Prayers...

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a couple cards that I made today.  Very CAS cards for me, but I wanted to send one of these for a friend's husband who had surgery.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts and the leaves are from MFT.  I used distress inks for the background.  Gold Nuvo crystal drops for the final touch.

On my next card, I did the inlay technique with the sentiment.  I'm thinking that I like this card better than the one above.  What do you think?  It was my first attempt at the inlay technique and I really like the dimension.  I didn't get it centered exactly.  Note to self...measure next time...lol.  But, anyways...it was a fun try.  And, here is my second card...

Well, that's all for now.  I hope you have a great day!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Thinking of You...

Hi, there!

It's a lovely fall day here.  A bit humid, but the sun is shining and it's a wonderful day!  I'm popping in quick to share with you a commissioned card for a friend.  She requests cards from me at times to send to her friends.  She told me her friend loves music...singing, etc.  She thought maybe music notes on the card.  I'm entering this card over at Word Art Wednesday.  And, here is what I came up with...

I started with a white scalloped card base from Bazzill.  I used a MFT die and die cut musical paper from DCWV.  The sunflowers from Paper Sweeties were embossed and water colored using zig markers.  The music die cuts are from Poppy Stamps.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties, also.  Nuvo gold drops were added for the finishing touch.

Well, that's all for now.  Hope you have a great evening and a wonderful weekend!  Thanks so much for dropping by!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Paper Sweeties September 2017-Release Rewind!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  We hope you have been inspired by the design team with the new release this month!  I'm highlighting the darling dog from the new set Sent from my heart!  The dog, letters, flowers, and sentiments are from the set.  He is delivering happy mail to his tree friends!

So, today we share with you a project with new stamps/dies combined with previous released stamps/dies.  And, here is my card...

The previous released stamp sets that I used are Tree of Life add-on: spring, which is the owl, bird, and wheelbarrow.  The tree was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Tree of Life.  The sun is from the set Somewhere over the Rainbow.  The images were colored with copics.  I know it's difficult to see, but Wink of Stella was applied to all the images.  I'll be sending this card to my friend, Nancy, who loves owls, dogs, and cardinals.  I hope she likes it!

Paper Sweeties September 2017-Release Party!

Hi, there!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day that you can purchase the wonderful new stamp/die sets that are released this month!  The new sets are Happy Mail and Sent from my heart.  The coordinating dies are Sweet Cuts-Happy Mail and Sweet Cuts-Sent from my heart.  Today I am highlighting the set Happy Mail.  Who doesn't like happy mail?!  I love getting happy mail! And, here is my card...

I must have had a patriotic thought in my mind because I went with red, white, and blue.  But, I did want to incorporate the washi tape at the top on the white panel.  At times with creating, I'm not sure where my mind is gonna go...lol!  Anyways, the snail and sentiment were embossed with silver.  I made an envelope using vellum.  Inside I stamped sentiments saying...hugs and kisses.  Sequins of (Strawberry)(Blueberry), and (Marshmallow) were added to the inside of the envelope.  Twine on the heart and googly eyes to the snail for the finishing touch!

A view of the inside of the card...

A matching envelope...

Paper Sweeties Plan Your Life Series-September!

Hi, Friends!

Today I'm revealing my planner pages for the month of September!  There isn't a new planner set for this month, but I've used many previously released sets.  I decided to go with a school theme with Madison.  She is ready in her outfit along with her school books for the new school year!   And, now a closer peek at my planner pages...

Madison is ready to learn!  She has an apple for the teacher, too!  Her outfit is from the set So Proud of You.  The sentiment at the top of the page and the books are from the same set.  The large stars are from the set Merry and Bright.  The crayons at the bottom of the pages are from You Add Color to my Life.  The planner sets that I used are Planner Series:Get Your Craft On,  Planner Series: AppointmentsPlanner Series: Wedding, and Planner Series-Celebrate .
