Hi, there!

It's time for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!  Actually, it started last Friday on the 25th, but it's still on until June 1st!  I'm finally getting around to making a card and posting it!  A busy holiday weekend with yard work, planting flowers, and a little time out enjoying the sun!  Anyways, here is my coffee themed card using a few sets from Paper Sweeties!  There are several coffee/tea themed sets available that you can check out to make a creation or send a card to a friend who needs a (perk) up card!:-)

 And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a blue base and paired it with a water colored background using mustard seed distress ink.  The coffee cup and sentiment panel was water colored with various distress inks.  The sentiment and small coffee cups from Tackle life one cup at a time.  I just love that sentiment!  The large coffee cup is from the set Keep calm and drink coffee.  The mat underneath the coffee cup is actually the rainbow from the set Somewhere over the rainbow.  The hearts are from the same set.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  Twine and gold spray mist to finish the card.

Project Supplies:

Tackle life one cup at a time

Keep calm and drink coffee

Thanks so much for dropping by!  Enjoy the hop!  Have a great week!

Maria

Magee Marsh...

Hi, there!

We couldn't resist making another visit to Magee Marsh yesterday.  My husband spotted the adorable geese just as we entered the area.  Here is a closer peek at one of them...

Dad and Mom were close by and making sure that we didn't get too close...

I think this blue heron was posing for my husband...lovely wings!

We wanted to see how the baby eagles were doing.  One was at the edge of the nest.  And, if you look closely, Dad and Mom are keeping watch perched on the limbs of the tree above the nest.

A closer peek of the baby eagle...

Thank you for dropping by!  Have a great weekend!  And, a big THANK YOU for all those who have served and are serving for our country!  God bless USA!

Hugs,
Maria

Thinking of You...

Hi, there!

It's a perfect day here in NW Ohio!  I planted a few gerbera daisies and plan to plant some geraniums this weekend.  Those who have plans for the Memorial weekend will be happy with the great weather forecast.  I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend!

I'm here today to share with you a couple of cards.  It's not always easy to make a sympathy card, but it's a good thing to do and it's appreciated.  I'm entering a card over at Simon Says.  And, here are my cards...

For my cards, I started with a gray card base and paired it with black.  The flower images from Altenew were stamped and colored with copics.  The sentiments are from Paper Sweeties.  Pearls to finish the card.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by!  It's appreciated!
Take care!

Paper Sweeties May 2018-Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today I am sharing a project made with the new treat box die, heart, and sentiments!    Since today is the Release Rewind, we combine the new release with previously released sets.  On the treat box, I created a little scene with spot in the window wishing he was outside enjoying the warm weather!

And, here is my project...

The Sweet Cuts-Treat Box was made by die cutting twice and assembling the box with double sided tape.  The heart and sentiments are from the same set.  The sweet little pup is from the set Planner Series: Appointments.   This pup is the smaller version of the pup from the set Sweeties Pets.  The tree and birds are from the set Home is where your story begins.  I just love those darling birds with the hearts!  The flowers are from Tree of Life add-on: spring.  The grass was made using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.  And, the window was made using the set Sweet Cuts-Window Add-on: Elements.  Sequins(Strawberry) to finish the treat box.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Take care!

Hi, Friends!

I'm here to share with you my card for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is (Birds).  I love seeing cardinals around our home.  My Mom loved cardinals, too.  So, every time I see one I think of my Mom.  My card took on the colors of red and brown as you will see below.  A simple hello card to have in my stash.  We can always use one of those to have at a moment's notice to perk up someone.  Who likes receiving happy mail?  I know I sure do!

Please join us for this fun challenge and have a chance to win a gift certificate to the store!

I was inspired to make a spring card with several birds!  And, here is my card...

I started with a tan base and paired it with dark brown.  The birds and branch are from Memory Box.  The zig zag die and tulips are from Lawn Fawn.  The sentiment is from MFT.  The grass die is from Frantic Stamper.  Dots and twine to finish the card.

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!

Paper Sweeties May 2018-Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Sneak Peeks!  Debbie has a new sentiment set and a treat box die that are new this month.  They will be available tomorrow to purchase!

I'm highlighting the sentiment set today, which has lots of fun sentiments!  My husband especially loves the sentiment seen on my card below.   A way to a man's heart is through his stomach, right?!  If it were up to my husband, he'd have biscuits and gravy every day for dinner.  But, on occasion when we go to Bob Evans for dinner he indulges!  I think it's a fun sentiment and it goes along great with the previously released set Howdy, Y'all.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a red base and paired it with brown and plaid.  Jake was colored with copics.  He is holding a plate of biscuits.  They are actually cookies from the set Stand Add-on: Mistletoe, but for today, they are biscuits.  Jake's outfit is from the set Howdy, Y'all.  A scalloped frame was placed behind Jake.  It was stamped with cowboy hats with gold Nuvo drops added for interest.  The scallop frame is from the set Sweet Cuts-Rectangle Scallop Frames.  The sentiments are from the new set Hay Y'all.

Please be sure to stop by the following to check out inspiration from my teammates...have fun!!

Happy Mother's Day!

A photo of Mom and me
ten years ago on Mother's Day.
 She is dearly missed.

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!  I'm back at my computer and have a few photos to share.  It has been a great week with my husband on vacation.  We've done some visiting, shopping, and birding.

We had a great day visiting with my son after his work day this past week.  The weather was wonderful his way...sunny in the 70's.  We've had quite a bit of rain and chilly temps.  But, it's warming up in our area to the 70's this week.

My son has worked on the computer and has it running more smoothly.  He came up last night and finished working on it.  Today, we went to lunch and had a delicious meal at our favorite restaurant.

As, if the day couldn't get any better, my husband and I went to Magee Marsh for birding.  It was the final day to celebrate the migration of the warblers that migrate to this area every year.  We are blessed with a couple of eagle nests.  It is so relaxing and fun to see the lovely birds.  People from all over the country come to view the birds and take lots of photos.  Everyone is so helpful to each other, too.  They point and show one another where they can spot and take the perfect photo of the lovely birds!  We even viewed some turtles and a frog enjoying the sun.  I hope you enjoy the photos.  And, here they are...

If you look closely, you can see the

Well, that's all I have for now.  Thanks so much
for taking the time to view my photos!  I hope you
enjoyed seeing them!  Take care and have
a wonderful week!
