I'm back!!! It feels so good to get back to making some cards!!! I was busy with Christmas festivities and that bad four letter word...WORK...hehehe! Anyways, I certainly hope you all had a wonderful holiday! We had a great holiday here. When my gravy turns out well, it's a success! It was great family fun with blessed memories. Hi All!

I couldn't resist this challenge over at The Play Date Cafe. The rich color of red is my favorite! Red just pops when it's against white. I played with my copic markers. I'm still learning with them! I tried to make the poinsettias real by making some squiggly lines with light pink in the center. I just love all the different colors of poinsettias this time of year! Anyways, Merry Christmas from our house to yours! Thanks for taking a peek, and I appreciate any comments! Take care!

Hi there!

I was happy dancin' when I saw my name on the Fab 4 for Play Date Cafe Challenge #51!!! I seriously did not think I'd do well with the challenge when I first saw the colors. I tend to go for the brighter colors, but a challenge it was and I was happy to stretch myself and learn with the process. So, I thank the Play Date Cafe Challenge designers for such inspiration with this great challenge and choosing me as one of the Fab 4...THANK YOU!!! You all take care and have a great day!!!

Good Afternoon!

Hope all is going well with you! I thought it was a good time to finish and post this card for the challenge over at Play Date Cafe. The colors they come up with for the challenges are so fun fun fun!!! The construction workers are paving our road in front of our house today. So, I have a barking dog. He's a German shepherd who loves to be protective, which is a good thing, I guess...hehehee. A good way to get away from the noise was to close my door to craft room, turn music up, and stamp away!!! I looked through some of my Christmas stamp stash and saw this cute angel from Hero Arts. She looks a bit like me don't ya think? Ok ok...I mean if i would have given her brown hair...no??:-) Well, I hope you are having a great day in your corner of the world! Thanks for taking a peek...take care!

Happy October!

Hope you are having a great weekend! I made this card for the challenge at Play Date Cafe. Stop on over 'cause the challenge this week involves gorgeous colors!!!

It's a chilly one here with gray skies and rain. We went to a bday party this afternoon. The Ohio State game was on and they won...yeah...go Bucks! So, my husband was a happy man...hehehe. I should have said ok let's go craft shopping now. :-) But, we went pumpkin shopping instead. Fall colors on the leaves and pumpkins here and there. It's a lovely time of year! Ok, about my card here, I struggled a little with it and ended up with what you see. The picture could be better, but got it later this afternoon without sun. Maybe the sun will come out tomorrow...la la la...hehehe. OK ok...I know...I'll stop 'cause I can't sing! :-)) Take care and have a great weekend!

CPS #185

Hi there!

Hope you are doing well this evening! I'm trying to get some cards done for fall birthdays. I recently bought an EK leaf punch...love it! I needed another male bday card, so trying to keep it simple. Am working late on cards this evening because I wanted to clean my closet and get out fall clothing earlier today. Household chores get in the way of my card making. Darn cleaning lady quit on me again...hehehe. Today is the first day of fall...wow...where has the summer gone? It just usually flies by doesn't it? Ya know, today was quite warm high 70's and tomorrow we may hit a record of 90's. It doesn't feel like fall, but I'm sure it will soon. Our fall apple festival here in town is just around the corner in early October. I'm really looking forward to getting an apple dumpling and tasting all the goodies...mmmm. Well, back to my craft corner...take care...have a great week!

CPS#184

Hey All!

How's it going? I'm sayin' TGIF...yeah!!! The sun is going down quickly. So, I didn't get the greatest picture of the card. I needed to make a male bday card. And am using this card for the CPS #184 card challenge. I could have added some sewing on the card, but didn't want to get too fancy since it's for a male. I found the felt and glitter leaves at Jo-Ann Fabrics today. I visited my Mom and then made some shopping trips. Isn't is something how the car just wants to drive up to those craft stores? I mean it's not my fault 'cause somehow the car just stops...and ummm...I just have to go in and see and take a peek around...hehehe. Anyways...am gonna go and make some coffee and enjoy a little time with my hubby...enjoy your evening...take care!

Happy Birthday!

Hi there!

It's a perfect fall day here! Lovely blue sky with a gentle breeze. I so love this weather! If only we could pay off Mother Nature and have her keep this weather until next spring...hehehe. But, am sure that would ruin the ski industry! I haven't skied in years, but when I did it was lots of fun! And, oh yes, we must have that one day on Christmas with a few inches of snow. So, on second thought, I guess I won't mess with Mother Nature! Ok, anyways, just thought I'd post a birthday card I made for a co-worker. She has a little Volkswagen car, so I thought these stamps from Taylored Expressions would be perfect for her card. I had so much fun coloring and playing with these stamps...so so cute! Hope you all are having a great day! Take care!

Hope you all are doing well! The weather has turned cooler here. It seems strange to wear long pants and jackets. But, it just being September I am sure that the weather will be getting a little "summery" again soon. I'm certainly not ready to put away all my summer clothes away yet. Anyways, the cooler weather does put me in the mood to start some Halloween cards. So, for CPS sketch 183 I made a Halloween card...Boo-Yah! The BoBunny Halloween paper is just too darned cute!!! Thanks for looking...have a wonderful day!

