Happy Anniversary!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are doing well on this fine Wednesday afternoon!  It's been quiet on the blog here because we were away on vacation.  We did come back early due to not enjoying ourselves at the B&B.  I won't go into details, but the owner did not meet our expectations.  But, I will say that we enjoyed shopping, a beach day, and beautiful scenery!  We were going to go kayaking, but the weather was just so hot and humid.  It is quite humid here in NW Ohio today even after a rain.  I hear my friends have it very warm in the pacific NW.  I hope it cools down there very soon for you!

Anyways, I'd like to share with you a card I made for my sis and her husband.  I know that they will be looking forward to celebrating their anniversary soon.  He just had triple bypass surgery last week.  I kept in contact with my sis every day and Ron is progressing very well.

The MFT images on the card were colored with copics.  The sentiment is from Avery Elle.  Heart dots and ribbon to finish the card.

We called about picking up our dog, Sheila, today since we came home early.  They are so sweet for they will work her in with her grooming and call us when we can pick her up.  I'll be happy to see the little sweetie!

Ok, that's all for now in my world.  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and have a wonderful day!

Hugs!!

New Home!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are doing well on this summer day!  Storms blew threw here a couple days ago.  We didn't have any damage.  But, in Michigan that's not too far from us, there was a tornado that damaged an elderly couple's home.  I'm glad that they were not hurt.  It's a cooler day here and it may only reach about 70.  It's a welcome relief from the humidity.

Anyways, I'm here to share with you a couple cards.  The above card is for a friend who recently moved.  All images and sentiment are from Paper Sweeties.  I colored the images with copics.  The background was made using distress inks.  Twine to finish the card.

Also, I'm happy to report that our dog, Sheila, is back to her normal peppy self.  She loves to hunt for rabbits.  I believe we have a few that live under our deck.  The first thing she does is try to look for them when I take her out.  She's a silly rabbit hunter, lol!

Next up, is a card I made for my friend's husband who just had knee surgery.

The tree images are from SU.  I inked the stamp and then sprayed it with water.  The mountains and water were hand drawn and water colored.  The sentiment was computer generated.

Well, that's all for now until next time.  Enjoy your day and take care!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties June 2021-Release Rewind!

Hello there!
I'm back again today to share with you
a card with Jake!  He borrowed this car from
his gnome friend, lol!  And, he's on
his way to visit his Dad for
Father's Day!

I made a fairly simple masculine card.  The stamp sets that I used are Jake, Best Dad(Jake's outfit), Keep Calm and Gnome on, and Happy Cake Day for the balloons.  And, the paper with stripes is from MFT.  All images were colored with copics.

And, now the inside of the card...

We hope you enjoyed seeing projects with the new release this month!

Dies R Us Challenge-June15, 2021-Anything Goes!

It's the 15th and time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Anything Goes!  We ask that you use at least one die on your project for the challenge that Dies R Us sells!  Please come and join the fun and have a chance to win!

Isn't this a relaxing beach scene?  I wish I was there now, don't you?!

For my beach themed card for my sis, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with a rainbow die cut frame using a Lawn Fawn die.  The background was made with distress inks of kitsch flamingo, mustard seed, and broken china.  The puffy clouds were made using a Lawn Fawn die.  The chair, table, lotion, and sun glasses were die cut using dies from Frantic Stamper.  The sign is from Paper Sweeties and the sentiment is from PTI.  I hand drew the birds in the sky.  Dots placed to finish the beach card.

The links for the dies are listed below...

Dies R Us now has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)

Paper Sweeties June 2021-Release Party!

Hi, there!  It's the Release Party today for Paper Sweeties!
Today is the day that you are able to purchase the new
set Keep Calm and Gnome on!

I have a fun gnome project to share with you today!

Another gnome in the gnome bug!  She is tilting because she just hit a pothole, lol!  I'm saying...slow down, girl!  A fun sentiment on the side reads...love(heart) you gnome matter where you park it!  The background was made using mustard seed, picked raspberry, and wilted violet distress inks.  The new set that I used is the Keep Calm and Gnome on with coordinating dies.  And, the girl gnome was made using the set Build a Gnome.  Bubblegum sequins to finish the card.

