Thank you!

Hi, there!

Happy Tuesday to you! Are you staying warm?  The temp will be dropping to below zero here tomorrow...brrr!  Wherever you are, I hope you are staying safe and warm!

Today I'm entering my last card over at CCCB.  Sadly, Kirsty has decided to end the challenge site due to her busy life.  We all know how life can get in the way of our crafting and creating.  But, I wish Kirsty the very best!  Her challenge has brought so much inspiration and fabulous designers!  I had the pleasure and honor to guest design a few times.  I will surely miss the fun challenge site!  A big thank you to....Kirsty!!!

And, so my card was made with Kirsty in mind and the lovely inspiration photo!  I created a card with a floral background using Altenew stamps.  And, here is my card...

I started with a white base and stamped the flowers in several ink colors.  I wanted the card to be fairly simple so as to let the flowers take center stage.  The die cut frame is from Paper Sweeties, and the die cut sentiment is from MFT.  The heart and dots added for the final touch.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care and stay warm!

Hugs!

A new fur baby!

Hi, Friends!

I hope you all are staying warm!  It is quite cold here with temps in the teens.  And, to think it is going to be much colder next week below zero....brrrr!

Anyways, as you can see above we have a new family member, Sheila!  She is a rescue from the Humane Society.  She joined our family a couple days ago.  She settled in and is doing well.  I did housework today and she followed me everywhere, lol!  I'm sure she will soon find out that housework is very boring.  But, just being around me I'm sure gives her a lot of comfort.  We went from having a big German Shepherd to this little one.  We do miss Shadow our German Shepherd.

Our new dog is a chihuahua/jack russell terrier mix.  My husband told me that he doesn't want to get another German Shepherd until he retires.  I had a cocker spaniel ten years ago, which was my dog.  I was ready for a smaller dog again.  All you pet lovers out there know that dogs can be a lot of work, but they certainly can bring a lot of joy!

Ok, well, I do have a card to share today.  I've been working on some Valentine cards.  I made three of these to send out to a few ladies that I visit from my church...

I started with a red card base.  The cardinal from Newton's Nook was colored with copics.  The hearts and sentiment is from MFT.  The oval die cut is from Lil' Inker.  Glitter washi tape and gems  to finish the card.  Ok, that's all for now.  Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and stay warm!

Hugs,

Paper Sweeties January 2019-Winter Inspiration Day #3!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Day 3 of January 2019-Blast from the past-Winter Inspiration!  There isn't a new release this month, so the team is sharing inspiration with some winter favorites!

For my card, I decided to make a snow scene with Abigail.  Her outfit is from the set Let It Snow.  She is having fun in the snow pulling her toy red truck from the set Merry Christmas Y'all.  The back of the truck is filled with snowballs for sale!  The snowballs and sign are from the set Wagon Add-on: Snowballs For Sale.

Also, the darling red bird is from the set I Love Summer.  The star burst stamped and colored on her hat is from the same set.  The background sky was embossed with snowflakes from the set Thanks Snow Much and covered with a vellum panel.

Paper Sweeties January 2019-Winter Inspiration Day #2!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Day 2 of January 2019-Blast from the past-Winter Inspiration!  There isn't a new release this month, so the team is sharing inspiration with some winter favorites!

For my card, I decided to use more snowmen!  These are from the set Snow Friends.  The sentiment is from the set  Merry.  Also, the cut out windows were made using Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  The die cut sentiment is from the set Sweet Cuts-Wish.  Sequins (Marshmallow) to finish the card.  I just love these sweet smiling snowman/snow woman!  They are wishing for snow to keep their shape just like Frosty the Snowman!

I started with a white card base and colored the images with copics.  I'm thinking of giving this card to my sis, Cecilia.  She loves snow!  I can do without the snow.  But, I must admit looking at it out the window is a lovely sight.

Paper Sweeties January 2019-Winter Inspiration Day #1!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to January 2019-Blast from the past-Winter Inspiration Day #1!  There isn't a new release this month, so the team is sharing inspiration with some winter favorites!

For my card, I decided to make a shaker card and use the adorable waving snowmen from the set Snow Time.  Also, more snowmen friends drove by to say "hi" riding in the classic red truck!  The red truck from the set Merry Christmas Y'all was just released last month!  So many possibilities to fill the back of the red truck!  Today, it's a waving snowman, how fun!  And, here is my card...

I started with a white card base and paired it with paper from Carta Bella.  The shaker was made using Sweet Cuts-Circle Scallop Frames.  The sentiment is from the set Let It Snow.  The shaker mix was made using Robin Egg and Marshmallow sequins and small white beads. The embossed snowflakes were made using the set Thanks Snow Much.  The snow around the edges of the card was made using Nuvo Drop-Ivory Seashell.  Copics were used to color the images.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Hi, there!

Just popping in quick to share with you a Valentine's card.  February 14th is right around the corner!  There is only one heart on this card, but I wanted to create a scene with the darling birds from MFT.  Actually, all the stamps and dies are from MFT.  The glittery red heart was made using a heart punch.  The sky and grass was made using distress inks applied with a brush.  I have a heavy hand and applying the inks with a brush gives a softer look...love it!  My mother-in-law loves birds and so does my friend, Nancy.  I'm not sure who I will be giving this one to.  I just might have to make another one!  I'm entering this card over at Cupcake Inspiration Challenge.  The theme was to use something new.  The new items that I used today are the trees from the MFT die set(Spring Scene Builder).

Here is another view of the card...

Ok, well that's all for today.  Please stay tuned for Monday I have projects from Paper Sweeties with a snow theme!  And, speaking of snow it turned cold here and we had some blowing snow today.  I ran some errands this morning.  It wasn't a good time to be out and about, but now I'm back home in the warm house.  I'm crossing my fingers that we don't get a lot of snow until we get a new snow blower for our snow blower went in for repairs, but the cost to repair it is high.  So, since it's nearly fifteen years old, we thought it was time to buy another one.  Anyways, wherever you are I hope you are staying safe and warm!  Take care and thanks so much for dropping by!

Hugs!
