Hi there!
Welcome to the Release Party for Paper Sweeties! Today is the day to buy those *new* fun summer stamps! On my project for today, I used the stamp set Surf's Up, which has the boat and fish. And, I used the stamp set Island Time for the sentiment. Please scroll down to see my other project today for the Cardabilities Challenge sponsored by Dies R Us!
For my card, I started with a white card base. The background was made using salty ocean and tumbled glass distress inks for the water. I used a white gel pen and copic marker for more interest with the waves. The sky was made using mustard seed and spiced marmalade distress inks. The sequins(Robin Egg) and (Frosting) along with tiny blue beads were placed for the shaker. Twine(Blueberry) and blue beads to finish off the card.
Another view of my card...
Please follow along with the list below for more awesome inspiration from my teammates!

Thanks so much for dropping by! Take care!
Hugs,
Maria

ReplyDeleteThis is a brilliant shaker card Maria! What a gorgeous little scene - it's like looking through a little porthole! :-)
ReplyDeleteOMGosh, Maria!! This is SO fabulous! What an absolutely phenomenal shaker card! Your sea scene is brilliant! Love the Distress background, and the detail you added to the waves is amazing. And those fish! The googly eyes! And the adorable sequins and beads! AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteMaria I ADORE this card! Your background is fantastic! Love how the white gel pen adds so much to the waves! Love the circle shape and the sweet beads and sequin shaker! Incredibly beautiful design!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE LOVE your shaker! How cool is that we both ended up with shaker card for today? :)
ReplyDeleteIf only I had the proper words to convey how much I LOVE this project! I had a similar (but not as fantastic) idea last week, but lacked the proper goodies to bring it to fruition. The sailboat and fishes create the perfect scene! Your inked landscape is marvelous and I adore the sequins within the shaker. Twine makes everything even better, so I love that finishing touch around the perimeter. Exceptional work in both posts today, my kind and talented friend! :o) Have a sparkly day!
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Karen

ReplyDeleteYour shaker is drop dead gorgeous! Be-u-t-ful watercolored waves. Like looking through a ship's porthole. Awesome! OK, just saw someone else saw a porthole too, so it must be.
ReplyDeleteWonderful shaker! Love the coloring on those fish!
ReplyDeleteDid you hear me gasp?! Over the top wonderful card, Maria!
ReplyDeleteOh! My! Gosh! Maria, this card is AMAZING! The design, alone, is fabulous, as it looks like a porthole in a ship, and the blue beads and twine are beautiful, but the bright, beautiful shaker scene is gorgeous! The fish, and those fun googly eyes and the sailboat are fab, but that background steals the show! WOW! I wish I lived near you so you could teach me how you made the water and sky. Love the cute birds you added, too! Wow! Just Wow!
ReplyDeleteThis is just the most FABULOUS thing I have ever seen! LOVE the fish and the shaker details! OMGOSH, Maria!
ReplyDeletePerfection! And just as cute as can be! Such a great, little shaker!
