Congratulations!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in to share with you a couple cards.  First up,  I made a card for a friend who recently moved into a new home.  All stamps and dies are from Paper Sweeties.  I'm entering this card over at Simon Says,

The weather has turned into a wonderful warm weekend!  It's a bit windy, but I'll take it!  The weeping cherry tree has gorgeous blooms on it.  The daffodils are nearly done, but tulips will bloom soon.  Even our dog, Sheila, loves the warm weather.  She plops down on the grass and doesn't want to move, lol!

We had two big celebrations at church today.  One was for a sweet lady who turned 100.  And, believe me, she doesn't look or act like 100!

Here is the card that I made for her...

Please forgive the quality of the photo for I took it quick with my phone.  There isn't any blue on the card, but it shows blue on here.  The cake image is from Paper Sweeties and the numbers are from TE.

The other celebration was a pig roast for our first responders in town, police, sheriff, EMS.  How awesome to celebrate these wonderful people!  They work very hard to keep our town safe!

Ok, I'll get back to crafting.  I made a grad card and a thinking of you card today.  And, this weekend I'm looking forward to crafting with some friends!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs!!

Dies R Us Challenge April 15. 2022!(Flowers/Spring)

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to Dies R Us Challenge for the second half of April!  Our challenge theme is Flowers/Spring!

We are partnering with the Double Trouble Challenge Blog again this year and having a joint challenge collaboration.  It's fun and easy and you have a chance to win prizes both here on the DRU Challenge as well as the Double Trouble Challenge #108! The Double Trouble Challenge runs from April 18 - May 1 and their theme is "Frame It" - use a basic metal die in your project.

Here are the options to include if you want to join the Double Trouble challenge. You can enter the Double Trouble "Frame It" challenge #108 here.

Thing 1:  Trouble Maker (Double Trouble Challenge)
says, "How many of us have a Cricut or similar machine that sits idle?  Since the world of metal dies has emerged how often do you pull out your Cricut to cut a basic shape?  It seems most of us have accumulated some dies and now use a die cutter (Cuttlebug, Big Shot, Gemini).  I'm challenging you to select a basic-shaped metal die from your stash and use it on your project, e.g. frame, square, rectangle, triangle for your image and/or sentiment...  you get the idea.

You can stop here...
OR
play along with Twisted Sister's optional twist below to earn another chance in the Double Trouble random draw.

Thing 3:  Twisted Sister  (Double Trouble Challenge)
says, "It isn't difficult for me to pick out a shaped metal die for a frame and/or sentiment but I have accumulated so many other pretty metal dies.

"Mother's Day is around the corner... this is a good time to honor your Mom or someone special who has had an impact on your life.  My optional twist is to include flower(s) and/or butterfly(s) on your project. I'm going to use some of my pretty dies, however, if you don't have floral or butterfly dies, just use patterned paper, stenciling, or embossing.

Optional Twist:  If you have included flowers and/or butterflies on your project you will earn another chance in the Double Trouble Random Draw.

Thing 2: Double Dare (DRU Challenge)
says, "If you have included at least one metal die on your project you are eligible to enter at Dies R Us #191 HERE. There is a limit of three entries and make sure you post your entry on or before April 28th and you will be eligible for an extra Double Trouble random draw chance. The theme is Flowers/Spring.

AND...
If you have used any brand of dies that Dies R Us sells in their store, you will be eligible for an extra Double Trouble random draw chance as well as a chance to win the DRU $10 gift code prize.  Your die may already qualify. Click HERE to view the dies on their left-hand sidebar. Be sure to mention in your post if you used a die that is sold at DRU's store for a chance the DRU random draw.

SO basically the options for winning prizes are:
Thing 1: Use a basic shaped metal frame die to enter the Double Trouble challenge.
Thing 2: Use a metal die that DRU sells and include the theme Spring/Flowers to enter the DRU challenge and the random draw from Double Trouble.
Thing 3: Use a metal frame die and add a flower or butterfly to project for another entry to the Double Trouble challenge.

Here is my spring card for the Dies R Us Challenge...

For my spring card, I started with a white card base.  The clouds were made with a stencil from MFT.    The trellis is from Tutti Designs.  The butterflies were made with a punch.  The tag and sentiment is from PTI.  The flowers are from IO.  And, the grass was made using a die from Lawn Fawn.  Gems were added to the butterflies to finish the card.

The links for the dies are listed below...

Dies R Us has a sister store with warehouses in the USA and Canada called Didi Crafts

It will ship to both the US and Canada.  Didi Crafts will carry some of the same products as DRU, but most will be different.  Now our Canadian friends don't have to worry about huge taxes or shipping fees. How great is that!?!

My teammates have some fabulous inspiration for you today.  Sit back, relax, and take a look.... (you can click on their name to go to their personal blogs and get more detailed information about each project)
If you used a metal die to join our DRU Challenge and it's a basic frame shape, you have already completed all the requirements for both challenges.  If you've only used a die (but not a basic shape), you are still eligible for our DRU Challenge, but it won't qualify for the Double Trouble Challenge.

(remember, you MUST use at least one metal die to qualify for the DRU prize... and please tell us the die company you have used in your project.)

Thanks so much for taking time to visit here today! Have a great day, hugs!!

Happy Easter!

Hi, friends!

I hope you are all doing well!  Spring has sprung here with my pretty daffodils blooming, but winter wants to hang on.  The temps are in the 30's.  It will warm up starting tomorrow for a few days, so I'm certainly looking forward to better weather.

I've mailed most of my Easter cards and thought I'd share a few of them with you today.

The above sweet images from Sunny Studio were water colored after I embossed them with gold embossing powder.  I used a MFT die to die cut the panel.  I just love the cute images and the pretty tulips!  I'm entering this card over at The Four Seasons Challenge.

Next up, I used distress inks for the butterflies, which are from Sissix.  The sentiment is from Newton's Nook.  I die cut the panel after it was embossed with polka dots.  The die is from The Greetery.  I need to make more of these butterflies for I love the beautiful distress inks on these wonderful butterflies!  I'm entering this card over at Can You Handle The Pressure.

My last card is very simple with tidbits that I used from another Easter card using a die cut from Reverse Confetti.  The cross was embossed in gold, which is from Stapendous.  I thought I had a photo of that card, but it was already sent out.  And, I looked for the die in the store at Reverse Confetti, but I  could not find it, so it may be discontinued.  Anyways,  I finally used some tid bits for a card.  I'm always inspired by Carol Our Little Inspirations when she uses her tid bits!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a great weekend!

Hugs!
Maria
