Congratulations!

Hi, there!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter!  We had a great Easter with a beautiful church service filled with heavenly music!  The choir, bell choir, children's choir, and my son playing the organ and piano was so inspiring! After service, we went to lunch and had delicious food.

Anyways, I'm here to share with you a couple projects.  The card above is for my son who will soon be starting a new job.  He will stay with the same company and will have a different position.  He has been trying to move up for quite some time.  I'm happy that he has persevered and stayed strong.  He wanted a bigger pay increase, but any little bit helps.

For my card, I have die cut panels from MFT.  The congratulations die is from MFT, also.  The stars were die cut using dies from Sweet 'n Sassy.  The sentiment is from Paper Sweeties.

My second project is for a friend for her birthday...

I decorated a box to hold her gift.  The rose die is from Elizabeth Craft Designs and the die cut sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  The panels were embossed.  Gems and ribbon to finish the box.

Thanks so much for dropping by and viewing my projects today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs!

Paper Sweeties April 2019-Release Rewind!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Rewind!  Today is the day that we highlight the new released stamp set along with previously released stamp sets for our projects.  The new stamp set this month is Hello!  And, the coordinating die set is Sweet Cuts-Hello.   Wonderful sentiments and pretty flowers are in this newly released set for April!

For my Easter card, I started with a white card base.  The flowers from the new set were stamped with SU inks of Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, and Daffodil delight.  The stems and chick are from a previously released set Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.  I just love the darling little chick with the flower!  I tucked the flowers inside the zig zag bag.  The scalloped border was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Sweet Borders.   Sequins(Cookie Dough) to finish the card.

I used the chick once again for the inside of the card.  And, the sentiment is from the same set, which is Hippity Hoppity Easter Wishes.

Paper Sweeties April 15, 2019-Release Party!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties Release Party!  Today is the day to purchase the new stamp/die set, Hello!  And, the die set is Sweet Cuts-Hello.

I decided to create a couple Easter projects for Easter is just a few days away.  And, I couldn't resist a few jelly beans while I made the treat box...yum!  What is your go to Easter candy?  My son loves the peeps and my husband enjoys the Reece's Easter treats.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with a white card base.  The background was water colored with zig markers.  The Hello die cut sentiment was made with three different colors.  The small flowers are from the same set.  Jake is in his Easter costume(Bunny Hugs and Kisses) ready for the egg hunt!  The sign he is holding was gold embossed.  It is from the Hello set, also.  All images were colored with copics.  The little bunnies and eggs are from the Planner Series:  Happy Icons.

A view of the inside of the card...

Next up, is my Easter treat box filled with yummy jelly beans.  It was die cut using the set Sweet Cuts-Treat Box.  The grass was made using Sweet cuts-Sweet Borders.  The same eggs and little bunny are on the small tag which was stamped and die cut using Little Wishes set.  The sentiment on the tag is from the Jelly Bean Time set.  The ribbon and sequins are Creamsicle.  The sun is from the Somewhere over the Rainbow.  The frame was die cut using Sweet Cuts-Oval Scallop Frames.  And, the sentiment and flowers are from the new Hello stamp set.

Dies R Us Challenge-April 15, 2019-April Showers!(water related...i.e. rain, ocean)

Hi, Friends!

Welcome to the Dies R Us Challenge once again for April!  The theme is April Showers, but your project can have a rain or even ocean theme.

When I think of April, I think of showers.  And, April showers bring May flowers.  I can hardly wait to plant flowers.  In the meantime, I have a get well card for my stash to help brighten someone's day.

For my card, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with white.  I added a yellow embossed panel.  The umbrella and rain clouds are from Cheapo Dies.  The sentiment is from PTI.  The flowers and scalloped borders are from Lawn Fawn.  Twine and gems to finish the card

Another view of the card...

Paper Sweeties April 2019 Release Sneak Peeks!

Hi, friends!

Welcome to Paper Sweeties April Release Sneak Peeks!

Debbie is releasing a new stamp/die set called Hello this month!  I combined the new set with a previously released die set for the frame, which is Sweet Cuts-Square Scallop Frames.  I will have this card on hand for a "thinking of you" card.  The set comes with many sweet sentiments.  It's a great set to have as your go to stamp/die set.

And, here is my card...

For my card, I started with an aqua card base and paired it with the frame as stated above using paper from Echo Park.  The corner scallop pieces were made using the same die, but trimmed to give more interest with the black color.  The hello sentiment was stamped three times.  The ink colors used were SU Melon Mambo and Coastal Cabana.  I especially love the pretty flower with this new set that has a small flower that you can pop up on the large flower.  It gives interest and dimension.  I added pearls and seam binding ribbon(Robin Egg) to finish the card.

Another view of my card...

And, here is a view of the inside of the card using another sentiment from the new set, Hello.

Happy Birthday!

Hi, Friends!

Just popping in today to share with you birthday cards with two different designs using the same stamp images.  I already had panels with ink splatters in my stash.  I wanted more interest for the background, so I used a stencil from Studio Katia and lightly brushed on Distress Ink of iced spruce. And, here is my first card, which is following the above sketch for The Flower Challenge.

The flower images are from Sweet 'n Sassy and the birthday sentiment is from PTI.  Dots were added to finish the card.

Next up....

As, you can see, the second card is similar except for the design and the birthday sentiment is from SU.  Wink of Stella on the flower.  A bow made of pearl cotton and a dot to the center of the flower for added interest.

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today!  Take care and have a wonderful week!

Hugs,
Maria
