   What a great opportunity to make tags and see fabulous inspiration from other designers!  And, lots of prizes, how fun!!

Today, I'm sharing tags that I created using darling filled stockings and fun sentiments!  I must say, the second tag may not deserve candy or presents in that stocking, lol!  Hmmm...which stocking does that one belong to?

The tag was die cut using For You.  The stockings and sentiments are from the set Dear SantaGreen Apple and Robin Egg seam binding along with sparkly pom poms to finish the tags.

Make sure you head over to Tracey's blog for additional details and to see loads more of gift tag inspiration!
