Ohio State!

Hi there!

Happy Thursday to you!  I'm just popping in quick to share with you a card I made for a friend who loves Ohio State football!  I miss the days when she was our secretary in the clinic at the hospital.  She would decorate with Ohio State items during OSU/Michigan rivalry week!  We always won the prize, which was a pizza party because she did a fabulous job decorating!  Anyways, she and her husband are huge fans as we are, too!  I made my husband a similar card, but I think this one turned out better.

So, are you ready for some football??!!  We are counting down the days.    Go Bucks!!!  Thank you for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Let's Party!

Hi there!

Happy Saturday to you!  Hope you have a great weekend!  We have perfect weather here right now with blue skies and temps in low 80's.  Next week will feel like fall...low 70's.  I welcome the cooler temps!:-)

Well,  I noticed a fun challenge over at City Crafter where the theme is "Around the Corner"!  That is one darling kitten peeking around the corner!  I was inspired by Kirsty's card with the cute little fox!  And, here is my card...

The fox, chick, and balloons were colored with copics.  I added liquid pearls to the balloons for interest.  I popped up the fox and pink balloon for dimension.  It's a quick card, but fun!  Well, that's all for now.  Not sure what we have planned for the weekend for we still have remodeling going on with the bedroom.  If my guys make too much noise, I might need to go shopping at a craft store!:-)  Thanks so much for dropping by today!  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Happy Halloween...

Hi there!

Hope all is well your way!  Just popping in quick to share with you a couple of Halloween cards I made today.  Is it too soon to start on Halloween projects?  Well, the stores don't seem to think so...ha!  Lots of Halloween candy on sale already...decorations, etc!  Anyways, I pulled out some fun Doodlebug papers and went to work.  The chevron dies are from MFT and the sentiment is from Studio G.  Just a quick easy peasy card.  And, one more that I made today...

I water colored the background with water color paints(Gansai Tambi).  The stickers are from Doodlebug.  I colored in smoke with a copic marker and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.  Wink of Stella was added for interest.  And, the twine is from Paper Sweeties(licorice).

Well, that's all for now.  Take care!

Hugs,
Maria

Baling Hay...

Hi there!

Happy Sunday to you, friends!  Our son is here this weekend doing work on our bedroom.  He and my husband are putting up new trim.  New closet doors will be hung, also.  It was all supposed to be done while we were on vacation, but the wood didn't arrive on time.  But, it happens with best intentions and that's ok as long as things get done.

Anyways, my guys are working hard and I noticed some farmers working hard also in the field behind our house.  Those are soybeans first with the wheat behind it.  And, behind the wheat is corn.  Those farmers will surely be busy come harvest time.  I thought I'd share these photos because it just looked like a great photo opportunity.  They aren't the best because the wind was blowing, but I hope you enjoy!  Also, just a few photos of flowers around the house...

Hi there!

Happy August 1st!  It's time for the Dies R Us Challenge!  The theme is Summer Time Fun!  I hope you've been having an awesome summer filled with lots of great activities.  It's been a rainy summer here.  But, we have had a couple of great days at my sister's cottage on the lake when the weather cooperated.  Fun times with great memories!

For my card, I started with a white card base and used lots of distress inks from Tim Holtz to achieve a summer sunset.  The Beach Border die is from Taylored Expressions.  The seashells are from Memory Box.  They were distressed with yellow and orange inks and gold ink added for interest.  The alphas are from Elizabeth Craft Designs.  And, the stickers in the top left corner are from Pink Paislee.  Twine from my stash to finish off this fun summer card.  The dies I used for my projects today are available in the store, which are listed below...

Ok, friends, get out those fun summer dies!  You have until July 13th to enter.  And, remember there will be a $10 winner for the challenge!  There are so many choices at Dies R Us store!  And, new items are added all the time!  I'd love to see your project in the challenge...happy creating!