Thinking of You

Hi All,

I needed a "Thinking of You" card, so i got out my cute little animals with hearts stamp from Hero Arts. Aren't those little animals cute?! The creative juices were flowing on this one. Also, a little mistake up at the top with my sewing brought on a needed adjustment. So, I sewed ribbon up top on right corner with a button. It gives it some more detail. Anyways, I had fun making this card. Isn't it fun to get out some stamps that you haven't used in awhile? I love heart stamps...they're not just for Valentine's...hehehe. Enjoy and have a great day! CPS #180

Hi All!

Am back from vacation...sigh...what a piece of heaven that we saw in Maine and New Hampshire! We went to Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine for a few days. We stayed in N. Conway, NH for the rest of the week and headed for home. Hubby was set on making it home on Sunday night. We left at 5am in the morn and got home that night at 9:30pm...whew...what a long car ride it was to and from...but so so worth it!!! A little piece of heaven we saw and took lots and lots of pictures. I'll have to post a few, but first I want to show my CPS #180 card for this week. Most of the items used on my card were from my stash. The stamp is from Stampin' Up. Hope you all are doing well...have a great week...and thanks for taking a peak!

Good Luck, Bingo!

Hi All!

Shhhh don't tell...I got sidetracked into my craft room when I should be doing my cleaning, laundry, packing...hehehe. I wanted to finish the envelope for my great niece's bday card posted earlier. I looked at my Mom's bingo card and thought hmmmm...I think I'll add a brad and flower to the little red bingo card. What ya think...does it give it more interest?? Ok...work with me here...I'm learning...yes, no? Hehehehe. Any constructive criticism is welcomed here.:-) Anyways, my Mom loves playing bingo, so I thought I'd make up this card for her. I so love that bingo stamp from Papertrey Ink...cute isn't it?! Ok...back to my cleaning, laundry, packing. Am leaving Sunday on vacation for Maine. Welcome to Neighborhood

Hi there,

We have some new neighbors who just moved in recently. So, I played Betty Crocker today and made some chocolate chip cookies for them. Also, I made a card 'cause...well...I just couldn't resist...hehehe. Don't ya know a card can be made for any occasion...isn't it great?! Back to work for me tomorrow for next two days. I've been able to make several cards lately...so fun! Good thing I'm doing it now 'cause we leave for vacation on Sunday. Not sure how much crafting I'll get done. Am thinking of taking scrapbook/card making items with me. But, oh what to take? Wish I could take everything...hehehe. Ok...I better do some house chores here. Have a great day...enjoy!

CPS Sketch 178

Hi All!

Hope you had a great day! I had a great one visiting with my Mom and sis. We had Chinese food for lunch...mmmm...so good. And chinese makes great leftovers 'cause it is so much food to eat. My sis reminded me that my great-niece's bday is soon, so I scooted over to my little crafty corner to make a merry making and whipped up this card. I'm not sure if I had this in mind at first on how it turned out, but it's what I came up with. Practice makes perfect...hehehe...and I love to practice making cards! So, thanks for taking a peek at my bday card for my little niece....take care!

Shadow

Just a layout of our son's dog, Shadow. Our King of the Yard!

I had time to unwind from my work day yesterday evening. So, I went to my quiet craft corner and made this card. Just LOVE Hero Arts Stamps! My husband and I went on a cruise to British Isles/one day in Paris for our 25th anniversary a few years ago. Seeing the Eiffel Tower brings back sweet memories!

Hope you are having a good day. It's much cooler here. So happy not to have high humidity with 90 degree weather! I've been out in the back yard with the dog throwing sticks. He loves to play fetch. He's actually our son's dog, a 4 yr old german shepherd...he's our sweetie...a very good dog! A day off here, so am doing laundry, etc. Ok...back to the laundry...take care!

Hi Everyone!

Hope your day has been a good one! We finally got much needed rain here again. So glad 'cause I didn't want to spend time out watering. I'd rather spend time here in my craft room. Saturday, July 24, 2010

Hi All,

I'm home trying to start this blog. I am not computer savy at all...whew...but I'm trying! I just posted a card made for a co-worker. We have a recognition/star awards at work where one writes up a recognition statement for a co-worker. And a patient can fill one out also. Anyways, I appreciated her filling one out and saying such "sweet" things about me, so I just had to go to my crafy "merry" corner in my craft room and whip up a card for her. I just LOVE the Pure Innocence stamps by My Favorite Things. OK...anyways...it's getting late here. Hubby did pull me away from my merry craft corner to see a movie. We saw "Salt" with Angelina Jolie. Am just gonna say...oh yeah...Girrrllll Powwwwerrr...hehehe.... Love it when she has said she didn't wanna be a "Bond girl" 'cause she wanted to be "Bond". The movie was full of action and suspense...a great movie!!!