Oh, I do hope you aren't getting tired of my gnome projects, lol!  Some love the gnomes and some not so much.  I think they are so fun and cute!

Paper Sweeties June 2021 Release Sneak Peeks!

I'm sharing my project for the new release from Paper Sweeties
this month!  You'll be able to purchase the new products tomorrow!
I think you'll love all the inspiration we have for you!
There is a really fun set that goes along with
the gnome sets that were released last month!
More gnome fun!!

All gnomes need a gnomebug, right?!  I think the new bug is just too cute for this gnome!  He is keeping it calm and gnoming on, lol!  I need to send this card to my son.  He did tell me no more gnome cards, but I just might send it anyways.  My son drives in the busy Columbus traffic and needs to be reminded to keep calm, lol!

For my card, I started with a white card base and paired it with a black panel and strips of paper from PhotoPlay.  The sky was made using mustard seed distress ink.  The gnome was made using the set Build a Gnome.  The car and sentiment is from the new set Keep Calm and Gnome on.  All images were colored with copics.  And,  Cookie Dough Sequins to finish the card.

For the inside of the card, the first two sentiments are from the set Keep Calm and Gnome on and the last sentiment is from the set Craftin with my Gnomies.

Congrats Grad!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you are doing well on this fine Monday afternoon.  We are getting a shower right now, which I'm not surprised for it is a hot humid day here.  So, I hope the shower cools things off for us.  Also, I thank you for your kind words, prayers, and support for our dog, Sheila.  I'm still trying to remain hopeful for a good report.  I haven't heard back yet from the vet, maybe tomorrow.  I'll be so happy once she gets the staples out.  I know that she has to be uncomfortable.  And, it's not fun with her having to wear the cone.  We do take it off her when she's sitting in the chair with me.  But, she's a trooper...the little sweetie!

***Update:  Sheila's report came back cancerous, but they think they got it all.  No lymph node involvement.  So, happy news today...praise God!  Thank you for all the support and prayers!  It is appreciated!

I've been keeping busy with other things such as making cards, etc.  I even managed to get out to a craft crop with friends last Saturday and make birthday cards and thinking of you cards for my stash.  It was great to get out and see many friends who I haven't seen in ages.

The above card is for my husband's niece who graduated recently.  All stamps and dies are from Sunny Studio.  Her school colors are black and orange.  At first I thought, I hope this doesn't look like a Halloween card, lol!  Anyways, I hope she likes the card.

Next up is a card for my son who recently got a job promotion.  He works for Nationwide and works in the special analytics department.    And, here is the card...

The frame is from Paper Sweeties.  The die cut stars are from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The dot circles are from PTI.  And, the sentiment is from SU.

I do have other cards that I made, but I'll post them another time.  Well, it's time to prepare dinner, so I'll stop here for now.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs!!

Dies R Us Challenge-June 1, 2021(Anything Goes)!

Hi, there!

Happy June 1st and it's time for another Dies R Us Challenge!  All you have to do is use a brand of die that Dies R Us sells...easy peasy!  So, please come and join the fun and have a chance to win a gift certificate...enjoy creating!

For today's card, I made a fun cute scene with frogs!

Aren't those frogs the cutest?!

I started with a white card base and made clouds using a Pretty Pink Posh stencil with distress ink.  The grass was made using distress inks of Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.  The images from Lawn Fawn were colored with copics.  The pond was made using Puffy Cloud Borders.  I need to put the Lawn Fawn pond die on my wish list!  But, I got some use out of the cloud border die until I purchase the pond die.  Twine to finish the father's day card.  My MIL loves frogs and used to collect them.  I'm sure I'll be using this fun Toadally Awesome set again very soon to send a card to her!

All dies that were used for my card with links are listed below.  I hope you create a project using dies and join us for the challenge!
